Okay, You describe a park & then people guess what it is! Whoever guesses it right first, gets to do the next one.
This park is part of a major corperation who's theme song is We Like to Party.
It is in the united states and has a great coaster named after a goddess starting with an M. It also has some sharks in the middle of the park and it just had a coaster taken down from it this year because somebody got hurt on it.
That should start it, If you need more info I'll add more tommorow!

Also, I don't believe Medusa was a goddess, she was a snake-like creature with many heads, I think, who's gaze turned people into stone. So she wasn't a goddess. If that is who you are speaking about, anyway.

It's Marine World, Great Adventure took out Viper, but I don't recall sharks. Medusa isn't a goddess, just another creature from mythology. Probably Zonga, it looks like they messed the ride up when they moved it from Houston.

She had one head, but snakes for hair. She was so cool. Turning people to stone and whatnot.

Medusa is related to Hydra. Hmmm, Medusa is related to Hydra in two different ways. Both were snake headed femme fatales and both are B&M floorless coasters. Even funnier, the Dutch had a class of minelayer ships called the Hydra class, and one of the sister boats is Medusa.

Okay, try this one:
The park has a wooden rollercoaster with the same name as a steel coaster which is modeled after a coaster which lies in parts near the park. It is also, in my opinion, the better of the twins.

Not sure if it's right, it's the only scenario I could think of.

While I wait to see if I'm right, here's another one for fun.
In this park the wood equals the steel. One coaster was relocated here, while another was renamed, so it wouldn't conflict with two coasters in the Paramount chain. Oh, and be sure to ride the train, because you never know, you may see a singing and dancing bear along the way.;)

I don't know what happened last night, but I couldn't log in. Anyway, the park is Carowinds. I think.

I was actually looking for SFGAm.
But you're right, they're similar. Viper - Viper - Shockwave

Cedar Point, but I don’t get the “travel to Alaska” hint.

I believe it says on the ride that you are being sent on an emergency mission to Alaska, and at the end, You pass a snowy mountain. It's Disaster Transport.

Actually, it's not an emergency mission... it's just supposed to be a voyage to Alaska on Dispatch Master Transport. Too bad the pre-ride shows are no longer working -- they explained the whole cheesy story, including why the passengers have to go through the repair bay rather than through the regular terminal.
When watching a DVD of the TV show Sliders recently, I thought, "Gee, that'd be a great opportunity -- instead of going to Alaska, Disaster Transport could be rethemed to sliding, with leaving people to wonder if they've re-entered their proper world upon exiting the ride."
But, they didn't ask me. Bummer.
