:confused: do you need the exoansion packs to use shyguys's custom scenery packs for mainstreet? because I dont have the expansion packs[[i recently bought rct3]] and i've been trying 3 days to get themonto my game. i extracted them to my themes folder and all that jazz. can somonep lease help me i'm really frustrated.:cry: thanks in advance.

You can use it w/o the expansion packs.

If you have windowws (hopefully you do or it wont work) double click on the zip and it'll show a folder inside. Drag the folder onto your desktop and let it copy. Then navigate to Program Files, Atari, RCT3, Styles, Themed, and drop it in there, let it copy over. Once you do that, heres the part you probably didn't do.

You can't use it in a scenario or sandbox (i dont think sandbox but not 100% sure), you have to open SCENARIO EDITOR and it will be on the Inventions list to Research during the game ;)

yeah i didnt do the one part i didnt do. i tried using it on sandbox. hah. silly me, well let me give this a try and see what happens! thanks!

It is in the sandbox when you do it. Every custom scenery is there no matter what.

Anything you add appears in sandbox, only in Scenario Editor does it have to be "invented"

Did you take out the folder within the first folder? I mean that when you open the folder titled "shy-Main Street Set" is there only another folder inside it with the exact same name? If so, take that folder out, put it in the themed folder, and delete the first one.

^yeah i did that...but where do you put the common and style OVL thingy because when i do that with the other sets it says it already exists and asks if you want to overlap the file and i say no and then it wont show the OVL from the other file...

Leave the OVL's inside the main folder!!!

ahhh! im confused! i was just told to delete the extra folder!!! this is what i did! i copy and pasted hte OVL's and the folder with all the files inside onto my dektop. hten i delted the extra folder and pasted the OVL's and the other file folder back into the themed folder. but when i download the other sets it wants to overlap it!

There will be a folder in the zip that has another folder and a few OVLs in it. You want that folder. You dont want to open that folder and extract those.

If you have windows xp, do this:

Download the file to "My documents" When it's done downloading, a window will pop up showing the folder, DO NOT TOUCH THE FOLDER!!! Go to the little menue on the left, the first option should be "Extract all files" click it. Then go to browse (next to the text box) and click "my computer" C drive/program files/atari/rollercoaster tycoon 3/style/themed. then click "Okay" Then click "next" the files should start to go to the right place. When done extracting, a window will pop up showing the folder in the right place, DON'T TOUCH IT!!! You're done!

That's the wrong themed folder...

It will be under C drive/program files/Rollercoastertycoon3/style/themed.

Thats where you put it.
