I've been working on this park for quite a while, and I thought it finally was good enough to publish a few shots.
The name isn't very creative (as I am), but I named this park like this from the very start, and don't care much about the name anyway.
Enjoy

wow, looks cool, can't wait to see more of it.
Also that Woodie looks HUGE.
The two coasters in the adventure area don't look good in the same polace though

I really like the Entrance, the cafe, and the green dingy slide looks nice, so does that wooden coaster

I like the theming of the railway and it's cafe, the train is too brown though lol. The waterpark looks like a nice contrast to the other parts of the park. The adventure area looks a bit blank and missing in effect though. Also I need an overview to see what the park's effect as a whole is. I just can't visualise, you simply saying waterpark at back.

A few more shots.
Remember, this is a park in progress and most if not all areas are still under construction and need (better) theming.

wow! very nice. :D  out of curiousity, how big is your park map?
Amaru
06-26-2006, 11:16 AM
Thanks  I'm not sure but it's a bit larger than the default park size (which is 128x128)
I think mine is 138x138, somewhere near that

Not soon.
Like I said, it's still under construction, and I don't plan on finishing it soon.
I will take my time and make something beautifull of this.

Wow, can you post some closer shots of the black and white coaster in the background in the overview shots, looks cool.
Can't belive it, you have done loads in this park, looking great, can't wait for your next update.

Ok I have 2 things I think you should change. Firstly the entrance looks like it needs some large supports on the interior, It doesn't look like it can really hold up the roof just like that, with that large an interior, but that might be just me.
The other thing being that you should get the cook's vaulting set for the station, you can make proper arches for the entry way's to the train, aswell as get rid of those little brick blocks in the walls and the grey undersides on your semi arches.

Thanks for the comments.
I took some of your advice and made supports inside the building. (still under construction though)

I do get my inspiration from other parks, so if you see something that you came up with first, I give you credit. (e.g. Trackbeds planters)
Oh and I deleted that black-white coaster before I read your post; it was not good enough, but I'll be building a new coaster in that area.
Also, progress will go slowly from now on, as I don't have that muc time to work on the park.
Thankyou.

small update
what do you guys think of these supports for this coaster.
It is set in the adventure themed area, so I didn't think the Steelworx supports would look good.
That's why I used these wooden-like supports, but I'm not sure yet if they look ok.
Oh and not all of the coaster is supported yet.
What are your opinions?

Okay thank you.
That coaster is now finished, I only need to plant a few more trees around the area.
Now I'm working on a nice restaurant near the pool area. So peeps can have a nice meal after they finish swimming
Also I'm looking to rebuild the train station (building with the turqoise roof)
Come back this weekend!

Steelworx supports would go very well in this area, theres no reason not to use them, IMO. These supports dont look good at all, sorry :( I dont think they would be structurally sound either.

Nice Park  I like the wooden supports, but I think there could be a few more, in some places it looks like the track is just floating... try and find a balance... not too much but not too little either

I think the wooden supports look dubious but it's too late to get rid of them now lol. With the lane leading to the pool entrance and restaraunt, with the sunk in disney fences, try putting circus set low railing into them, the fences sunk in look too low.

Construction on the new railroad station has begun!
It's now being built to match the architecture of the rest of the buildings in the same area (general theming)
The Railway Cafe will most likely be rebuild as well.
Now on to the screens
Layout of the new station building.
The large area will have the actual station and the walkways in it. The smaller enclosed area will be used as a control center and/or service center.
Then the small area near the water will be a balcony (second floor) for peeps to sit and relax, and enjoy the beautiful view over the lake.
http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/7004/newtrainstation19zh.jpg
More progress has been made to the building. Some walls have been placed, and most of the path layout is already laid out.

I like your new station.
The Green color helps it blend into the landscape. Feels like an old station.
It this is what you intend, then the green works.

thank you for the comments.
here's another update
The new train station is finally finished
While doing the station, the game crashed 2 times, so I lost game progress 2 times, that's why it took a little longer than I expected.
There's more to come though, I even made a nice arcades hall today in no time.
Station exterior:

Park map with peep's current location:

Peeps can have a relaxing moment of the train station's balcony. They have a nice view over the lake and the mountain:

Interior shot, with a nice touch to the stairs:

More interior, now looking along the tracks and the ticket booth, towards where the train enters the station:

New arcades building, a.k.a. House of Fun(because that sign was already in my CS list):

Progress is being made slowly.
Two new buildings have been built in my own 'Main Street' area. Chicago style.

Took a while, but here's an update.
I haven't had much time to play lately, but I started with this train support/train bridge yesterday, and finished it today.
I don't like the default railroad supports.
I actually had in mind to make enclosed supports, like a solid stone base for the tracks. But even with custom scenery I couldn't get it done, so now it's semi-enclosed/semi-open
I forgot to resize the images, sorry, so just click the thumbnails to enlarge them.

No one seems to be interested in this anymore.
This park is on hold as of now.
Crappy parks/threads get lots of replies, and my at least decent park gets only 1 or 2 replies per update.
That's not how it's supposed to be. Just not fair.
Here's a last shot of the park; right after the covered train bridge, before the train goes downhill, there's a kind of cave, which you see here.
http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/9233/shot0225yp9.jpg
I think it's a nice last shot, leading you through a tunnel, not knowing where your journey will end.
Peace. Until later. :sour:
