Hey all, just getting used to rct3 and thought i'd start having a go at making a proper park now ive got my new computer :) I dont really know how to use everything yet so this is pretty much a practice park, but I thought i'd post it as I like showing people what my works of art :noob: and I would really appreciate advice and constructive criticism.....be nice though ;)

Anywho, this is the entrance area of the park. I know the actual entrance hasnt isnt much at the moment but once ive done some other areas I might go back and make a proper entrance. You can see the first rides through the trees.

This is the area you could see through the trees, its kind of a small fariground area with a maze I built behind it.

This is the first rollercoaster in the park, I havent got a name for it yet. It come out of the large building and the main part of the ride is over the water. It's quite small for a coaster but I thought id start small and build a bigger one further into the park.

The Lost City of Atlantis is an aquarium built into an ancient building, supposedly part of the city of atlantis. The building sinks into the water, you can just see the top of a tower emerging from the water. A submarine ride runs through the underwater section of the ruins, which provides a good look at the underwater ruins. The last picture is inside the main part of the ruins with the aquarium.

Heres an overview of the whole park so far. I need to fill out the empty parts and finish of the sea themed area at the far end.

That's all for now, I would appreciate comments cos I need some good advice :noob:

looks good!
I suggest changing the purple building a bit, so it doesn't look so blockey,( especcially the roof)
and for the realism: in pic 5, the submarine would go right through that door(the telescope thing)

that's all I can find that I would chance, but it's your park so it's your disicion;)

Looks good...

I'd theme it a bit more desert-like and keep the name... then people could sing to that old America song...

"I've been through the desert in a park with no name..."

Thanks for the ideas poekie. By the purple uilding do you mean the blue building :) If so I kind of know what you mean, but I'm not really sure what to do to it. I tried to avoid blockiness by making the side you can't see in the picture curved, but it hasn't really prevented it being a large block :p I was going for a moden sort of feel with that main building so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Oh yeah. and you weren't supposed to notice the submarine problem ;)

I've almost finished off the sea themed area at the far end, and feel like showing what i've done so far since i've done a fair bit since I last posted. This is the front entrance to waterland, as I have named it (original, I know :) ) You can see the tower has had a complete overhaul since the last pictures. I actually rebuilt it twice, once to make it look not rubbish, and again because I was making it into a viewing platform. Inside the tower is an elevator that takes people to the top.

Here you can see I have finished the largest building in waterland that was being built in the previous pictures. At the left end is an eating area that overlooks the lake. The middle part is similar to a pier, as it lets people walk along the lakeside beach before going inside again for the atlantis aquarium. The atlantis building then joins onto this building.

This picture gives an overview of the back end of the tower, the main square and the waterpark. The waterpark is pretty small, its actually my first go at even playing with the pools and slides, so its probably awful ;) The complex has three flumes (which is probably all that would fit in there) One bog standard flume, one of them flumes with the bowl thingy on the end, and one of those flumes withshooty thing, you know the ones i mean :) I think the best one is the last one, which goes underground about as far as the maze then back again.

This is the main square. You can see a steel band playing behind the fountain, where there is a water and light show every night, with fireworks. To the right of that is smugglers inn, a pirate themed ride that takes you through a pirates hideaway in a ghost train format. I could take some pictures of inside but I dont think you'll be bothered and I most definitely can't be bothered. ;)

Anywho, let me know what you think and of any improvement I could make.....or better yet, what could go in that large green space in front of the waterpark?
