I think more normal tuner cars like civics, integras, evos, preludes would bring a whole new generation of gamers. You can use these cars as starter cars and that way whenever you see a player with a Lambo driving by you wont be like...ho hum look...another lambo. This will add increased depth and contrast to driving an exotic in the game.

Like Koenig said, not the point of the game. As I have said in another post, the whole "story" of the game is that you are a rich guy making the tropical paradise island of O'ahu your playground with the fast cars and fancy houses. When was the last time you saw a rich guy driving a "normal" Honda Civic? The starter cars in the game, the 350z and I forget the rest, are perfect and believable starter cars for a "wealthy" person. They aren't super expensive but they still look sporty and flashy.

Does Bill Gates count?

Lol, seriously, he's supposedly been seen driving a Civic out of his car collection. :haha:

Bill Gates doesn't count because he just doesn't fit the profile, IMO anyway, of a "rich" guy. Of course he definately qualifies, lol, but when I think rich guy I think of like the "playboy" style rich guy, who has all the cool toys and is flashy and kind of a show off and stuff. I make extremely good money, especially for my age (22) and I know that's exactly how I am. Not "show-off" in a way where people think you are a jackass or stuck up and where you act like you are better than them and stuff, but in the sense that I just like to have nice things. Bill Gates, while he probably has crazy gadgets and stuff in his house, doesn't really flaunt it (that I've seen) in public and such, as shown by him driving a civic, lol, and he definately doesn't strike me as a "ladies man", although these say otherwise:

yea part of the problem of some of the racing games of late is the "normal" cars and ricing them up.

the good old days the point of these games was to race exotic cars in ways you never could even if you could afford a 200,000 dollar+ sports car, you arent going to be doing 150+ down a residential street dodging in and out of local traffic. offroading in a ferrari lol thats the bomb.

plenty of games out there have civics and blah blah cars in em, not many have ferrari, mclaren, lamborghini, bugatti, ducati and so on.

you can go your whole life and never see a mclaren f1 the fastest prduction car in the world until like a year ago the f1 held that title for something like 10 years, and in tdu you can drive that car, thats the point of tdu.

Bill Gates might be rich but he is not a car guy. He isn't like Jay Leno who collects rare and cool cars. However, I can't fault Bill Gates. He's a philanthropist and a lot of people don't give him the credit he deserves.

I think Bill Gates is the best role model for how rich people should act. He spends his money for the better of mankind, doesn't have some supermodel wife (like Donald Trumph), I could go on...

Agreed. Donald Trump is an arrogant snot. I can't stand that guy.

Hey I'm not making fun of the guy, what he's done with charities and stuff is excellent. Hell, his foundation got my high school art class 6 brand new PCs for graphic design work. All I'm saying is he isn't a "flashy" rich guy, hence him driving a civic

Agent51: I was just giving Bill Gatest he credit I think he deserves. I didn't think you were mocking him.

Actually, Bill Gates is a little like Leno. His collection isn't as big, but he has quite a few Ferraris.

Really? I guess the press really makes him out to be a huge nerd on purpose then because I did hear about the Civic thing but nothing with the Ferraris. Oh well, typical selective reporting ..

I wouldn't include the Evo in the same list as a "normal" Civic or Prelude... that's for sure. I woulnd't mind seeing an Evo in the game, but as was first mentioned, that's not the point of the game, and quite frankly, I'm thankful for that. I pretty much lost most interest in NFS after they went the "Fast and Furious" tuner route.

I think it is a great shame that a few more 'normal' cars will not be included. I don't want them for the sake of tuning, but for the sake of variety. Sure driving around in fast cars is fun, and I understand it is the main point of the game, but everyone will want a break from this every now and then. To be able to just slowly cruise around in a crappy 4 cylander or a 4 door saloon and feel how different the handling is from some of the 'super cars' I think would be a welcome addition. Also, some of the best races I've experienced in other games aren't always in the fastest cars, sometimes racing some slower cars can result in alot of fun, as the focus is taken off fast-twitch reaction and placed more on conservation of speed and correct lines.

Something like a Toyota Prius would be a hilarious addition.

cerebus23

toyota prius would only be fun if jeremy clarkson was driving it around, marveling how god awful that piece o junk is.

you want to go cruising at 20 mph i hope you get arrested for impeding traffic, but just start your mclaren in 6th gear and you can crawl long as slow as you like.

Hahaha! What would be sweet is if they had a Prius driving around as a pedestrian, with JC driving, and an audio track playing of him bashing the car. Right-o!
