Hey, so I went to Six flags on wednesday, with a bunch of altar servers from my church (i know its lame, but it was free). So we arrived at Six Flags at about noon. The day wasn't the best weather- rainshowers and scattered-t storms, but I just thought that the park would be less crowded.

So here I am with my sister, waiting for the bus to show up.

The Entrance! I didn't realize how in the middle of a town that this was, the entrance was right next to a house.

To my suprise, the park was really nicely themed, and clean, with a good staff, though, as we would see, they were not that good at dispaching coasters and rides quickly.

I didn't get the chance to ride this, but I loved the pneumatic hiss heard all over the park. Nice noise.

Since the park had been open for a while, and it wasn't that crowded, we figured that Superman's line wasn't gonna be any shorter now than later in the day, so we started off at CC.

This was really fun, and we only had to wait for the cycle to end to get on. And it was really nicely themed around the base. Plus, when you were in the queue on the left, it whooshed over you impressively. And it spun damn fast, and was almost more intense than a KMG Afterburner I went on at a fair last month.

Next was pandemonium, which I was really looking forward to. It was just as good as I hoped, though the 40 minute wait was a bit annoying. And the ride ops dispatched at a 50 something second interval, which seemed rather long. In short, this is a slow-loading nightmare. The second time I used the single rider line, it was a walk on.:p

Alot of the rides didn't get up and running 'til after we got there. This started testing right when we boarded, and Cyclone (don't get me started) was testing for most of the morning.

Besides the River Rapids, the chairlift was my sister's only ride of the day. She isn't really one for the coasters and thrill rides.

If this piece of crap is an american classic, us americans have really lowered our standards.
http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/682/img5735nz0.jpg
my father is suspicious of this coaster's quality... and they were only running 1 train, and it took almost three minutes from arrival in station to departure.
http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/2140/img5736ff7.jpg
Turns out it really was a piece of crap. it was so rough, the trains looked like they were about to explode under the pressure.
http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/8555/img5738iq1.jpg
After exiting this nightmare, we saw my sister half-asleep wedged between one of the pillars for the ride next door (Cant remember the name), listening to her ipod. We scared her to death, of course, when we woke her up.

Let me tell you of my history. i have never gone upside-down on a coaster, since the only parks i have gone to before this are disney parks, and with my sister and mother coming along, thrills weren't really on the menu. the scariest coaster i had been on was Space Mountain. i had never ridden an Intamin, let alone a 218 foot intamin. So superman would become my fastest, tallest, longest, steepest, and most insane-est ride I had ever gone on.
http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/5815/img5746if1.jpg
"Its not that tall" i tried to convince myself. (Wimper)
http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/7024/img5747yp1.jpg
So we got in line, a really short line, may I add, it took probably only 40 minutes, since they were having mechanical troubles.
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/1733/img5756bm8.jpg
Believe it or not, this made me worry a bit.
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/8415/img5750qg6.jpg
The roar as it passed overhead was incredible.
http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/73/img5760lk3.jpg
Intamin coasters are the sexiest on earth. Look at those trains!!!
http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/4801/img5764ns1.jpg
MMMMMM!!!!!!!!! This is where the nausea set in for me. SO this is the last pic before I rode. I made sure I chose a car right in the middle of the train, and the second row of that car, so I had something right in front of me to grab onto. SO after they came around and trapped us in our restraints, i got more nervous. These 2 12 year old girls in front of me turned around and started doing som "Its not that bad" stuff. Thanks. SO we leave the station, and shoot up the lift. i yelled out my sister's name, and I guess she saw us from way, way, waaaaayyyy down there. And the rest is a blur. I never thought that you could get insane ejector from the first drop. WHOOOSH! Into the tunnel, over the HUGE 1st hill, through the turn (which was cool) and into the little dip before the 2nd hill. Now this is where the insanity begins. Throughout the whole ride I am clamped onto the grab bar for dar life ( i had red lines on my hand when i was done) and I couldnt stop screaming/yelling. over the 2nd hill, the most extreme air in my life, same for 3rd, the little section next was a bit of a break, but then into the helix (where the forces werent strong at all, I was suprised) Over the direction changing thing, where there was suprising ejector madness once again, another awesome helix, and then the ejector into the misty tunnel (Which wasnt really needed on such a humid, rainy day) and then out, and over the 3 airtime hills, and into the breaks. Whoah.
Next part of the trip goes in the next post, later today. I am also making a video ( i took 37 clips) w/ my camera, and I dont know when that will be done.
