I have seen allot of requests for all type of cars on these forums, old and new. So far I feel the game is looking pretty good but im seeing some problems with not including some of the best muscle cars.

I have seen no info or pictures saying that you will include Plymouths in your game. In the past the Test Drive series has always included at least the 1971 'Cuda. I also see one old Dodge so far the 1970 Dodge Challenger, where are the Chargers and other Dodge's??? The last Test Drive I played had the 1969 Dodge Charger and in the past you even included the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona.

I want to see this game go in the right direction and add more muscle cars such as the Plymouth Roadrunners, GTX's, Dusters, Superbirds, 'Cuda, and the older A body Barracuda's 64 through 69. On the Dodge side of it we should see both Hemi and T/A versions of the Challenger and Dodge Chargers, Coronets, Superbees, Daytonas, Darts and the early Super Stock cars.

I know you can not possibly make every car nor please everyone at the same time. With allot of these older cars you can take one car model and use it for 2-3 years of a certain production run of one body style. Not much changes sometimes, usually the front end's and tail light panels only change while the sheel metal stayed mostly the same.

I also feel we are not seeing enough muscle Chevy's, Fords, Mercury's and Pontiacs. How can we have a game that includes muscle cars and doesnt include a GTO or a Chevelle or Nova. What about 55-57 Chevy's lol? There are other Fords out there as well other than Mustangs (which they should add more older years of too) that need to be included. Im sure others would love to see old hot rods that we can slap a motor in and cruise around with, as well as the old lead sleds (49-50 Mercury's)

If some of these cars are not added I hope that you will work on them and add them at later dates for us to download, and keep supporting the game and comunity. I also hope you allow us to add whatever motors we wish to any and every car.

So all of us muscle cars guys speak up and dont give up, tell them want YOU want to see. I own a 1965 Barracuda and a 1966 Barracuda, I would LOVE to see them add them to the game. They can't read our minds so please speak up and say what you want to see!:D

I agree as well... my favorite Chevy of all time is the '71-74 Chevelle, and '70-'72 Nova. I love all Mopars... and though the Challenger (in my opinion) was the greatest, many of the others should be included as well. Such as the Cuda, Charger, classic 300 series, etc. The Daytona wold be an amazing sight on the road... it's certainly one of the most exclusive muscle cars ever... as are most of Mopar's line up.

It would be fun to race a Koenigsegg with a Mopar

I plan on it with my Challenger. :D Dunno if it would really be much of a contest though... unless the Koenigsegg driver was just terrible.

So far we have the GT500, a Trans-AM, and a 67 Camaro. Unless I am mistaken the Challanger listed is the 2008, maybe I am wrong. And also considering the car list is about 90 percent done I really don't see any more muscle cars added, if any at all maybe one. But all hope is not lost, if they are releasing as many car packs as they say (every so many weeks If I remember correctly) there should be plenty of room for some of the high end muscle cars. To name a few (some allready mentioned):

Plymouth Barracuda (carries the highest price tag for a muscle car)
Dodge Charger
Dodge Challanger (if its the 2008 ingame and not a classic)
Pontiac GTO (not the new one of course, Judge comes to mind)
Oldsmobile 442
Chevrolet Chevelle SS
Chevrolet Nova SS
Ford Mustang Mach 1 (1970 is a good year)
Ford Mustang Boss 302
Chevrolet Yenko Camaro

There are some greats like the Road Runner, and Superbee that didn't make the list but these are some of the most wanted/valued in my opinion. It makes sense to add more muscle cars in future car packs because that is one of the biggest rivalry segments. Besides the fact they all make great ultra rare cars for people to hunt down.

As far as i know, no one has ever put Oldsmobiles in a video game, and i think that they are the most underrated muscle car of all time. I would REALLY like to see a 1969 Oldsmobile 442.

And Just for kicks A 1972 Vista Cruiser (Basically a 442 station wagon. There hasnt been anything like it except the new Dodge Magnum)

Yep I agree also, a 442 would be great. I also agree if the game is almost done they can't keep adding more BUT if they do release car packs every so often this will be a great thing.

I was a beta tester for Motor City Online, I just dont want to see this game end up like that did. When the game went live they charged to play it so I didnt buy it. I did like some of the ideas they had with MCO but I will tell you they didnt have all that many cars in it either, and not even a year later it died.

This game reminds me of MCO allot. It's starting to look like what I wanted from MCO. Just hope we get a PC demo or beta soon.

There is a screen shot of the Challenger in the car list thread... it's definately a '70 or '71.

A friend showed me a blurry screenshot the other day from the TDU forums and im pretty sure it was a 70 Challenger. Lets hope they add the T/A version.

I hope the T/A will either be an option when you buy the car, or an upgrade package. Slightly less power... tons better handling. Actually... it could still have 300+ HP.

iemp7

why less HP?

I think he is saying make it have less power or the same, but make it handle a lot better. Compromises for the handling always seems to be power

The T/A only had a 340 in it... it's not gonna have as much HP as a 440 or a 426 HEMI... it's just the way the T/A model was designed. It only had 290HP... but it did have 335 lb-ft @ 3,400 rpm, which catapaulted it from 0-60 in only 5.8 seconds.

The most HP is not always the best way to go. The T/A was also lighter with the small block and came with a fiberglass hood and upgraded suspension package. Of course the R/T's had better suspension as well but remember when you have a hemi under the hood it's going to be harder to stear at high speeds. :)

The Yenko Camaro would be hot....maybe some Chip Foose cars could hang, like his Camaro and Eleanor of course. :)

I just hope its the 1970 Trans Am with the 400 and the IV or V Ram Air. The IV Ram Air 400 produced 370hp and the V Ram Air 400 ( rare ) produced 500hp. I like the old TA's but the 455's were not much to talk about stock. The 400's in my opinion rocked the 455's. You can make the 455's scream with some X series heads, cam, carb, etc... but this game is going off of factory specs. And from the factory the 400 was the faster more powerful motor.

About the GTO... i know for a fact they do have a 2004 GTO LS1 in the game. I don't know why they put the 2004 LS1 350hp GTO in the game, instead of the 2005 - 2006 LS2 400hp GTO in it... the 05-06 are faster cars.. it kinda boggles my mind why they would do this.

What TDU really needs is a real classic muscle car, like the 1963 Corvette Stingray. The new Vettes are nice, sure - but where are the classics? Isn't this the one that really started the Corvette craze?

the 427 cobra is coming in december. I can't wait, its my favorite car ever made! i would love to see a corvette or camaro ZL-1, and a 65 Shelby GT350R. I know they already have the GT 500, but the GT 350R was just as fast in a straight line and MUCH better around a track.
