Just installed the game into my computer. When playing (for 5-10 min), my screen turns blue and and says "Microsoft Windows is performing a shut-down to prevent damage...dumping memory, etc." then my computer restarts itself. When loading the game, the instructions informed me that my system met the requirements. Not sure if it is my video card, I can't determine its' properties. The game says (on the box) I need 3-32m video card.

Note: I also have RCT deluxe installed and it runs with no problems however; the box says it needs only a 1m video card.

Computer: 3-4yrs old Dell w/intel processor 3. Hard drive 20G, ram 250 or 500MB.

Any advise? Thanks.

Backyard Baseball 2005 has higher requirements than RCT1:

System Specs:
Operating System: Windows® 98/Me/2000/XP
Processor: Pentium® III 500MHz (Pentium® III 800 MHz recommended)
Memory: 64 MB RAM (128 MB recommended);128 MB RAM for XP (256 MB for XP recommended)
Hard Disk Space: 700 MB Free
CD-ROM Drive: 8X Speed or faster
Video: 8 MB Windows® 98/2000/Me/XP-compatible 3D video card* (32 MB Windows® 98/2000/Me/XP-compatible video card recommended)*
Sound: Windows® 98/Me/2000/XP-compatible sound card*
DirectX®: DirectX® version 9.0 (included) or higher

Backyard Baseball needs at least 8MB of video RAM to run.

What kind of video card do you have? Is it DX9.0 compliant?

Next, disable any background applications before running the game, i.e. msconfig.

Thank you for the response...I don't know if my system is DX9.0 compliant. My computer will not show me the card's properties however; I could not even view the game until I down-loaded the game pach from this site. As for the other requirements you listed, my system meets or exceeds it.

Thanks again for the response. I had to replace the video card to make it work...the old one had some errors that were too difficult to repair.
