Ok so I was messing around a few days ago and made a nice little splash boat ride. Well that little ride got bigger, and so did its surrounding area until......It became a whole new park!!!

I am going back to my tried and true "Silver Dollar City/Dollywood" themes, and can't come up with a name. But here are some teasers from the parks first ride and also what started it all......

!Grizzly Falls!
Here is the rides story...........

http://img303.imageshack.us/img303/1763/shot0303se5.png
Guest began there journey in the "Grizzly Mountain Base Camp" where they load up into their rafts(which someone forgot to paint). The rides ticket booths all nowhere to be seen.

http://img450.imageshack.us/img450/1293/shot0293cf2.png
The boat turns out of the station, and drops into the water. The building in the back of the pic is the queue line, where guest are treated with the views until it is there chance to conquer the falls.

http://img476.imageshack.us/img476/8360/shot0295wb3.png
Here is a pic from the queue line looking up at the "Watch Tower".

http://img458.imageshack.us/img458/3453/shot0291br2.png
One last turn before the lift.... I wanted this are to look like a dock yard where the boats drop out of a boat house. I guess it needs some more stuff.

http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/5097/shot0298gw5.png
At the top of the lift(which I am keeping along with the drop as a surprise later) riders drop down a short drop into "Grizzly Timber Company", where they are treated to views of antique forest equipment.

..........but watch out for the SAWWWWWW!!!!
http://img482.imageshack.us/img482/7489/shot0285ce1.png
I did my best to make something look like a saw and the windmill turn out pretty neat. This is also the last turn before a short climb and then the drop.

I hope you like this little teaser. I have alot of plans for this park...all I need is a name. Maybe some of you guys can help me out though and this park will really get going!

Nice!

I like the use of the windmill for the saw, and the shop for the control room, quite clever.

For a name how bout.. Hillibillywood

This name thing is killing me. I dont want to call it Ozark Mountain Homestead like my others but it is all I can come up with.

How's about Roark Mountain Park, an homage to the mount-top that SDC is located upon...?

You know how much of a fan I was/am of Ozark Homestead, and yet again with this latest park you don't disappoint in the least! I got chills seeing your use of the windmill as a saw (RIP Buzzsaw Falls; I hardly knew ye).

Can't wait to see more! Your landscaping is always to die for. You've got the art of Ozark mountain steepness down pat. :D

Thanks. You should get more soon.

I like that one but it sounds to Western. I am going for mountian type name.

Thank you so much. I think that name might acctualy work. Yes I to miss Ripsaw but powder keg really adds alot to the park.

How about "Smokeback Mountain"?
lol....no

I will post more pics later. I still need to tweak a few things, and add to the area in the pics. Hopefully I can get that done soon.

I caved in and decided upon a name......ready........ok!

Oakwood Hieghts

It still might change, because well I still hate that name lol. But it for some reason fit the look of most of the park. I went out early to mow today and got a couple of yards done, but a HUGE storm just blew though and now I am stuck with building a stupid park so I can post pics on here of the progress....my life sucks. lol Anyway expect some progress soon.

BTW- Thanks for the comments.

I used to have a flume ride named that in rct1 & 2.
Even if they were 3d, they'd get blown away by this. Excellent work.
Your wall details are fantastic. I like the use of different parts. That tower looks good to. I think a ladder would look better than just the rungs though.
I noticed all those lights - that would be fantstic at night! How about some of those shots?
I love the exposed joists under the roof too! Good detail!
Can't wait to see more!

FYI, it's spelled "Heights"

Looking forward to more updates!

Looks good hillibilly... but I can't get the distrubing thought of you sitting there naked out of my mind. (Your comment, another thread...)

As for a name... assuming the park will have a low-lying area, or that you'll be throwing in a river / ravine / waterfalls in there...

Grizzly Gulch.

Edit: Nevermind... I see you've got a name.

What is wrong with me being naked? *stands up and starts typing with Mr. Happy*

I am really sorry about the pics not being up, but I don' think I have added that is worth showing. I don't want to show the drop until the end. I also have been working on Blue Water Landing, so you might get to see an update on that.

BTW-If you look in the sig, you will see that I am about to start on my biggest an baddest project yet. It is the reason I bought RCT3 and you will soon see what it is all about. It will take be forever probably but it will be worth it!

^ I tried typing with Mr. Winky, but I kept hitting half the keys at a time. It's like trying to type with a baseball bat. :)

I take it you're going into semi-retirement after the next project? Shame, I really dig your stuff. I suppose we can hope it takes you months and months to finish. :)

You'll still be around, though, won't you? (Minor hijack of thread, though not for self-promotion, really..) I've been working on my FIRST park for the last six months or so. I didn't want to release it until I had decent skills, and with all the new packs coming out I have to keep redoing things! Anyways, you're one of the folks I was looking forward to comments from when it reaches it completion.

lol^. As for the retirement, yes. But I think that ride *whoops* will take me quite awhile to finish. There is already a layout and plans that be and a friend drew up about 4 years ago, and it is big.

Thanks. I just really like the looks of the wooded type of areas. Plus it is the only type of parks I visit most of the time(SDC at least 5 times a year)

Go right ahead:) And feel free to try an improve it. I spent awhile trying to make a table for it but it just didn't look right, because it wiggled around.

Thanks. I just got chance to see your new park and I love it. I will post there right after this.
But I found something wrong with the pics......I the computer that I have RCT3 on, I guess the screen is darker. Because when I looked at them on a different computer in our library I could see the stations ceiling was blue. Is it like that on everyones else. I must go fix that.

Hey Hillbilly - I am surprised I haven't responded in this park yet. The pics looks great and I would love to see the drop for the ride. As for a name for the park, what about:

Sandalwood Falls

I'm so excited about Kansas City getting a Schlitterbahn.... I've seen vids of the Texas locations on Travel Channel, and WOW.

Hope you're having fun on your vacation, and I can't wait for the next update! This park is awesome already, and you've only shown us parts of a single ride! :D
