i agree, all of his posts consist of one sentence basic topics like "they need this" "they need that" etc etc, at least make a well thought out post consisting less of a small comment or a question that requires a one question answer

Yea, I'm not gonna flame on you though. I do completely agree with you though. They should have all of the M-series BMW's. Including the M Z4 which I believe comes out in 2007. Although I saw one at a place called Kuni BMW in Oregon, available to buy for $60,000. And, being a hardcore BMW lover (we have two), I would love to see BMW's in this game. I mean, even though I own NFS: Most Wanted, I would much rather see them in a better game like TD: Unlimited. But at least they have my favorite car: Lamborghini Murcielago. And when I saw a clip of the game today with the car in it, and the engine sounds, my heart skipped a beat.

Z4M has been released, at least in Australia. Didn't mind it, hated how they cluttered up the steering wheel with buttons, my MY03 steering wheel looks much better and clean. I guess its, less is more for the Z4 steering wheel.

Given that all Z4 and their M models are built here in the US, we've had a lot of M Roadsters pass through our dealerships. It's the M Coupes that are sitting on a couple waiting lists.

Yeah, there out (one was recently sighted at a BMWCCA high peformance driving school at VIR), and, dang, that Z4M Coupe looks good...

Can't wait for Dinan to get his hands on it...

Shut up, you all know Audi owns BMW. And Lamborghini.

You IDIOT!!!!!!!!

BMW is NOT owned by VW/Audi.

BMW owns the, well, BMW Group, which includes MINI, Rolls-Royce, and BMW.

VW/Audi:
"The Group’s passenger car business is divided into two brand groups. Under the leadership of the Group, the Audi and Volkswagen brands are responsible for the performance of their respective brand group worldwide. The Audi brand group comprises the Audi, SEAT and Lamborghini brands. The Volkswagen brand group is made up of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Škoda, Bentley and Bugatti brands." That is from the Volkswagen AG website.

DaimlerChrysler includes 3 groups: the Mercedes Car Group and the Chrysler group and the DaimlerChrysler Truck Group.

Mercedes Car Group: Mercedes-Benz, Maybach, Smart
Chrysler Group: Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep

DaimlerChrysler Truck Group: Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, Fuso,Sterling Trucks, Western Star Trucks, Thomas Buses, Setra, Orion, Detroit Diesel (Components)

Thanks, but the position for FORUM MORON and STEREOTYPICAL IDIOT has been filled already. Many times. May I suggest INCONSISTENT SLOB or PERIODICAL UNDERACHIEVER?

I was implying that Audi owns BMW in the sense that it is much better, and owns Lamborghini in the fiscal sense. But then again, thinking before posting is quite the feat these days, so I don't blame you.

Well, if we can't get BMWs for the licensing reasons, maybe we can get Alpina ??? They do some amazing stuff with BMW cars and sell it under a separate name, so how about it ATARI.
As for the whole "Audi better than BMW" discussion, well, except for the new RS4 (at least untill the V8 M3 comes out) Audi has nothing on BMW, NOTHING. Just read some road tests, check out the internet and you will see for yourself. It would be hard on BMWs part to pay all those people for the praising reviews ! This is not to say that Audi is a bad car, in fact Audi makes great cars, just not up to the involvment standards of BMW. In my opinion, recently even Mercedes makes more engaging cars than Audi. Still these three brands pretty much rule the premium market, for me. No riceburnes need apply.
The design of BMW team is, well, controversial to some degree, but this is what sets these cars apart, and for one, I LOVE it.
My 2 cents.
Peace

That's what I wanted to say...haha. NO, you're totally right. The problem I have is that BMW cars use to have this classic but modern day European muscle car touch. Beefy and burly looking, elegant and luxurious...all at the same time. Now they've turned them into these americanized, flame-surfaced piles of unsuitable femenine quality. Sure, they still have a marvelous personality, but on the outside they're a fright-fest. I will never own a Chris Bangle generation BMW. And he's going to here for another 15 years. Bangle can shove it for all I care.

And to the guy who says he hates BMWs:

No one cares about your Honda Civic outside of highschool.

Let's just say I was gently placed into nice, soothing, 120mph 720° oversteer session courtesy of a 540i, and now will not speed in anything that doesn't have quattro. ;)

Oh, yeah, your right. Spinning on the road is 10x safer that understeering of the road and into the tree...

Oh, and it's called both feet in - on on the clutch, on on the brakes. In theory, the car will spin in a line, instead of all over the place...
Confusing, But do ya kinda get it?

I spent the longest time trying to figure out what the heck 540i had to do with a 120 mph 720 degree oversteer condition. Then I figured out you were talking about the car, not the resolution. I was thinking the resolution, for whatever reason. Now I get it. Guess it's time for bed :)

CAN'T.... DRIVE...... NEED....... QUATTRO........

Go to you tube and find a video of Tiff and Jason from 5th gear comparing M3 and RS4 and you will see, that even with huge power deficit the current M3 IS a match for the RS4.
You have to have some skill to drive powerful RWD cars.

540i's didn't come with manual ******'s till 95...this was a 94. And it wasn't driving skill (or lack thereof), the rear tires were completely worn out.

Then what the H*ll does that have to do with the car? Soun's like the rite's fault to me. Anything wil spin with no rear grip!

You obviously didn't check the "ASC+T" option box...

Kinda contradicting yourself there...."anything will spin with no grip", and "it was because the car has no ASC" (which it does)...

Quattro is still much safer.

How is quattro any safer?

Yeah, well... anything will spin with no grip... (See "Idiots driving in winter")

Well b/c it takes power from the wheels spinning to the wheels that arent and it kinda fixes the problem.

It doesn't matter if you have Quattro, a Hummer, or a Bimmer at 120 mph...if your tires are worn out enough....and you turn the front wheels...the car will spin. So Quattro won't save your butt if you're too cheap/stupid to buy new tires when the tread is gone. Ex: No one sued Ford when Firestone had the problem.

bimmerlovere39

Yeah, that's great, except it turns the car into an understeering sled.

And how come, in 2003, an M5 (a 3 year old engine and a 7 year old chassis) could accelerate as well as an RS6?

Why are you even comparing them in a straight line? These aren't american cars.

But if you want to bring specific models and years into discussion, how come Audi has won the last 6 or so Le Mans?

Because you said quattro increases traction.

But if you want to bring specific models and years into discussion, how come Audi has won the last 6 or so Le Mans?

1) I was only mentioning years and models b/c they were both previous-gen cars
2) Has BMW competed in P1 in a while? Nope. Your point is moot. Next.
