When I go to SFNE next Friday, I'm planning on hitting SROS first (avoid the lines :p). For those who HAVE ridden it, do you rise out of your seat before entering the tunnels or after?

The first tunnel is at the bottom of the first drop, so you do have some air on the drop heading into the tunnel.
As for the second tunnel, that's the best of the two. You have ejector air right before and ejector air on the bunny hops right after. IMO, Superman's ending is the best of all the coasters. That's why I have it #1, slightly ahead of El Toro.;)

I want to know this because I'm just a couple inches from being too tall to ride and I wanna make sure I don't lose my head :noob:

^^No problem, I love talking about my favorite coaster.;) As for the height issue, don't quote me here, but I think as long as your under 78 inches you should be all right.

You will be fine. I went a couple weeks ago (Check out my thread, there is a video w/ pov on it) and the tunnels are plenty high. I cant get the feeling of the first drop out of my head, you were out of the seat all the way down, and then, WHOOSH. right in. but yeah, the second tunnel was better, great ejector going into the second helix, great ejector over the top of the hill and into the tunnel, great ej out of it... its just amazing. I counted 9 amazing airtime moments, including the first drop. its perfect.

But yeah, to answer your original question, they strap you in so tightly, that you probably only rise up fractions of an inch, but its still mad ejector.

^There's ways around that, but I won't tell.:p

Well, yah, I can think of a bunch of ways around that, to loosen up your restraints to get more air, but, I'm perfectly happy with the insane air you get when strapped in tightly, and you don't have to worry about being thrown from the final turn or suffering structual damage to yourself.

Well, I'm having doubs about going on Superman now. I have that feeling I might pass out and fling off the ride. So I might just pass on Superman and go on the others

You can't fling out the ride if you pass out...and isn't the fear the best part of rides?

The operators ensure that the restraints are quite secure...and don't miss riding this coaster...it is one of the best, if not THE best steel coaster out there!
Even with the restraints tight, there are some fantastic airtime moments, but stay safe...don't try to override / circumvent the restraints as that is where accidents are possible! Have fun but don't mess with those restraints guys.
David.

I have to agree with David E. (That rhymes!!), superman alone is worth the price of admission, and I'm glad that I went on it, so I could brag to my family. The restraints are great, and there really is no way to accidentally fall out, or something. Its not like riding a kiddie coaster, with the lap bar there to stop you from standing up, they keep you in the seat. Its a bucket seat, so you can't be thrown out the side, plus you tightly seat-belt yourself in, which has 2 seperate locks, and then, they bring the t- bar down, and you are tightly snug. And, at least for me, the only way that I would pass out, would be from euphoria, because its so great. Don't let it pass you by.
Click here (http://www.rcdb.com/ig541.htm?picture=2). I mean, look how those people are strapped in. This is perhaps the safest coaster system out there, you are more likely to be killed driving there, by far.

I didn't ride SROS, I almost cried to get off BTDK (it looked FREAKY!), Mind Eraser was a nono, Typhoon's lines were insanely long, Catapult was shut down for some reason, and I'd have to be a real braveheart to ride SCREAM!
So I just stuck to the woodies and a couple other thrill rides for 4 hours

If you legitimately have a health issue where you feel you might pass out, then, by all means, you shouldn't be riding. If the thinking of passing out is strictly due to nerves and not a health problem, however, then I don't think you've got anything to worry about. Superman is a fun ride. (I actually prefer the Superman at Darien Lake, but everyone has their own tastes!)
