I have Windows XP with SP2 and I am trying to run a very old game called Hexplore that was published by Infogrames...
It crashes after a few minutes of gameplay even though I run it in compatibility mode for Windows 98. I was just wondering how to fix it.

I did a search for "hexplore in XP," but all I got were warez sites. :weird: I had a similar problem trying to run Riven: the Sequel to Myst in XP a while ago, but I fixed it somehow (I don't remember how, but I remember it took a long time to find out what the problem was).

Does it give you any error messages when it crashes?

They should both help in some way or another.

Nope, it just quickly disappears.

Bumping an old thread, but I've had the same problem. I'd love to play Hexplore again but it's just not possible. Anyone have any tips that could make it work?
peace

Oh my it really has been a long time... I've had this thread in mail memory apparently. I still haven't had any luck getting Hexplore to work (not that I've been actively searching)...
To give my comment credence, perhaps one of those CPU slowdown softwares might do the trick?
