So I was just wondering, Whay on earth would anyone in their right state of mind, buy a Honda Element or a Pontiac Aztec. They are both so FUGLY!!! They arn't even very good cars, there are better cars of similar type but much less ugly and better. So why? please andswer me this!

Probably because they want to show how they are "saving the environment." :rolleyes: Kinda like how everybody in California claims to be about conservation. Yeah right. In the case of the Prius, it's not about conservation but more likely it's about preservation of their liberalized Hollywood glam "I'm better than you" image. In the case of deforestation, California keeps its trees so companies can instead clear-cut in the massive spaces of Brazil. It might be preserving our trees in California, but thinking in terms of global impact, it's pretty darn selfish. Ideally, each area in the world with trees would contribute a portion so we could all enjoy the benefits of trees whilst enjoying their equally important uses besides carbon dioxide. I can tell you one thing: after visiting North Carolina this summer, I can certainly tell you that they can spare more than a few trees. California has even more. It's basically a case of the haves and the have nots. We have money. Brazil really doesn't. There's not much they can do to dull the shining allure of American dollars flowing into their economy when we come to clear cut.
