Dear TDU Fans,
I would like to thank each of you for purchasing and playing Test Drive® Unlimited during its first week on the shelves. We’ve been getting some extremely valuable feedback so far and have decided to create an official place for you to post your thoughts and suggestions… We appreciate your help in making this an exciting product for everyone and thank you in advance for helping us make the game even better over the next few months…
All the best,
Stephen Baer
US Sr. Brand Manager
I would also like to add that this forum will server as the official troubleshooting and tech support forum here for Test Drive Unlimited. So if you are have an issue with the game post here and maybe someone in the community will be able to assist you, if not the developers of the game themselves.

When Im playing TDU it dont fit all on my screen. Like I cant see what percent Im am and all that. I been looking every where for a screen adjust setting but cant find it. Where is it if there is one which there SHOULD be if not thats just dumb. I play on a regular TV using an official S-Video cable.
please add these as on and off options in future DLC:
Police, NO NEED for them in this game
Flying Derbry, WTF!? The point of this is to say hawaii is dirty?
i want to turn those on and off so if possible please make it happen.

Mattlab,
I was wondering if you could help me with a problem I am having with tdu. I am about to the point that I am going to take the game back to where I bought it and get my money back.
It seems like everytime I go to play the game, I get online, open the game up, leave my house and start the freeride, when I get knocked off of xbox live. It is only this game doing it. I have checked my nat settings and they are all open. I made sure that the proper ports are open on my modem, and also made sure that the dmz setting was set to the xbox so there would not be any problem with a firewall built into my modem that would keep me from playing the game.
It is really frustrating that this is the only game this happens to. PLEASE HELP, I BEG FOR YOU.

WHY NO RIGHT THUMB STICK FOR ACCELERATE OR BRAKE??
The current config is too clumsy, I don't want to pan the camera during the game I want to be able to control the amount of feathering on the accelerator and brake. Not button bash to get the desired result. Also the triggers even though analogue, they are just not as sensitive. It ruins a what should be a great game.

I agree with the Beaker! this is the one huge gripe I have with this game! everything else is mildly overcomeable (the bugs, the failure to find friends etc) but I wish, hope, and pray  that you give us loyal racing fans another controller option. Since the advent of analog controls (almost a decade ago) 98% of racing games had an option to control the throttle with a thumbstick, Gran Turismo being the forerunner. This set up gives you unprecedented throttle control especially over high-torque powerful dream-cars, in which TDU features a butt-load! Thanks for giving me a place to rant, and please listen to what we have to say: I have also heard this from COUNTLESS people online.

Everytime I take my sick ride to get it customized to a sicker ride in the performance tune shop, in the cinematic, it shows a huge wall of rims, a plethora if you will, where are these rims??? you only get 3 choices to upgrade your car (all of which are un-reversible if you believe your car was better to cruise, control, etc. before the upgrade) I am not talking about the customization level of Midnight Club DUB but gimme something here, update this lack of customization if you are going to list it as a selling point.... with that off my chest, I am eagerly awaiting this new update and look forward to some answer regarding the feeble customization options.

I found several glitches in one of the vehicle delivery missions where the vehicle I am driving gets damaged somehow. I know it isn't me, I repeated the mission several times and it happened in the same areas each time. I have perfect driving/delivery records for all of the delivery missions except for this one. I was especially careful so I could get the extra 'perfect bonus' but it still got damage.
The area is Wahiawa, the vehicle is a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing, the person who wants the delivery is Kevin, the course is a 10.8 mi. section with a $90k reward. The sections where the reward money indicator goes down are noted at 5 miles, 4.1 miles, 3 miles, 2.6 miles, and .9 miles remaining. The damage indicator does not go down though.
I also noticed that at 8.1 miles, 5.8 miles, 2.5 miles and .2 miles remaining on the mission, the radio control appears on the screen for a few seconds and then closes back up again. Strange! It's almost like I have someone remote controlling my radio controller when I am driving the mission.

I'm sure people have asked this before, but is there any chance that there will be an addition to the game allowing people to do multi-player racing via the system link - IE: multiple XBox 360's on a LAN??
Also, which steering/racing/driving wheels are or will be compatible with TDU? What do you recommend if multiple ones are available?

I'm guessing Eden Games is working on a TDU2?
I just bought TDU for the 360 a week ago, 12/06, and it's a great game overall. The interiors are really well done, giving the sense we're in the vehicle. The maps are enormous, and I enjoy the ability to explore the offroad.
I'm really glad there are motorcycles:up: , but if there is a TDU2, please improve the handling/steering, as once any bike goes over 40 mph, even a slight push of the analog and the rider leans over full tilt, which is really jarring, as real bikes don't react like that. It plays like the rider is drunk, not much fun. I keep it under 30 mph just to ride normally without the excessive tilting, which doesn't allow for subtle turning at high speeds, like Midnight Club 3's bikes, or even Driver: Parallel Lines' bikes.
Also, it would be really cool if we could actually control our character on foot, allowing them to part from the vehicles for some exploration at anytime. Then hop back in. This would make interaction with all the shops and stores more enjoyable, giving more control to the player, while making the clothing selections have more visual impact. Better yet, an on/off option for the ability to go on foot would be great. I'd like to walk through a city, the vast forests, roadsides, etc, knowing I could hop back on my bike or in my car when I reached it, allowing for "Go There" on the map in case it was too far to walk to in time.
The cars handle well, the map looks awesome, and the lighting is top notch. Nice selection of vehicles. Great job with Test Drive Unlimited! Except for the bike's steering...

A few things I would like to see in the next TD or maybe in an update:
1. The ability to walk around the interior of your house and property.
2. Chat sessions, where you could invite people to just hang out and chat at your home, and their avatars would be present inside your house.
3. Give the diners a chat/meet function also. One of the best things about all-night eateries is that car enthusiasts frequent them to relax and meet with other gear heads.
4. The ability to manage the radio's playlists, like turning off some music.
5. Zoom out function when trying on clothing so you can see what the entire ensemble looks like before you buy it.
6. More clothes/hairstyles/avatars
Great game btw, take a little bit more time on the next one though.

I have been playing TDU pretty much since it came out last fall and love the game. Back in February, my XBOX decided to melt down and I had to ship it off to Microsoft to get it repaired. They sent me out a replacement unit and just recently I got it back up and running. The first time I fired up TDU since the incident, I was prompted to download the new updates that were available for the game (or system, not sure which as it was the first game I tried) which I accepted.
Once TDU was launched, at first everything seemed fine, with it locating my previous saved games on the hard drive. However, I have noticed a couple of problems suddenly in the game which I did not have before. In several contexts (changing car before a race, scrolling through cars in a garage, etc.) I have noticed that TDU will show me the image of one car, and the stats of another. In once case, I went through the whole garage and 4 of the 7 cars shared the same description while they were all different cars? This seems to be especially prevelant on those cars which were downloaded from the XBOX Live Marketplace and were not part of the original game, but I have had the problem occurr with the standard cars as well.
The second problem I have encountered is that, periodically when in free driving or in a race, my car will forget that it is supposed to be an automatic and will not shift? I verify the control options and still I am left trying to scream around the island in 1st gear... I typically have to restart the game in order to resolve the issue.
Is there any way to "roll back" an update that has been applied, or is there a known fix to these issues that I can force a new update to address?
Any help would be much appreciated!

I just bought this game last week, and I really like the setup. I've been waiting for a game similar to this to come out for quite some time.
It looks like the overall game structure is there and is solid. The only thing needed is some polishing. Possibly improve the driving physics, smoothen out the roads a bit more, and so on. I hope there is a second title like this you guys are working on, because I'm already sold.
Nice work. Just one more tidbit... the downloadable demo on the marketplace for this game pretty much sucked. It didn't even come close to showcasing all the stuff you can do in the full version. Well, maybe close, but still a pretty boring situation.
Thanks for a great, currently unique game.
