Outstanding game - I'm having a lot of fun so far just exploring and taking the single player challenges. Racing per se is not important for me.

Given that, I'd like to see some more "laid back" vehicles made available for cruising the island. Cars are fairly well catered for, but bikes are oriented towards the superbike. The only bike I've bought so far is the Monster because it handles brilliantly and is refined for sightseeing.

A huge gap is also "classic" bikes - we have cars a plenty. I'd love to see:

Suzuki GT750 "Kettle"
Kawasaki Z1, H1 and H2
Honda Gold Wing and CBX
Moto Guzzi Le Mans 850
Laverda Jota
Honda CB400F and 750F(original)
Triumph Bonneville
Trail bikes like Yamaha XT500

I'm surprised how well the police element works. I hated it in the demo but it really adds to the game by discouraging pure carnage driving. It's a shame you can't enable response to "bad" driving or speeding (within reason).

While I'm in sad mode - how about implementing gas usage requiring you to fill up (and pay for it)? Might move people away from commuting in Saleens :-)

Can you please implement a way to switch off the engine? I'd suggest push down on left stick as that isn't used at present. Two reasons - the startup sounds are great and in a car its hard to get to the point of needing it once you've started. Also, it'd enhance the sitting around and watching all the other nutters.

Most of the above aside from gas should be straight forward content or patches to this version. For V2 please try to implement walking around?

Thanks again for a great game - normally hate spending money on them but this feels worth it.

Rgds

man, you're out of your mind. either that or you're a shill for atari.
this game sucks and that's all there is to it.
i'll lay it out in hits and misses

hits:
concept...great idea
scenery....gorgeous environment

misses:
controls....hey atari guys, every play forza? that's how a car should handle
bikes...hey atari guys, ever play motogp from thq? that's how a bike should handle

cops....2 or 3 star rating and you get a $50,000 ticket? yeah, whatever.
and you can't hide behind a house while they're looking for you to lose them?

ai...they can bash you all over the place but they're somehow stuck to
the road? awesome (not)

sound...hey atari guys, every play grand theft auto? that's how a radio should sound

weather/time of day....what, it never rains in hawaii? it's never dark?

i could go on and on, in fact i already have.
but suffice to say this game is a RENT at best.
only reason i own it is because blockbuster said i scratched
the copy i rented, so i had to buy them a replacement.

wished i never rented it in the first place.
maybe tdu rev2 will be FINISHED before you release it. hacks!

my question is, if you hate the game why would you bother signing up for the forum?

About car handling, first off they actually are making a simulation driving mode for the game which should be out near the end or begging of next month so the whole comment of ever played forza , well clearly they are trying to step up to the plate. Also the car handling right now is actually very good compared to most other games out there. It is much more realistic then pgr or nfs. Not quite up to the standard of forza but this is not a sim so why would it be? TDU is about crusing around in tons of different cars and enjoying hawwii while forza is just about racing. It does kinda make since why forza would have the edge. Maybe I should say hey forza ever played live for speed?

Question why is the grand theft auto radio so much better? if you don't like it make your own stations it gives you the option, heck if you wanted to you could import the entire gta radio into test drive so once again I don't see your point.

Hmmm I don't see how you never noticed but the game does have time of day.... It goes from sunrise to sunset. They were already pushing limits of having over 1000 miles of open road while 8 people at once could drive with you. I don't think they would waste there time making weather effects if later they would find out it would slow the console down or most peoples internet connectiosn couldn't handle it.

Well anyways I feel bad that you can't enjoy the game for what it is but don't go trolling on forums just because you don't like something.

Excellent points, Shaken. I do like GTA's music selection, but a lot of it has to do with my age - though EA has some sick cuts in the NFS series ...

shaken,
i took the time to post in this forum to voice my opinion.
this IS a feedback area of the forum...no?

so that's what i did, left feedback.
a couple of plusses, a few minuses and my opinion
so that PERHAPS if they come out with a sequel
they can fix what SOME people think are problems.

no harm, no foul...just feedback

okay i'm going to point out some bugs i noticed with the PC beta.

1. The traffic A.I. is kinda stupid. sometimes it seems they are aware of you, and other times, not so much. It took awhile for the traffic to run into each other. Though, i would say that it's nice to know that even in video games there are stupid drivers.

2. Why is the "190mph in traffic" worth less than the "180mph in downtown" and "180mph in heavy traffic"

3. after completing one of the vehicle transport missions, and veiwing the completion menu the car, driver and the other dude were all floating. The world disappeared and the car was floating higher than the people.

4. Sometimes during the cut scene after you buy a car, the drivers arm will disappear or in the case of the Pagani Zonda C12S the top of the car was missing.

5. The birds need fixed. They fly too close to the high freeways. I've actually hit a couple.

I think that's all i have for now. if i think of anything else i'll post it.

Even though the beta is over, here's the forum you should post your bugs to ... http://www.forumplanet.com/testdriveunlimitedbeta/
