I like to use the manual gearbox, but when I wreck in 6th gear, I find it very hard to switch to reverse quickly, back up, get back into first, then get going again in a short amount of time. This should be automated somehow. For example, mimick a "tiptronic" auto transmission, where it automatically drops gears when slowing down too much for the gear you're in. That way when you crash, it will go to first and will only be one click down to get into reverse. Also I wouldn't mind seeing neutral disabled alltogether.

Perhaps the way to address this is have three gearbox settings: Auto, Manual, and Semi-Auto (eg. Tiptronic).

I hate the reverse while in an automatic, its too hard to switch to it quickly compared to other games.

My Class D Benzo lights up the tires in first gear very easily without popping the clutch. All I have to do is floor it. In fact, I really have to be careful not to swing the back end out when I'm trying to recover from a crash and get back into a race. The neutral is not necessary to light em up.

With that said, probably getting rid of neutral is not the best idea. Perhaps they could put it on a different button. In any case, I just want it to be easier to get out of a crash quickly.

If you hold down the handbrake, it Puts you in neutral automaticly. If you really want to burn out, just slip into first gear, hold the X button, rev up and release.
