I have a RCA HDTV 46'' Big screen and a lot of my games display in HD just fine with no problems. Yet while in HD I CANNOT modify the screen size via remote control-it just wont do anything.
Yet like I said most of my games display fine, and in this case TDU does not. It cuts off a lot and I can barly see how fast im going when in a certain view. I cant even see what gear im in at all. I use the cockpit view a lot and would like to know if there is anything I can do to resize the games picture. There arnt much options in the pause menu so I am now coming here to post.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I have that same problem =( It's very annoying not to see what gear you are in when you are in drivers view. If I can figure something out I will PM you.

Thanks! I really want to get it in full view. When I hook it up to my plasma it works fine and its a beautiful picture, but my bigscreen is in my room where all my systems are hooked up and it gets cut off =\
I just played with just about every menu setting even relating to picture or the screen and nothing has worked.
Help?

Try changing the TV's view size, i.e. Full, Full Zoom, Standard, etc.

Common problem with HD TVs running video games. Unfortunately, there is no way to fix it on most models. Game developers need to add positioning adjustments for the HUDs on games. Then people could adjust them for their specific needs.
I have the same problem too. Sadly, I just have to deal with it.

If your HDTV set has a VGA connection, use that. It sucks that you have to by a VGA accessory cable but with this option, the X360 can allow you to choose from a larger number of output resolutions rather than the 720i/720p/1080i HD defaults.
For best results, you should select the output resolution to match your HDTV's native resolution.

Hold your horses. VGA port on an HDTV will look better then a 360 running at 1080i on monster component video cables? I can;t wait for my bro to finish his basement. He picked up a Panasonic DLP projector, Native 16:9 and 1080i so that should be sick. And if it counts for anything, I brought my 360 to my bro's house and played on his tv. He has a Sony 57" rear projection and I was playing Oblivion, Fight Night, and PGR3 all in highest res possible and I when I had this issue I just made sure the TV was on Full instead of Wide zoom and it looks perfect, then again it could just be TDU?

It could be just TDU but I've never had screen sizing/scaling issues on my LCD HDTV with any game.
I went to VGA because I can directly output to my HDTV's native resolution, bypassing its video scaler. This is more important for those of us who have LCD/DLP (fixed pixel/native resolution sets).
Haven't noticed any significant difference between 720p and 1080i. Actually, for fast action games, I prefer 720p. Also, it was a hot debate whether the X360's video system actually outputs in 1080i or whether it "cheats" and just upconverts 540p.

Yeah I'm using a new 60 inch JVC HD-ILA TV...everything I run off the TV shows fine, with no clipping on the sides, etc....but the bad thing is that I can't run the X-Box on 1080i without the same problem. I run my Xbox on 720p and I've been fine since. I rarely change the aspect ratio and TDU shows completely fine no matter what view I'm in....I don't know what to tell you bro.

I thought it was my tv I gues i'm not the only one with the problems. I can't see the last 3 digites of my total money amount. I guess it's not the tv.

I get the same issue with my widescreen CRT, although this seems to happen with a lot of 360 games. It's using overscan but too much overscan, I can't get all of the text on screen at one time.
The game needs a "move screen" option. A lot of PS2 games already feature this. In fact I'm suprised it's not a built-in dashboard feature!
