don't understand the tutorials

I'm really surprised, but don't understand them at all.

If I want to install new made scenary in my rct3, what shoud I do? step bij step, starting at the first? I thought downloading the object in the themes folder would be enough to make it work.

And is it possible to make a new theme in the folder so al my downloaded object can be placed as one theme?

I've read the tutorials talking about sid problems but I don't understand that tutorial at all, talking about left and right, what left and right? can someone help me to start then maybe the tutorials will get more clear to me.

first you download the file, it should be in a .zip ( or .rar ) right click it and hit " extract files " copy the folder and paste it into your C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3\Style\Themed folder and it should work.

Remember to unzip the file first. Usually I download them to my desktop, scan for viruses, and then open the zip or rar file. usually you'll see a folder with the name of the set on it.

Click on it to open it and check the contents. If there are two OVL files and another folder inside (which has the actual object files), you are set. Skip the next paragraph.

If there's ONLY another folder without any OVL files, then there's probably an extra folder. Click in the folder and see if there's the two ovl's and the folder of object files. If there are then you are set.

In either case you want a folder with TWO ovl files, and one or more other folders. That folder is the one that you place in you Style/Themed folder inside your game file.

I don't think so, custom object files can get pretty picky about their file names, I wouldn't change anything!

I'm not sure what the left and right part was about. I realize it IS hard to understand, but believe me, once you get it figured out you'll have few if any more problems! Let me know if this helped any...

how the *** do I find my downloaded objects It took me a while to find the one i tested it with, are the all places in the same place? between all the other stuff so hard to find if your are not that familiar with the rest?

It would depend on the location the author specified........what did you d/l?

They can be hard to find unless you know what you are looking for.

Also they only work in sandbox or new scenerios remember!

In fact they also work in the game scenarios but they have to be discovered first :)

I downloaded Disney Objets by lulujarre and they all end up invisible. I still can't find them in the game

Did you put them in the Style/Themed folder? If they're just in the Style folder, youneed to move them into the Themed folder & they should show up in the game.

i think all of lulujarre's scenary comes in an automatic installer, so all you should need to do is click on the file it comes with and it will install by itself.
