Blender modeling?

I have recently installed blender and am ready to make some some objects and animatronics. I have one fatal flaw though. I have no recognition on how to model and animate, I also would like to create some of the trigger objects (Like shark attack ect.) but I don't understand if there is a way. Is there any toutorials for modeling and such here? (BTW I've tried the toutorials at the main site but the link is broken...)

Go back to blender.org and download and work through as many tutorials as you can stand about how to model with it.
