View Full Version : Any update on exclusive content with preorder from Best Buy?

In another post on the official NWN2 forums, Gregg mentioned that Best Buy will soon be providing codes for the preorder content for customers who order online. Any more news about this? I just visited their website and it makes no mention of the exclusive content that is available with preorders.

Hell you can't even get it with a code bought from a actual Best Buy store so good luck to those who haven't even gotten a code yet...:mad: :mad: :mad:

Really? I visited two Best Buy stores yesterday and both of them had a ton of NWN2 preorder boxes on the shelf and on the back cover each of them mentioned the bonus content (early release of toolset and Merchant's Friend). I had just assumed that each of the boxes contained the code to access the content at the NWN2 official site. So why didn't I preorder one of these boxes? Because they didn't have any boxes for the limited edition and the salespeople couldn't reassure me that preordering one of these boxes would guarantee me a limited edition when they come in.

The code is inside the box, BUT it doesn't work. Well mine doesn't anyway.

After PM'ing Mr. Baker the info stated in the below thread I now have a valid code. Thanks again.

All the codes should work but we have found a very small number didnt. But as Archangel says, if you provide me witht eh details of the code I can get it working :)

As for Best Buy, I dont know the state of the online codes or when they will definately start offering them. Physical stores do have codes though.

You know, I'm not really that upset. But I just really want to know when this will get ressolved. I mean I just find it unfair that one of the stores you have a link for on your site are being completely incompetent. I don't necessarily blame you guys, but I really think the solution lies within you. Why can you not just send codes over to BestBuyOnline and resolve this issue for the already alienated customer community.

Please don't get me wrong guys, I'm an avid fan of Atari. From Jedi Outcast to KOTR to NWN, I have gained a large amount of respect for your company. But you should allocate more representatives and more resources to deal with this issue overall (not just pertaining to BestBuyOnline).

So, if I understand this post and your other posts on the official NWN2 website correctly, Best Buy will definitely be providing online codes, it is just a question of WHEN? Will these codes be available to customers retroactively, ie already preordered from Best Buy...can I then go back to them and get an online code? Lastly, as far as you know, are the preorder codes available to anyone who preorders the game, regardless if it is the limited edition or a regular edition?
