just adding to what DBZ: BT2 Fan said, they should make most of the sequences a little longer. i mean, the fights in the game are somewhat long (especially against opponents like Lord Slug and etc.), but when someone transforms, they should add the instant from the anime that shows them transforming.
another thing. if someone fires a special move at you, if you press a button, or a combination lie x+o, you can push it a different way. so technically this can be another struggle or somethin.
make some of the super attacks look bigger. like super kamehameha and final flash. they look just like a normal ki wave but with a diff. color or sparkly stuff.make them better lookin and bigger.
add the super spirit bomb. the one where goku uses against buu (or is that already in? i havnt really figured that out yet)
change the ways people charge up. all the character dont just bend over and look like they're takin a crap. jsut sayin they should add more variations cuz i hate lookin at somebody who looks constipated.
thats it for now. im running low on ideas too....

My suggestion for the next Dragon Ball game is to revert back to the original Budokai formula. Shin Budokai is really on to something with its aura burst mechanic, and I think it should be expanded on. Also, the combo system of B3/SB could be expanded, as well as the character roster.

just statin my opinion here...
i think that they should just stick to the original budokai fightin style for the psp cuz it doesn't require alot of button combinations and shin budokai suited the psp more that a home console cuz it was easy to pick up and play.

I agree most definitely with you SuperSaiyan1000. Although the transformations shouldn't take NEARLY as long as they did in the anime (meaning half or a whole episode... stupid stretched-ness).
I'd say the most important things to add in, in my opinion, which were said earlier in this thread would be:
Custom Character: Maybe not a complete must, but it'd make the red line on the sales chart for it go through the ceiling and hit some poor unsuspecting super saiyan, on his third trip around the world. After which he'd blow up the world in frustration (if it was Vegeta)....... Maybe it's not such a good idea :D :p
Online play: It speaks for itself. What we need is the ability to play with people we haven't met before.
Four Characters on field at once: Speaks for itself once again. This would be a great feature for online play, because everyone would get a full screen.
Bigger Battlefields: Why not? If it's on the PS3, then that'll be easy.
More Destructible Battlefields: As much so as possible. Even to the extent of blowing up earth/namek/whichever-other-place.
Sound Recording Mike: If you look at my detailed idea on page 12, then you will see that it suggests the ability to record your own speech, which your character will say when he uses one of his techniques (the ones you specified that is). You could also talk in the middle of a fight while online, through the mike, and be heard by the other online players (role playing your character during battle is suggested by me). There'd have to be some way to sensor swearing for younger generations though.... Perhaps with the PS3, you can program it to bleep out certain words when played to people using the "Kid: All foul language will be bleeped" option.
Improved Story Mode: Have it make more sense, meaning no beating up enemies into dust and then they act like it was the other way round.
More Attacks: Meaning give Vegeta the Destructo Disk, and Frieza a tail spike attack, as well as other things.
Area Damage: Meaning that when you blast someone with Gallic Gun, but they dodge by several inches, there will be an explsion as soon as it impacts the ground, causing area damage for the enemy.
Physics: Have a tree's leave blow off if you blast by it at full speed, and the water ripple as you transform. Other things as well.
That's all the main ones as far as I can think of. Although I also suggest Story Mode Maker: page 13. This would really get fans waiting in line over night if they knew you could make your own story of DBZ, with your own characters.

Yeah, go online PLAY!!!!!!! After a while, the games (coms, ultimate battle warriors, and story mode) get way too easy! The only competition is my bro, and he is really annoying anyway! Online will make it last a really long time with everyone training to beat other online players!

when the two players are close to eachother the split screen becomes rather redundent and unattractive.
i think taking a lesson for the SNES DBZ games would be good here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqy5jasd6ZY ) here we see the standard 2D fighting game, but when the players move so far apart that the screen cant desplay both of them the screen splits in two.
what i think would be good is:
-in close range there is only a single screen with a "side to side" view and controls that focus on melee
-when the players get far enough apart, after a few seconds the screen will split and the controls will change slightly to focus more on energy attacks and movement
Also: if your going to keep the number of characters this high then it would be good if there was a more obvious order to the list like a page for:
Saiyan
Half-Saiyan
Alien(including piccolo)
Majin
... and so on
Shaz/Vegeta

3: Create-a-character. You decide your race (saiyan, namek, human, android, frieza-race, other-alien [decide over looks], Shadow Dragons, Djinn [Majin Buu type]). Some would have to be bought (such as Shadow Dragons or Djinns). Then you decide your moves. Simple attacks (Kamehameha, Dodom-pa, Galick Gun) would start out as. Medium Attacks (Big Bang Attack, Tri-Beam, Instant Kamehameha) would have to be bought for low prices or found on the map). Strong Attacks (Spirit Bomb, Dragon Fist, Final Flash) would be rare buys (extremely expensive) or rare finds in map.
Yeah I like your ideas so far but I would like to add few things to this create-a-character system.Well I dont know about you guys but I'm a what if characters fan myself and I would like to create sayain forms of sayains like (bardock,Nappa,Radits,Future Trunks,Teen Goten,and so on so forth) so I hope they make an option where you can choose a character and make transformation of him.And as far as the attacks go you should be able to make your own move and be able to determan how powerful is it.:cool:

The most important addition is online play. If you could only add one thng, online play would be it. In fighting games players improve only from participating in human competition of varying intensity, it is the nature of fighting games. In this post arcade era, online is the last stronghold of the dwindling fighting game community. Fighting the computer is extremely boring, and story mode is done when it's done. That being said, make sure it's done right. Have an option for ranked and unranked battles, allowing certain things into unranked battles like fights with custom characters, leaving ranked modes more competitive and tourney like.
Incorperate more moves into the game, and make movelists more unique and varied. Pluck out more obscure moves from the anime, and add what-if moves if necessary. Don't worry too much about being "cannon", because GT and the movie characters aren't cannon technically anyway. Just try to stick to the spirit of the series, as was done in the films and and to a lesser extent GT. Make the characters more balanced, I don't care if the roster is 12 characters long or a 120, quality beats quantity. Please only add as many characters as you can give proper development time to. If you have a roster of 200 characters and only 10-20 are really good and the rest are really bad, then you have 180-190 characters that may as well not be there so please don't put more characters than you can handle. Like I said, quality beats quantity. I'd rather have characters I can enjoy playing as, instead of characters that I look at and say "Oh cool he's in the game" and then never play again because they either play too much like other better characters or are just flat out terrible. Deep and unique characters add real staying power to a fighter, shallow clones get swept under the rug and forgotten.
My dream is having a DBZ fighter deep and compelling enough to be taken seriously by the fighting game community, so that a large competitive scene arises out of its following. I think you folks at Spike and Atari have brought a game that is a real vision of what a DBZ game can be, it just needs some tweaks to make it truly amazing.

Yeah,Transformations of example,SSj4 Goku would only be able from Golden Oozaru.When you gather Ki,Rocks would fly etc.And I agree with that Oozaru thing too.Next thing to transformation.EX,Slug should be able to grow slowly,not just like other giants (should improve them too)Same like to power up and change form.And Piccolo should be able to grow like he did against Goku.Hair would come slowly,grow slowly bigger and bigger,and enemy Dizzy after transformation,because of amazed at the look and power.
Well I can't agree with you to 100%. Yeah for sure, Goku transformed first time into SSJ 4 from Golden Oozaru, but the other times he transformed from the normal form.

There have been fighters with rosters of 12-30 characters that have a lot more to them than 5 minutes of gameplay. My question for you is this, what's the point in playing a fighter that lacks depth and balance that has the same story as dozens of games made before it? At least with online play you will have a reason to continue playing it after you beat it, and if the game is deep and well balanced you can play it for years, not just the few days it takes to beat the same story mode yet again. That beats playing through the same story over and over again every time a new DBZ game comes out. If there is online play, would you rather have 200 worthless characters or 20 good ones to choose from? Do you want only one or two characters to be good enough to win with, so that you play the exact same guy over and over again? Or do you want to instead have a potential challenge from nearly any character? What's the point in unlocking a character if he bites? I don't mind a large cast, but if they bite off more than they can chew just to fit in 300+ characters as some have suggested on the internet then the game will suffer drastically for it. They just wouldn't have enough time to flesh them out, heck they probably wouldn't be able to even draw up enough unique models in time. And does anyone really want 200+ characters all with the same moves? Realistically they are going to have to sacrifice some characters for the sake of freeing up time to work on the ones they do put in.
Now if they just go ahead and make a very detailed character creation system people can just go ahead and make all the characters they want, saving a lot of time for the character designers to flesh out the characters they choose to work on. Some people think that might disrupt gameplay, but that's as easy to fix as dissallowing custom characters in ranked matches. They could still be used for casual online matches and between friends, and people would surely share designs on the internet. That would satisfy the gamer that just wants to play as his fav character, and the hardcore gamer who wants a detailed and in-depth roster. If the Character creation system was deep and intricate enough, you could make all sorts of obscure DB characters and moves. It would be nice for a change to have a C.A.C system as detailed as firepros. IF you think about it, this method makes a lot of fans happy because the developers don't have to choose between which obscure characters they want in the game, they can give you the ability to stick them in there or just create your own unique creation. There are plenty of creative DBZ fans out there, so I think it actually fits the scene perfectly. Personally, I know some amateur artists who are DBZ fans who would love the chance to put their fanfic creations into the game. I could see this appealing to the current demographic, and even intriguing and reaching new gamers as well. Try to imagine all the what-ifs you could make with a deep enough system. The beautiful thing is it's been done well in other games before, so it's very possible.
I know as a DBZ game, that the flavor is very important to a lot of gamers. However, this is a fighting game and it needs to stay loyal to that niche group as well. The fighting game crowd is very particular about what it plays, and despite how it has received DBZ games in the past if a competitive DBZ game with online play hits the market they WILL eat it up. The fighting game crowd is desperate for some new blood to shake things up, and I hope that someday DBZ will make it there. I wanna see a DBZ game played at EVO, ya hear me Spike/Atari? Make me proud guys, I know you can.

oh yeh...ur missing many GT characters...like the baby forms and rilldo. Aside from the baby forms...teen goten!

ssj2 gohan teen should have super movement...but i guess atari has to restrict him since he can power up to the very limit. bogus!
reaching max power should increase the attack points
the ki blasts are too weak...there should be an even bigger form of a ki blasts. One the can be teleported. Like a mini blast 2 move or something
more aerial attacks, more punishing attacks, more liberty with high speed movement....why does guldo have the coolest punch-clashing sound? when a character begins to power up...and when they transform...do the screen shake u have in the story mode...cutscenes...less of them!
face it...in dbz..there will always only be at most a dozen or 2 of characters seeing gameplay and it's needless to say...equip is for both people so there will always be characters with disadvantages
each character needs more moves...i dont know if the reviews are soley based on the button sequence for a move execution is generally the same, but it sure seems like it and they're bashing dbz unlike smash bros
regenerative abilities should not be equipped..they should be natural. the eternal life is still a great item though. It should increase a little faster or something.
something that would be good is to gather ki...and store some of it like in a spirit bomb...and power up my ki again. goku's blast 1 is fine for goku's spirit bomb...but yeh..what if moves sound great right about now

character selection but each one has to be unique in their own way.
The ability to create your own character is endless. I also agreed with
what you said here:

It is important that all characters should have the ability to grab your
opponent in whatever way you can & have the free option to either swing

even stamp on them. (Like I said on a previous page). This way you are giving
characters the ability to create & do other things instead of limiting them to
just a few swings or grabs and punches.

I could not agree more with this point. It get's too dull when you are limited
to only what 5, or 6 moves and some of them are OK, but not that great.
It needs to be far deeper than that.
You two have raised good issues relating to the next upcoming generation
DB Game. I hope this is taken seriously into consideration for the near future.

oh yeh, u know how cell perfect form hits super vegeta...it's like a punishing attack but charged...man that would be awesome...punishing dragon heavy.

Hey, did you all see my 1st Page? What I did since Februaury 2006 to date
was to start detailing every single character that has been in the DB, DBZ
(mostly), & DBGT Anime & listed down all of their transformations as well as
their moves that they have used. Some of their transformations & moves were
never used in the Anime at all & I felt that it was proper to bring this alight
not just for the Fans but for the Developers to see what is missing. So many
wishes are listed down & yet there is still a great deal missing. So to
get your ideas just go through the search engine, list down DBZ, & find out
from the websites their moves, transformations, etc. It would be also
helpful if you go & watch the Series & Movies again to see what else needs
inputting.
This is what I did, so it's just a tip for those who are putting down your
ideas.

More costumes - anyone in print or animation of all the series, no matter how miniscule or useless (If teen gohan doesn't have his cape or turtle outfit, so help me)
More special moves - if possible or give us a way to choose a bunch of different (don't make us collect potaras to get these) blasts we take to battle
More stages - anything in print or animation of all the series
Bigger Stages
More secondary actions like ripped clothes
All secrets should be unlocked when we beat the game once in the main mode.
Story mode is fine right now a more cinematic approach to cutscenes would be appreciated but just some more awesome cutscene fights would be nice.

by the way, I missed the first budokai tenkaichi but I love how this game, in a way, is like a suped up version of the sega saturn and playstation dragonball z game Idainaru Dragon Ball Densetsu. I loved that game to death and this just brings back so many cool memories of comboing and knocking up and down and all around

When you play through story,not anything more.Only for fun modes.
Should be more modes to unlock things.Level up from B3.
Like story through,after that lots of other modes that needs to be unlocked,and some mini-games that unlock stuff.And more capsules so it takes time to paly it through to 100%.

I'm with you Majin Trunks. Although it pissed me off to go back through every person's story mode in B3 to get characters and stuff, it was fun and made the game last longer. Also, I think online play is a huge deal, and should be the main point of the next game. What I don't agree with is kyu915, when he said "More characters - anyone in print or animation of all the series, funny or serious" (I don't know how to quote messages :)) I do agree with him saying to add all alternate costumes, but only serious characters (No bulma, Pilaf, or farmer w/ shotgun. Chi-chi, Kami, Ox-king, Popo, and General Blue should be in because they are all martial artists). I would also add more DB characters and more DBGT characters, along with a bigger storymode for each. They are all important. (And make Kid Goku be able to fly in battle with Nimbus! He's my fave character but in BT2 he can't fly so he sucks!)
Oh, and by the way, make the clothes rip more from battle damage, and make the characters limp and look hurt more (limping, gripping arms, huffing, like sighing, gasping for air, and make it sure you can see if he's sweating or bleading!)

i've been reading these pages for a few weeks, and i've come to think that i might add my suggestion as well..
in my opinion, it would be a must to add an option to switch on/off damage.. to make something like a more-players-training..
training is a very good thing, but it's pretty boring not being able to fight a friend without having one of you lose..
i mean.. it would be great if you could also just fight and fight with no limit of health..
the eternal life potara is pretty useless in bt2, as it restores health way more slowly than how you can ever lose it..
as for the rest, i totally agree when you say that unlockables shouldn't be unlocked just from story mode, and when you speak about creating your own characters instead of having programmers make the choice..
as it has been said, ps3 can easily handle far more than this, so i think we have the right to expect a lot..
as for two player game, i think that the idea of two screens while fighting from afar and just one when fighting close isn't so bad, but i'd be very careful about it... i've hated side-to-side engine for dragon ball games in the past.. it's completely out of db's spirit, while from-the-back-side is way closer..
but i think it would be great as well if they allowed up to 4 people to play together even offline, and so the idea of a non-split screen is preferable..
no doubts on online playing, it's just a must

i don't remember if it was here, but i read about something like a "fuse two characters" thing, something like "25% burter, 75% crilin".. apart from the example itself, that would be nice too.. to buy -somewhere not very easy, and for a high price, so it's more challenging to get it- a pair of potaras to fuse two characters in order to get a new one.. so fans of gokule [not me XD] could get him without the staff having to put it inside.. same topic from the "c.a.c. so you can create obscure chars by yourself" thing..
for example, i would have really preferred not seeing sauzer and kiwi, but teen goten instead.. if you were allowed to create them, programmers could just put less characters and work more on them..
for example, you would expect goku to be one of the strongest and coolest chars, while without a halo it's almost hard to freely play as him, not to mention that chars such as kiwi and saibaiman [not to mention all kinds of vegeta] are far more powerful than him..
ah, and more costumes, damn it.. i don't agree with the choice to put 2 tore costumes for goku, one for teen gohan.. while for example they don't have the saiyajin armor, goku doesn't have his end-of-z or gt costume, and gohan doesn't have the piccolo-white-thing-sorry-i'm-not-english XDD.. kid gohan could have the red cloth too...
and, i know it's not very easy to create costumes if they're not a lot, but i can't stand goten's yellow costume anymore T_T .. it has been there for years, in every db game, and i don't recall him ever wearing it..
and lastly [omg how much am i writing O.O.. i don't want to look like i don't like the last title.. on the opposite, i love both bt and bt2 a lot, i'm just thinking about how to make them even better], why are there 3 vegeta's and just one goku T_T? goku has changed a lot through the series as well as vegeta, not just from being a kid to growing up and stop...

I've said it b4, but we need more "final galick gun" type moves. Thats the move vegeta scouter does to zarbon in the episode and has in Tenkaichi 2. Trunks blowing up 18 would be nice. Hey...we need that Trunks as a character while we're at it. Trunks no sword but still has the costume which is on the cover. This game needs cutscenes like DBZ Sagas...The actual episode clips. We don't get to see much cool stuff in Tenkaichi 1 or 2. The story mode is bad. Only things worth watching are like Kid Buu dying and Goku transforming ssj against frieza and history of trunks. Even so...those transformations are not enough. The fighting should be more like the stuff you guys have in the intro. And keep the old stuff. Another good fighting clip is vegeta vs 18...well it's not that great, but it wuz the 1st couple times. Now I'm just annoyed when I think of puppets.

yes, they're better than the 8 or even 4 you can have in other games, and a lot of people will never complete them all.. but in a regular family where there are three healthy teens, or where parents or coinhabitating relatives play together, you easily imagine how fastly 10 slots can be occupied:cool:

no, i don't have a ps3.. it surely won't be out here before march 2007, and i'm not sure about after that date.. but i definately think that the reason because of which we have a limited number of slots is linked with the memory card.. and since ps3 doesn't use m.c.'s, i think this is another of the limits that will fall..

i mean.. they should for example make your char's shirt dirty at 80% health, a bit tore at 70%, more tore at 60%, with holes in it at 50%, then bruises at 40%, and so on... that's just an example, of course, to show how it could be done.. this way you could tell how badly you've been beaten even without the gauges.. it'll be an approximate value of course, but in my opinion gauges are only needed when your health is low and you don't want to die abruptly, but it wouldn't be so difficult to get used to gauges' lacking..

The game most definitely needs more what if transformations so I’ve come up with a few. Freiza should have a final form like cooler. He should revert back to his third form but maintain his armored look from his fourth form, his shoulder pads should increase in size as should his spikes on his back, also he should grow spikes on his elbows, he should get a mouth cover like cooler and a shield on his head as cooler did and in my opinion it should resemble the council elites' head shields off of halo 2(these guys are seen toward the last levels of the game, they must be released from cells and a while later you protect the scarab).
Bardock died and most likely was sent to HFIL, so there he must have trained and he should have reached a greater power level. I believe Bardock should be the first to be an ascendant super sayian three. He would go to ssj 3 then buff up like vegeta and then he could do it again like trunks but losing his speed in the process. This puts him at a greater power level than an ssj3 but weaker than an ssj4, which is well balanced.
Since Broly was defeated and went to HFIL too, you'd think he would've trained or at least gotten stronger. His power level keeps rising... He also was a saiyan so he should be able to transform into an ape just like every other sayian. So his powers should be around at least SSJ3 or SSJ4.
I also believe anybody can have a max power transformation, an eternal life transformation (garlic Jr), and a majin transformation. Just for the mere fact that master roshi can go buff and he is weak so other humans should be able to, bojack also possess this transformation, anybody can do the eternal life transformation because it can be wished for, and the majin can be done by anybody because babidi can cast a spell on you. At least the characters that demonstrated that they have a power-weighted form should have them.
I believe yamcha should get the max power but to a restricted level to maintain his speed and give him a super spirit ball. Krillin should do it as well for he is human. Cooler (100% full power in final form). Piccolo has demonstrated that he can do it as well. Goku USSJ (hyperbolic time chamber), Cell power-weighted (against SSJ2 gohan), super kid buu, and Super 17(buff).
What would’ve happened if some people did get eternal life, and that eternal life gave them an extra transformation. Like Vegeta, Zarbon, and Frieza. They had a chance to have eternal life but it escaped them so easily. So if Vegeta did get eternal life then his power level would increase dramatically and his body size massively increases while his speed is maintained. Zarbon would just be able to stay in his normal state while his power level increases and his body size increases like his post transformation. His speed also stays the same. If Frieza never trained in HFIL then this could’ve triggered the transformation like I mentioned in my first statement, and if you want to get technical you could add a size increase to the new form.
Here are some of my what-if fusion ideas. The fusion of Broly and cooler, they’d have the mass and might of Broly and the pure aggression of cooler would suit for a most impressive fusion. This could happen for they share a great hatred for goku. What if Majin buu absorbed Super Vegito (if goku and vegeta didn’t split). Adult trunks and adult goten to get adult gotenks. King cold and final form cooler. An ssj3 Goku and mystic Gohan (unlimited power of gohan and raw power of goku) you could also do something funky with the hair like have the hair decrease in size and have it return to black and their body would be surrounded by the lighting aura of ssj3. The androids 18 and 17 fuse instead of two 17’s. Another big what if is if android 16 could have been absorbed by cell thus creating a new cell altered in every form. An USSJ vegeta and USSJ trunks fusion. King vegeta who was most likely in HFIL fusing with his son vegeta to make a fatherly son combination.
Next are the random or new ideas for transformations that may have never happened, and new characters. The first three forms of cooler. All the forms of general rildo. Anyone that is a saiyan has the ability to go super sayian. Nova and ice shenrons with transformations. Dr. Wheelo. King cold and king vegeta. The Henchmen and squads of Turles, Bardock, Cooler, Bojack, Dr. Wheelo’, both of Garlic Jr’s, lord slug, and babidi’s (puipui and yakon). Jeice could have something similar to zarbon because he is just as compassionate about his looks. So jeice could have a monster form where he loses all rationality and because of this he does not undergo this transformation in the series. The time tien uses four arms. Burter would have large fangs, he’d grow in mass, but only enough so his speed would increase, his body is twisted and transformed and by doing so his head lengthens in size and his claws become unbreakable and his humanoid shape is distorted. The time required for this transformation is so massive it is impracticable so he does not undergo it.
Now here is a move set for some the characters. Mecha Freiza needs the death ball he uses on trunks. Captain Ginyu needs his old body change back. The dead zone must be altered. Turles, Dabura, janemba, trunks, pan, android 18, android 16, ssj and ssj3 goku’s finishers, and cui all have rushes where when they finish them or during it they don’t show the character receiving an attack or attacks instead it shows the person giving it and this disappoints me. That’s all I can think of as of now…

But i was very happy with the game lots to do and lots to play with. Me and my brother always have a hard time choosing who to fight with. I love the tag battle and team battles and the different costumes and everything.

1) the "create a character" feature is extremly misleading, its just an inventory system that you can get summed up into a password to easily shair online. when most people hear create a character they think something like making an entirely new character from the ground up, defineing how he looks and what not
2)there should be a butten you can hold down to skip by all the confirmations; "would you like to save your game?" "would you like to overwrite the old saved game" "this item will remove other items associated with it" "this item will loose its xp are you sure you want to remove it?"... just give us a butten to hold down and auto "yes" our way through the menus please
3) no long dialog in the game mode selections, its realy annoying to have to skip through several peices of dialog to actualy get to choose what saga you want to play then you have to skip by goku telling you to set the difficulty, then you actualy set the difficulty, if you are in too much of a hury you might inadverntly select level 2 even though you might have wanted to play level 1 or 3. i would like to restate what i wanted earlier, an option to shut off the menu reading, an option that is spereate form "voices"!

not to mention that this way you could edit your chars very easily.. if you change your mind about his costume, or if you want to create a ssj5 -fusion-between-goku-and-gohan..

I want a create-a-character mode! I wanna add my what-if character son goshen, goten and bra's son. he is taken (by Trunks) to Planet New Vegeta when earth is blown up by Frieza, Cooler, and King Cold's Superior Ice. Trunks trains him, and the new saiyans battle Ice and his army. When The saiyans, lose, Trunks knocks out Goshen and sends him to the newly constructed earth, inhabited by 1000000 people. He meets an old man who builds him a time machine, and he goes to earth before Ice blew it up, and trains the people to take down Ice. he uses Trunks' sword, and has a scar over his right eye. His main move is the Kaiyo Slicer, he makes two fingers and a thumb, creates energy between the two fingers, and throws it forward in the form of 1 to 8 slices. You decide how many, but however many you do takes more chi. He also uses the Galactic Kamehameha, where he raises both hands, gains energy like the spirit bomb, powers up a white kamehameha, hits the opponent with a sparking kiai (like Kaio-shin did, with his head and mind, to stun the opponent, like mystic breath), and fires the Galactic Kamehameha while the enemy is still stunned. Cool, huh?! :)
Yes I know it sounds like Future Trunks' Storyline, but hey, it was still cool, better even!

it's good to have your own character and storyline.. as for myself, it'd be a saiyajin arriving at the same time as future trunks, in order to help goku and gohan reach the ssj2 level and take both 17 and 18 out of cell.. using the instant transmission instead and earlier than goku so to come back before the explosion, and to be three ssj2 against cell.. this way goku would never die and bla bla.. it's surely so boring XDDD it's just a dream i've had recently [yes, i use to have weird dreams]
i think that the "race" value shouldn't just affect your look, but give you some particular features.. just like if you're a girl you'll be a bit faster but a bit weaker than a same-than-you-level guy, if you're a saiyajin you could become stronger as your life gets lower, and get experience even if you lose a fight [that would be very close to the real dbz.. detekoi tobikiri zenkai power!].. while if you're a namek, you would automatically have the ability to grow bigger if you want, or to make your limbs longer at will, who knows...
and it would be good to add a few joint moves a character.. expecially to balance the chars who don't have a transformation.. this way:
you're crilin.. you can't transformate in anything [even if it wouldn't be so bad if characters who can't transform could power-up just the same.. for example, crilin could have his power enchanched by the elder namek].. but if you're fighting with gohan as a tag team, you could use a certain combo as they did on namek.. if you're fighting with tenshinhan the move will make you use the solar flare [which is definately useless alone.. not to mention it takes a lot of time to be done...] while tien uses his kikoho..
this idea could be added if more-than-1 vs more-than-1 battles can't be easily arranged by the programmers.. or in addition to it, of course.. expecially if your teammates are controlled by the cpu..
of course it's very generic.. it's kinda ghostly, but i'm not an expert XDDD i'd just like to do as much as i can to point out some ideas that might be a nice addition to the engine

I tried to read the other posts first, but I am very tired right now, so forgive me if I post something written above.
I'd like it if when the characters are on the ground that they could actually walk/run and not just float. I agree that the weak characters shouldn't be stupidly added into the story with useless fights (Survive Until Time Runs Out - Hercule Vs. Kid Buu, GRRRRR!), but I'd still like them to be in the game for use in Vs. Mode for fun, and when two friends are playing at least have an option to have equal strength. If I like Vegito and my friend likes Piccolo, I want it to be a fair fight and not be so powerful that I kill him in two hits, I mean I get that it would be that way in the anime, but it would make for a quick and boring fight with a friend.
I tried to find a post I made last year about searching for Dragonballs in T2 (I think), but I can't find it, maybe this will make into T3. Short version: Make it so you really have to find them. Get the rader, trace the signal, really have to look in the mountains, deep huge caves, bushes, trees, forests, underwater, dig for them, fight monsters or people who don't want give them up, use them and then have them scatter across the globe to truely random places and do it all over again.
Read the above quote before you read my post, 'cause I fell the same way. I have a ton of ideas that may or may not have been posted, and I can only remember them for so long, so here goes:

And I'd like a MMORPG like mode where I can go where I want and won't know who we're fighting 'till we get there ('cause the opponent & match type will be all random).
I do agree with the idea of a much larger battlefield. I HATE BEING RESTRICTED!!!!!!! And I like the idea of the training at 10-100x normal gravity during story mode. And also the idea of wear & tear a fighter takes during a long greuling fight. Shredded clothes, cuts, scratches & bleeding at certain places.
They should make it easier for you to teleport out of danger, like the AI does in BT1. Imagine being in a battle that has lasted literally for days 'cause both fighters would keep missing their punches, kicks, and blast moves. Why? 'Cause of easier teleporting.
I'd like to see a more detailed story mode like the cut-scenes in Budokai 1. And like I said before, longer battles. That should give you a greater fell of actually being in the anime.

I like your ideas friend. Glad to know that others want a bigger environment to
fight & explore in besides always being restricted to a particular limited area.
I am not sure about those voice actors from the Ocean Group. It will be FUNimation who will be dubbing all the Dragonball Games.
That point is quite interesting, but we would want to get a vague idea who
exactly we are up against instead of just getting there & finding out your
opponent is. But that I guess is the excitement of the Dragonball World:
challenging expectations & higher goals to reach.
Like I said above, I am glad you like the idea of not being limited to a
particular space but to fly around instead. The training to build up your
character to make them as strong as they were before as well as a damaging
rate to all warriors should be a must.
Agree with this as well, as this should be able to teleport even when you
are too close to your opponents attacks should they try to attack with a
powerful attack & you want to teleport out of the way or send it back with
your own move.
The detailed cut scenes for the Storymode I also agree with 100%. This way
it lets those who have never seen the Anime before get a glimpse of what
the Game & Anime is all about. And they should be far better looking,
graphically & efficiently.
No one should slain you for putting your own views forward on how to
improve on the next Game. Keep it up!;) :up:

I think all of the arenas that you can go and check out in tenkaichi 2's story mode such as Hercule City and Grandpa Gohan's house should be areas you can actually fight in during gameplay instead of making them just for the story mode. They should keep the areas they have now but add to them. Then add in some new areas like Jameba's world, the outdoor Tournament stage from the Bojack movie,The Machine place where Goku fought General Rildo, The Tuffle Planet, King Kai's planet, The Other World Tournament Stage, The camp site from Cooler's Revenge, (maybe add in the large waterfall area where goku began fighting Cooler in Cooler's Revenge as well) and for Korin's tower you fight at the village under Korin's tower but you can go to Korin's tower itself in story mode. Also they should have intact versions of each of the citys and destroyed versions. For example if you choose Central City and then blow it up you get the Ruined city in the present Tenkaichi. When you smash your enemy with a charged melee attack in to the ground or a mountain it should always leave a crater.
During story mode you should be able to go to any of the areas you want to even if there isn't a event happening there and if you go to a city you should see cars moving and people walking around. A Dragonball Sage should also be added.
The most important characters I think should be added are:
Evil King Piccolo
Assistant Black in robot armor (for blast 2 attacks he could shoot missiles from his left arm. Any number of them from 2 - 4 of them and a laser in the other and his Ultimate blast attack could be a large rocket shot from his back)
General Blue (maybe)
The ninja Goku fought at Muscle tower (maybe)
Androids 13 and 14
Super Saiyan Broly (as a alternate costume with the mark on his chest from the first movie )
The Spice boys that survived long enought to get a power up from the Makyo Star
Bojack's henchman that Trucks toke out and the tall one that Gohan defeated
GT Goku (with super saiyan, Great Golden Monkey, and SSJ 4 transformation)
Nova Shenron (could make a what if Nova beat Omega Shenron)

I hope noone said what im gonna say before me i apologize if im copying them. I like all these cool ideas and I especially think that there should be more in the dragon ball gt and dragon ball parts of the game. THere should be "special" ultimate moves due to some sort of special character match upand tag combination, here's an example: If ssj2 teen gohan is tagged with goku at super saiyan and goku is beaten then gohan could get the option of using a special ultimate move against super perfect cell if cell beat goku like the story, a one armed father son kamehame wave would be ideal. These special moves should be unlocked and have some sort of story element like i said with goku being beaten. The special ultimate move should require some sort of showdown between p1 and p2 like the rotating analog stick thing in BT2 but maybe something more complex or different like in budokai 3, this is because i think that these "special" moves should be extreeeeeeemely powerful.

This is a list of some possibilities of "special" ultimates KO in front will mean it is a 1 hit KO if attacker wins duel:
KO Goku and Piccolo Tag battle against Raditz, ultra special beam cannon, kills goku and Raditz, piccolo loses duel then piccolo misses with attack and goku is damaged
Goku and Krillin Tag against frieza, spirit bomb that leavs 1 health left, gets krillin killed, and turns goku super saiyan, if goku loses duel then spirit bomb does less, krillin still dies and no super saiyan
KO Goku against Vegeta Nappa tag, goku uses ultimate kayoken on nappa then vegeta gets mad at nappa and kills him, if goku loses the special duel thing i mentioned earlier then instead of vegeta killing nappa he can just attack goku
KO super saiyan goku against frieza, death saucer dodging wich cuts frieza in half then some sort of angry blast that kills frieza if goku loses duel then saucers hit goku and do 3/4 of a stock damage

I don't mind your ideas but I think they should leave Puar out of the game except for the cut-scene idea I posted earlier. I like Popo but I don't think he's a fighter so he shouldn't be playable either. And I don't know about Goku Jr. and Vegita Jr.; maybe put them in an original Dragonball story (Dragonball EX, or Dragonball NG for example). I do like the idea of putting King Cold in the game (I forgot him, oops :(). I think Kami should be in the game as well.

I'm new to this thread, i read most of the comments about a future tenkaichi game and i think your ideas are great i have a few of my own.
1. Goku should be able to use the original spirit bomb (saiyan saga)
2. choice of SS transformation during super spirit bomb
3.Adult Gt goku, he should have all his forms ss1, ss2, ss3, oozaro, ss4 he should be twice as strong,fast, and powerful then goku from dbz an he should use less energy to do his moves. But the only way to unlock him is by having all the characters beating story mode, then like someone said you should be able to find black star dragonballs in the gt story mode and he will appear as a wish.
4. They should put in uss trunks from episode 144 of dbz ,( i believe thats the episode) the one where he fights 2nd form cell.
Oh yeah, there should be a show of difference in ability when your transform, you do get stronger put i don't see the speed difference so much so instead of dash when your ss2 you should teleport to the opponent. and transformations should be longer, you should have the choice in a cut scene or not by holding R3 for a longer dramatic cutscene or tap it for a short strategic offense move like in B3 ( when you transform you push you opponent back and you break there guard similar to when you go in to max charge mode)

I'd really like to see Future Gohan in BT3. He is my favorite character. Of course, his only forms would be non-ssj and ssj. I would prefer that he had both arms, but they can have him with one arm for the alternate costume.
It would also be nice to see more GT characters, like GT Goten, GT Vegeta, GT Trunks and GT Gohan.

I hope the developers get a chance to look at this thread, since there are a lot of good ideas that could be added to a future version of BT3.
Here’s a list of ideas that would make the game perfect for me:
Gameplay
-Bring back the dodging and fatigue mode from budokai 3 (improve it).
-BT2 was a good start for a more in depth fighting system. I’d like to see it improved even further.
-Should be able to engage on struggles such as ball vs beam and vice versa.
-Power of blasts and ultimates should be revised. For example: Frieza’s deathbeam going through my x3 charged spirit bomb. OMG wtf HAX!
-Beam struggles should last longer.
-Characters should be able to lower transformations, not just revert to base.
-Add retry option in story mode -_-….
-Add fusion timer as an option.
-Extra Game Options such as:
Initial Health, Initial Energy, Handicap, Etc
-Option to run the game faster would be sweet.
-Option to change the games beam struggles from Rotate, to mash, ETC.
Stats & Attributes
Make attributes more balanced. Seems “somewhat” pointless to level up speed, ki and blast1 compared to their counterparts.Raising speed should increase melee and dodging ability (not only dash), Ki (less energy to execute moves and charging speed is notable), Blast1 (blast gauge fills faster and blast moves use 1 blast less when maxed out).
Characters/Moveset
-Add GT Kid Goku, Nova Shenron.
-Giant Characters should be a little bigger.
-I was quite pleased with the roster of T2, but was a little dissapointed with the moveset of several characters. For example: Vegito should have spirit cannon (could be as simple as giving him Final Impact) and final kamehameha.
-Characters should have their own unique moves. If duplicating moves is necessary, give those moves to side characters not main ones such as ssj2 gohan (I’m refering to the teleport rush move that almost every other character has).
-Omega Shenron should be a little faster (He's the last villiain of DBZ!). Not too combo friendly.
Animations:
-Actual explosions when blasts collide.
-Better Cinematics for Blasts and Ultimates that look closer to actual.
Example:
Vegetas Big Bang Attack (too small and shiny)
SSJ4 Gogeta Big Bang Kamehameha (supposed to form a ball)
Stages/Environment
-Add Janemba’s Hell stage, Innards of Buu.
-I will not exaggerate and say I want the stage 10x bigger but 2-3 times current size would sound reasonable.
-Make environments more destructible and improve the physics in them. Ground should have several layers allowing craters to be created from huge falls and strong blasts. Character could punched into/through a mountain according to the charge meter. Everything except ground should be destroyable.
Features
-If supported, custom soundtracks would be nice.
-Online Support
-Support of 4 players on screen at once.

-Please try to do a better job translating & proofreading the items descriptions

Thanks for the welcome,:D you know what else they should bring back breakthrough capsule or potara, which ever. It should be similar to title tenkaichi, instead of adding 4 to each section it should put all you abilities at maximum. With this i would be able to play with goku at maximum plus halo added on, max power plus, and all the useful potaras i need to be a stronger character.

1: screw that get rid of the current "rub your skin off" struggle system compleatly, id rather see something along the lines of the dragon rush from budokai 3, then what there is currently.
2 there was a game called Red Faction (an FPS) that actualy had a terrain destruction gimik in it, just plant a bomb on the floor anywhere and there was a crater exactly where you put the bomb. the game is fairly old too.

the controls would have to under go a major overhall if what your suggesting is something similar to Grand Theft Auto, minus stealing cars and stuff of corse, but it can be done. aside from flight controls, which can be made to work similarly as they do in BT2 a targeting system would have to be made where a bullet time like effect will occure untill you find a target to lock on to, once you knock them back aways targeting will automatically turn off or switch to the nearest enemy so you dont have 3 people ganging up on you while you try to deal with the one

I've wanted a storyline that changes depending on if you win or lose for AGES. That is a very important edition to DBZ Tenkaichi3 (they had it in a Snes game of DBZ, so why not this?). And if they don't have that, they better have LOTS of What-Ifs (like from fifteen to thirty). Also, if they don't have Story Maker Mode, then they have to make a storyline for EVERY character, some much longer than other characters' story lines.

Sounds like a pretty interesting idea.... In fact, it sounds pretty good, although they better not just make it like a slightly longer and fancier Dragon Ball Z Sagas, it was good, but not so good as to play it more that once. They have to keep the Tenkaichi 2 fighting sytem (with an awful lot of improvements worked out from the suggestions on this thread) though, it is the heart and soul of Dragon Ball Z (or will be, with a lot of work).
But if they can manage all that, then I must say that a Fable style DBZ game would be pretty good...

And u could hav a separate 'thing' on the ps3 (as a separate application that comes with BT3) that would help u create-a-character more in-depth, giving u a 3-d viewing, u pick clothes, race, create attacks, facial expressions, a microphone to record ur own sayings, but u could put ur sayings in another voice (vegeta's, goku's, goten, trunks etc) and do stuff like dat.
And cuz the ps3 uses blue ray, it will have more space, so storymode should REALLY be 50-60 hours, with like 10-20 what-ifs, and side missions, like LOG2, with the golden capsules, or finding 7 nameks, so u could always go to namek. it should be rpg-like, and u hav 2 earn the ability to pick where u want 2 go through storymode (meaning pick which saga). At the end, u should be able to go anywhere as anyone, and walk around real cities, and talk 2 every1. Also, more and better wishes on d-balls.
More characters, like 100-200 formless characters, 200-300 characters with forms. That would be good. and like warhawk or resistance, fall of man, u should be able to buy stuff on sony's online system, like new characters, stages, or other stuff. That would be good!

Add Kami and Nail to the character roster and during tag batte or free battle they can fuse by pressing R3 <- for fusing with Nail and R3 -> Kami.I can't belive I've never thought of this.!:)

No, he does not necessarily have to fight. He can just simply appear to
Piccolo or Piccolo can just appear to him & they do the Fusion together. But
if possible he can release some of his Ki enough to stall his oncoming
opponent to give enough time for himself & Piccolo to do the Fusion.
Then the Music that comes on when Piccolo & Nail combine called
'Piccolo & Nail Fuse' comes on & with that the ground they are standing on
starts to shake, dust blowing, etc.

i know it has already been stated, but i'd like to underline again that level system must be reviewed... i mean.. it should be more similar to the one in the manga.. if your level is 160 you would expect to be A LOT stronger than a non-powered up char, even in simple hand combat.. what's the point in getting higher levels otherwise?
and if you're level is 160, that should be an actual measure of your power.. so you should be just as strong whether you're fighting lv 8 crilin or lv 8 ssj4 gogeta..
and i really don't wanna see a lot of meaningless chars, such as oav chars' crews, the farmer with the shotgun, "the man that appears for half a second in that episode".. it's nowhere stated that every single char who has every appeared in db universe must appear..
and above all, i don't wanna see, for anything in the world, another insignificant char being stronger, faster and having more powerful blasts than goku and gohan [take sauzer, kiwi or saibaiman as examples]..
ah, maybe i've already said this.. however.. it would be cool if goku and young gohan had their saiyan armors as well, as they did in the cell saga..
and if they put a limit to fusion and transformations.. for example, super buu that turns to piccolo's cape buu when gotenks' fusion runs out, or ssj3 transformation ending when goku or gotenks run out of energy... for example, any ssj might de-transform if their ki gauge becomes completely empty like it does after several guard-break moves.. cell could de-transform if he sustains massive damage [such as 25k in a row]..
freezer can't de-transform in the manga, just like humans or pai ku han can't, but something equivalent to that may be included.. something like fast ki deminution until they hit the opponent away and rest a while..
this might be working for any character.. as it has already been stated, "fatigue".. if a char sustains substantial damage he might need to rest.. a state similar to current astonishment, but allowing you to move in order to for example run away to rest..

exactly! some kind of "absolute values" level system..
of course a gogeta might be just more suitable for direct fight than a same level kiwi, who would have to rely more on his blasts, but in my opinion a level 8 char and a level 160 char shouldn't be very close at all.. while in bt2 the most relevant difference is health and b2.. no relevant speed, ki or defence changes..
defence must be powered up indeed... the current system is weaker than bt's.. not blocking the first attack makes you prey of every kind of combo the computer wants to do.. and it can do without making any mistakes, damn it..
other times the opponent's hits just hold you in the same guard position, preventing you from doing ANYthing, if you don't have any explosive wave / shield move..

in my opinion it's not a matter of "that character has that level in the anime"..
i mean, the level should be as close to the anime as possible, but as a system, not as a level-list..
i mean, 160 is the absolute value that indicates the power of the character.. now, it won't make a lot of difference if the char is nappa or gogeta, if they have the same combact level they're equal..

I would love to see Kid Goku from DBGT with the abilty to transform to any of the 4 lvls of Super Sayian and the Golden Ozaru. A few other Char I would love to see are kid Uub, General Rildo, King Piccolo, King Vegeta, Kid Vegeta, and King Cold.

OK, here's a list of all the maps that should be in the game (that I can think of).
Roshi's Island: A map consisting of the sea, as well as master Roshi's island, but mostly sea.
Kami's/Dende's Tower: Self explanatory.
Sky: The characters are a hundred miles above the ground, and all combat consists of aerial combat. Unless one of the players smash the other down to the ground map (or if they're Goku or Gohan, in which case they can walk on the clouds, like with nimbus :D).
Namek Sky: The same as "Sky", only it's the Namek one.
Korrin's Tower: This map is at the base of Korrin's Tower, though the players can go to the top of it if they fly (or perhaps climb...).
Namek: A map of the general Namek landscape.
Dieing Namek: Namek after Frieza blasted its core (though it hasn't reached blowing up stage just yet...). Lightning occasionally strikes players, and lava surges from the ground (also harming players). The planet blows up after the same duration of time as in the manga.To be continued.....

in an old DBZ fighting game i played(either snes or sega genisis) i remember you could knock the opponent to another "stage" it would go from ground to ski to kami's lookout. would be cool if you kept using the dragon homing hits to knock him upward after he hits the top of the map and you hit him up again he goes flying upward and you chase after him to the "sky" stage maybe then kami's lookout then space and so on
also as far as kid goku flying i liked what was done in dragon ball advance adventure(the flying levels) where you started off on the nimbus cloud thing you can jump off it and if you pressed a butten the cloud would come up to you or if you fell too far the cloud would catch you at the bottem of the level.
New Suggetsion:
if your keeping the Zitems similar to what they are devide them up more so we dont have to look though a list of 100+ items, same with the characters, devide them by race or something and count the one off races like namekian(only piccolo) into an over all "alien" race.
in the item shop have something to indicate how many of the current items you own and have equiped to a character also, in the buying window

your transformations would be rather long in terms of the actual fight, in order to rectify that i would have a transformation cutscenes option, Full(your suggestion), Partial(action stops and you see the transformation occure quickly, like in BT2), and Off(action dosnt stop during transformations).
also they need to fix the kaioken attack, he says it then does it not the other way around... how could they mess that up?

You forgot the Foot Kamahamaha :D (no really, he shoots a kamahamaha with his feet.). Also, yeah they do need transformations for Piccolo (otherwise he'll be using Hell Zone Grenade when he fights Raditz....). It'd be REALLY COOL to have kid Vegeta, in fact I have my personal fan fic for him (although a Story Mode Maker would be much better since it'd let us make these characters).

That should not be left to the developers. I have seen dozens of suggestions for a character creator feature. You would need one for another popular requested feature. Massive Multiplayer Online or MMO.

last topic:
Closer & detailed points to look at
~When a character wants to transform into a more powerful form, their appearance in height, shape,
must change. Even when powering up the environment (yes, environment) must shake like an
earthquake, rocks crumbling, ground shaking along with cracks in the ground crumbling and getting
bigger by the cause of the power up, sky turning dark, etc.
(Characters good, & evil e.g. Super Saiyan, Oozaru, Changling).
~When fighting, make it sound real & not ridiculous. Fans do not wanna see Krillin & Cell (Imperfect
Form) matching blows & physical attacks. I am sick of those such as Hercule, Videl, Master Roshi &
Tao Pai Pai (what Spike were thinking when they added these to Dragonball Z BT) damaging those like
Goku SSJ2, Kid Buu. I definitely agree with Pio when he said there must be a way to gauge how strong
your opponent is. By doing this a strong warrior like Cooler will not be able to go up against someone
like Omega Shenron because he will be destroyed in one attack. Put Hercule, Videl, Master Roshi & Tao
Pai Pai in a Z extra Tournament where they will be considered stronger than the average human fighter.
At least Roshi has the ability to sense even the slightest Ki.
~As characters fight they take damage, their body must take damage. The slightest scar or cut must
be visible, and when taking a hit or blast, their clothes must disintegrate bit by bit. Like 123456 said:
Level 1- Some rip to the clothes (Minor damage to the Body)
Level 2- A bit more (scar on face, bloody cheek & mouth, out of breath)
Level 3- A great deal of damage (clothes almost ripped, body limping, blood from face to body bruised,
swollen eye that is almost closed)
~Bring back like what they did in B3 where a character can disappear, reappear in mid air & pinball their
opponents around the place for as long as they want (By da way the next game should be 3D or 4D).
~Bring & put the Original Soundtrack from Funimation Productions where they will make fighting come
to life. Got sick of the music from old Budokai Games. They did this for the recent to date Dragonball Z
Japanese Games, so I can't see why they can't do it for the English Games!
E.g. Frieza Saga the fight between Frieza (2nd Form) & Piccolo (fused with Nail). Ginyu Saga
the fight between Son Goku and Captain Ginyu and the Ginyu Force Theme comes on.
~Make the fighting environments huge, no limits (no not like the one in Tenkaichi where even there it
had walls but at least 10-20x bigger than T2) and everything is destructible. If an attack should go into
outer space it should destroy any neighbouring planets or if the onslaught misses it's target it should
leave a huge crater or be able to go deeper into the planets core and eventually cause it to explode.
But give the character the opportunity to escape the planet before it explodes!
~If a fighter like Frieza (Final Form) were to launch his Death Ball at Recomme from the air or even on
the ground the attack will easily kill him, even if he barely manages to avoid it, Frieza will still take him
out. But if he were to launch it at someone like Cooler (Final Form) he can either catch it and punch or
kick it away, counter it with his own attack, teleport anywhere he wants to catch him off guard or
even stand there and his ki will be able to stop it or if it touches him and explodes it shouldn’t faze
him. That will be tight if something like that is introduced.
~If one opponent wants to sense where his other opponent is, they can concentrate to sense them,
which is why the lock-on should be brought back (This can't be done with Androids as they do not
have power levels, except Cell, if he powers up). Also the warriors should have the ability to hide &
raise their power level at will, to surprise their opponent when trying to attack them or hiding away
from them.
~Teleporting from one place to another should be no exception for warriors. It is the one thing that
makes the difference between victory and defeat. Make fighters teleport from whatever distance to
their opponent & to get away from their opponent (Do not get it twisted with Instant Transmission.
Other characters like Piccolo & Frieza were able to do this).
~The energy waves when locked on should be equal e.g. Cell (Perfect Form) & Goku SSJ should be
equal depending on the power difference between them (like I said before), & if possible like Pio said
have the power to overpower the other by pressing a particular button, the warrior screams and their
power increases along with their attack they are using (like what Goku did to Vegeta in Saiyan Saga).
This way their strength & speed increases. If Cell were to do something like this to Yamcha, he won't
even have to try.
So you see, power levels are a definite MUST in this Game & for future releases.
~Bring back the alternate costumes for every fighting warrior in DB, DBZ, & DBGT
(from B3, except add more costumes)!
~Large characters like Hildegarn, Janemba (Fat Form), Oozaru and Lord Slug (Giant Form) must be huge
as to the Series & Movies. I have no idea why Atari & Spike reduced their size and to be honest I was
not happy as I thought their size will be massive. But they need to be drastically bigger on the PS3 DBZ
Game.
~When characters want to triumph over their opponent whether it is powering up, using an attack,
send their opponent flying or get hit in any way they must have or say different quotes for each type
of situation. In turn the opponent must do or say the same thing to themselves or out loud
making it like the series e.g. Trunks Saga
Trunks- Okay, that’s two. I'll give you 1 more chance 2 hit me with everything you've got. And then it's
strike 3 Frieza, game over, you're out!
Frieza- Hm, its time we put an end 2 this!
I recommend you go back to watch this episode where Trunks makes his first appearance to stop
Frieza & warn the others of the Androids in this Saga. See exactly what they say.
~For warriors good & evil to control their attacks if it is in mid air & launch it in any other direction they
choose to surprise their opponent.
e.g. Frieza (100% Final Form) used Spinning Disk on Goku SSJ after realising he will lose in Frieza Saga
Cell (Perfect Form) fired a Kamehameha at Goku SSJ in the ring; he jumped & caused Cell to launch the
attack upwards at him in Cell Games Saga.
This should apply to all characters (except Hercule & Videl, who should not be lined with the warriors).
~When warriors fire energy blasts at one another, or their special or ultimate attacks at their opponent
from mid-air or on the ground, they should explode if it touches the ground, or absorbed by their
opponents attack, or even pushed away as seen on the TV Series & Movies. Some Ki blasts or attacks
should be absorbed by some depending on who's fighting. Also it should show how much the attack has
destroyed part of the landscape in full detail.
~Characters should have the ability to tap a button & dodge their opponents punches & kicks like they
did in B3! Then go anywhere they want. They should be able to dig deep in the ground & attack their
opponents as well besides in the water.
~All characters good & evil should have the ability to take as much time as they needed for an attack
& launch it whenever they want meaning they have the option to make their attack do more or less
damage & the energy barrier should last for as long as they want. Players must have the ability to
control their characters with these abilities
e.g. Cell Games Saga Goku SSJ vs. Cell Perfect Form Goku controlled himself when he used the
Kamehameha when trying to hit Cell from up in the air then used Instant Transmission knowing he will
destroy the planet firing it from up in the air, & Cell unleashed his Perfect Barrier when Goku was firing
blasts at him.
By the way, are most of you fed up with the way characters have to charge at their opponent to use
their ultimate attack from previous Budokai games? Burning Slash by Trunks, Instant Transmission
Kamehameha by Goku, Demon Sword Attack by Janemba. It should not be like this in the next game.
Atari, take this on board.
~The fighting combo needs to improve drastically. All fighters must fight connecting blows, fists, legs,
and must last for a while.
~Another thing that came to mind was that Atari & Spike should find a way to create time period so it
passes from day to night with a real time. This may give an advantage to fighters who can fight during
the day & those to the night.
E.g Androids can fight during the day & night thanks to their sensors built in them, Saiyans who may
want to go Oozaru should they not have the ability to do Artifical Moonlight, thus waiting for nightfall
for the Full Moon. That will definitely please fans. Also there should be a timeline in the story mode for
the warriors to build to take a specific period to build up their power level then after recovering from a
serious injury to rise to a new level of power.
~Introduce on-line game play with good vs. evil characters & vice versa. That sounds interesting.
~Have better, more detailed & sharper drawn characters that will easily stand out when anyone looks
at it (if not like the series & movies, just as close. This is PS3, so we should not expect to see nothing
less). This includes characters with facial expressions when they are happy, pissed, etc
in different situations.
~It would be great if you can create a section for other characters e.g. Nameks, Humans, Saiyans.
And make up names for them. That would be great for all fans.
~Do more ‘What ifs’ for the Storyline:
e.g. *What if we met Frieza’s parents and his people on his home planet?
*What if Raditz survived the fight on Earth?
*What if the Saiyan home world was not destroyed?
*What do we know more about the Saiyan legends especially that of the
Super Saiyan and has anyone heard of the legend of the
Red Saiyaness?

No, I know I had to explain a bit more about weaker characters beating stronger ones, that is why I
explained about them training & being customized so they will build up & take on the stronger warriors
but I also said how warriors can also defend themselves in the process. Like the 7th Idea:
~If a fighter like Frieza (Final Form) were to launch his Death Ball at
Recomme from the air or even on the ground the attack will easily kill him, even if he barely manages to
avoid it, Frieza will still take him out. But if he were to launch it at someone like Cooler (Final Form)
he can either catch it and punch or kick it away, counter it with his own attack, teleport anywhere he
wants to catch him off guard or even stand there and his ki will be able to stop it or if it touches him
and explodes it shouldn’t faze him. That will be tight if something like that is introduced.
It was just an idea in ways characters can defend themselves when their foe launches an attack
against them & how they can counter it either by their hands, or feet by pushing it away, using their Ki
depending on how much power they have to stop the attack so it explodes but does no damage to
them, counter the attack by using one of their special attacks.
Thats what I meant. And I am glad you agree with my Ideas!

see the great thing about characters is they have ones with stats and ones without stats so you can have these realistic character matches while still having fair fights
with recomme probably someonme you hardly use when you fight the one with "stats" vs frieza with stats frieza will probably own. or goku or whoever
so the keeping it the way it is stat guys and the balanced guys is good stop requesting this change as it will probably more likely turn into some characters being beyond useless.
though online and create a character and more characters i agree should be at the top of the list.

Ive been playing dbzbt2 like crazy now, trying to level up all characters. But i do think there should be a difference in strength between characters like ss4 gogeta and buu, For a fact in the series buu wouldn't have a chance in hell against him but in the game he whoops my ass,( but i always win:D ). There shouldn't be that much of a difference but he should still be stronger and just like how hercules punches doesnt move any body but it still damages people thats how every ones punches should be to ss4 gogeta except for omega shenron. I think everyone is tired of playing as ss3 goku or ss gogeta and getting knocked around by weaker characters that wouldnt have a chance in the series.

yah have an equipment item type that are realy good but "break" easily, like the sword could do a fairly good amount of damage but it will break after repeated use

as i've noticed alot of people are saying about a custom character mode ... i bin thinking that since i got BT2, maybe have a start off section whether u want to be saiyan, human, namekian, android etc . custom for face, size, hair clothes n stuff. but when it comes to transformations say for super saiyan, maybe have so u can alter the size of them and the way the hair is n stuff for each transformation ... and with other ppl change the way they look completely like skin tone etc ... cos that wud b amazing ...
what i would like to see as well is when u have won a battle with a blast 2 or UB for the opponent to disintergrate instead of flying off and hitting the ground ... dont ya guys think? :noob:

Transformations:
.Same as T2 but you can go to any level e.g ss3-ss1
.Like we saw in the demos of T2, so you transform in real-time (no cutscene)
Transformation Combos:
.Lift Punch (Charged) then Teleport but as you disapear you re-apear as a Super Saiyan (or SS2, SS3)
.Kamehameha, Then go Super Saiyan as it fires
.same as above but during a Beam Struggle
.Rush Battle but go Super Saiyan

no skimping on 90% of the cutscenes this time it annoys me when you get just the goku/vegita fight, goku/freeza and goku/kid buu fight in highly devloped cutscenes when all the rest is just the characters standing there talking. also use custom music for cutscenes not random some of them match up vary badly, realy distracting.
also if you are supposed to lose in a fight(meaning that the ending cutscene reflects you loosing) do what buu's fury and legacy of goku did, once the enemy's health goes down a certain amount the ai gets either insanly difficult and beats you, or it just stops your controls from working. even before that point if you manage to lose so what? you where supposed to lose(no "failure" if you do)

Goku has become an elite but he always challenges King Vegeta, soon he goes Super Saiyan and over throws the newly Super Saiyan vegeta with the help of Brolly but realising Brollys potential Goku murders the young warrior and soon Goku conquers the Universe.
Cool idea. If they do put in a Story Maker mode then you could make it yourself and have it exactly how you want :D.

How about create a saga mode.
They could have it so you could just have things like choose what characters are in the cut scene and put words in voice bubbles then time them and decide the order of the battles

I agree. But you know what else would rock? What about a "create your own stage" mode? You can set the background, breakable objects and so on.

A very good idea if you ask me.
Have not been on for the past 5 days due to my Christmas Tree being set up next to my PC, so I was
forced to wait until the family took down the Christmas Decorations. But I hope everyone had an
enjoyable Christmas & all the best for the New Year.
They should also (Story Mode) just follow what they did in B1 but this time make the characters & the
background feel like the real thing (like how the Spirit Bomb in that cutscene in B1 began sinking into
the Planet) but just keep it going with the words of the characters moving in real time with the mouths
of these characters. Make everything destructible, and elaborate more when it comes to the story
mode. E.g. show Raditz plumming to Earth in his Spacepod crashing, show Goku talking to King Yemma
& running along Snake Way, show Turles Men planting the Seed which eventually grows into a huge
Tree sucking the life out of the Earth, let the Sky turn dark when Goku was wished back to life in the
Saiyan Saga as well as Piccolo in the Frieza Saga, all transformations to be unique, let each &
every emotion for all characters shoe how they feel about a different situation.
Once they do this I will be satisfied.

I want little indents in the ground when a energy ball hits the ground. When a strong energy blast hit the ground it leaves a crater. They should also make it when you do beam struggles that a crater forms under your feet from the power of the beam collideing like it did when goku and vegeta beam struggled. In the saiyan saga , in the battle with vegeta I want the beam struggle to automaticly intiant when you knock out all of vegeta's health and you have to mash certian button to power up gokus beam by using different kaioken levels. They should also make goku look like he did in the anime when he powers up his kaioken levels.

plain aND simple 2 player online play is a must !! right ?
just work out all the glitching servers and cheats so they cant be used like in battlefield 2 that ruin the experience !
make sure you get the fighting right like in budokai 3 ! DBZ is supposed to be about the fighting !
make goku the best and fasest fighting style this time unlike in budokai 3 where he has openings everywhere ! he is the hero . like ryu in street fighter was the best style if yall dont know ryu's dragon punch was uncounterable ! his fierce punch was tough as well ! fireball was fast !
make sure you have the capsule system of budokai 3 too ! people love to buy stuff ! and winning money in the tournament is great ! makes you have to work for the capsules that build your warrior !
also the build system of budokai 3 is superb !! the 6 attribute 99 level makes you have to choose carefully ! So no leveling past 99 OK !
Capsules,money,level 99 system, and 2 player online with no cheats or glitching ! thats enough for me !!
yall can sacrifice the cinamatics we dont need them as much people can watch the DBZ movies for that !!

You know they aren't going to be adding in anymore than twenty or perhaps thirty characters.
My idea for Tenkaichi 3 would be to completely change the game. Add in graphics better than Budokai 3, music better than what was already made, and a better control system. Have a staff of professional, amateur, and some of us as testers for the game on these three different environments and have it so that each and every tester approves of the music, graphics, and controls.
In my own opinion... the controls should have a two step function. Dragonball Level Fighting and Dragonball Z Level Fighting.
Use the controls similar to what is made for Budokai 3 and just upgrade them here and there. Then have it accessable for the Dragonball level of the game. And then add in the controls of Budokai Tenkaichi 2 with several upgrades and twists and then have that as the accessable part of the game for the Dragonball Z level of the game.
There should be a button to change between the two settings. And you should automatically be brought into the Z mode if you venture too far or you were hurled so far from the opponent to give the game some realism. However, venturing so close does not automatically bring you into Dragonball mode, unless certain conditions were brought into place or your character doesn't fit in the Z mode, like Master Roshi.
The controls in general should be similar to the following.
For DB Mode:
Standard Buttons
X = Block/Dodge (Vary base on style)
[ ]= Punches (Vary base on style)
/\ = Kicks (Vary base on style)

Special Buttons
R1 = Throws/Counters, some actions require to press a standard button or 2
For instance, R1 + /\ allows one to counter kicks which vary from style. It could easily be capturing one's legs or using special Jujutsu movement to move the opponent off balance to have a sudden advantage.
R1 + [ ] allows one to counter punches in a very similar manner as the above combination.
R1 + X allows one to use taunts.
R1 + ( ) allows one to use special moves like instant transmission, time freeze, and other such abilities.
R2 = Transformations/power-ups/stances/styles
R2 + up allows you to transform one way
R2 + down allows you to return from that transformation
R2 + right allows you to transform another way
R2 + left allows you to return from that transformation
There are combos to how this is done.
For instance, R2 + Up = Demi SSJ Goku. R2 + Up + Up = SSJ Goku. R2 + Up + Down = Normal Goku. R2 + Up + Up + Right = Ultra Super Saiyan Goku or R2 + Up + Up + Right = Super Kaioken Goku. However, R2 + Up + Right = Super Saiyan Goku, since Goku has nothing but Super Saiyan to ascend to after Demi SSJ.
So the R2 + Right could give someone the same transformation as R2 + Up or a different one, depending on the character. Power-ups are used under the same buttons as transformations and make take over the use of a transformation like Ultra Super Saiyan.
R2 + Left and R2 + Down are the reverting combinations and only serve for that reason.
Simply pressing R2 will allow you change stances.
R2 + /\, [ ], ( ), or X = Style Changes (like use sword or don't use sword or use a different style of kung fu or jujutsu)
Like Roshi using Drunken Fist or Kid Goku using Monkey Kung-Fu.

Do not list transformations as characters.
Characters should be very realistic like in combat with vivid facial expressions and voices during various moments of the game, while fighting. For instance if you hit Cell very hard in the stomac, he should make this kind of reaction.

Ey,, these are some of my ideas for the next game
To start with the characters should be more original and different from each other,, an idea of mine was to give each character special abilities and moves,, examples are:
-Warrior sayians should be able to shoot an artificial moon into the sky that powers them up and gives them the ability to transform into an oozaru at will,, they should also be able to plant a saibamen that can aid them in battle
-Fat buu, super buu and majuub should be able to transform their enemy’s into chocolate for an amount of time
-Guldo should be able to freeze time and cap. Ginyu can change bodies with the opponent
-Cells first to forms can absorb strength from their opponents powering himself up and stealing one of their moves,, his perfect form should be able to create cell jrs that assist him in battle
you get the point,, another way to make characters more unique is to let Atari make less important characters like cell jr, saibamen, cui, and so on, help-characters,, these characters can be called upon during battle and they will do a blast attack, a rush, an ultimate blast or something verry different depending on which help-character you choose. Depending on what help-character you choose you can also do a special move. (Cui and Freeza) This way Atari doesn’t have to completely get rid of those characters and so they can make the more important characters more special and original and they can make the battles more interesting by adding help-character. I can understand some people have grown attached to some of those characters and don’t want this to happen,, also new help-characters can be added,, characters like dende, yakon, babidi, doray and nikki. Some help-characters can exclusively aid only a type of character(Majin, sayian, good, evil).
Tell me what you think of the idea.
-About the transforming, some transformations need a small, short sequence, like the supreme kai and Oozaru’s. Also some characters should only be able to transform if they fulfil a certain condition. An example is kid Goku,, like Lightning said that levels should be able to go night. Kid Goku can only transform at night because that’s when there is a full moon or he can transform when another player uses an artificial moon. Or Freeza can turn into mecha-freeza if he dies and does something special or something like that like in B3. As soon as one of these conditions are fulfilled he can look at the moon and transform
-In the next there should be an option where you can edit your character(note, not create a character) this way you can edit your fav character in any way you like and use that as his alternate costume,, you can also edit the colours of the clothing and or skin(Buu, cell, freeza),, imagine: Nappa without a moustache, kid buu wearing a that black majin hat that bibidi wore or a different sword for trunks/dabura/janemba and so on. This is again another reason why there should be help-characters. If there were too many main characters there would be no way that they could all be provided with enough interesting character edit items.
-In story mode instead of playing trough the main storyline, you should be able to go trough every characters own adventure, like when you choose goku you play trough his life from as a child to when he was an adult. This way you can choose your own path as your character unlock interesting what ifs:
-What if nappa/raditz transformed with the power ball
-What if Buu absorbed vegeta/freeza/cell/ and so on (What if transformations)
-What if goku was evil, (Unlock Turles)
I cant name any very interesting ones right now but for anyone her who has played super sonic warriors 2 should be familiar with what I am saying.
-Instead of using cutscenes in story mode it would be awesome if there were highly detailed animated comics reminiscent of the manga. It would be great if they could add parts from the original manga by AT or even the whole thing but that would be impossible
- Rush moves should include a button sequence like in B3. If the attacker wins then the attack goes on normally and does max damage. But if the defender wins then an alternate sequence will be activated and the damage would become much less. This way rush attacks become more interactive and more fun.
- Z-items should not only be able to powerup characters but also be able to give them new moves and abilities like in B3. This way you need more time to collect every attack and move for the characters thus more replay-value.

I love your ideas though as well as what Minotast said.
I was also wondering how they will make each & every warrior different. Like you said with Guldo the
ability to freeze time for a short period, I hope this is done exactly like the show. And the way
you edit your character to make them look a bit different in the Garms they are wearing & what their
looks are like.

I can agree with that and adding in a Saibaman or creating an artificial moon is something that can accessable in Z mode.

Chocolate or candy depending on the opponent and which character.

Actually my idea was that they could function as adding in a sudden tag team, except you can't tag back to your actual character and all damage in inflicted onto these little substitutes, which have a little bit health and are reflected upon in other attributed by their master. Another example of a help fighter would be the Kamikaze ghosts of Gotenks and Super Buu. But they practically have no health and explode on impact. Their abilities are made as is and they can even swap amongst each other while doing their attacks, depending on their attacks. But as I have said, all damage goes to these little guys before their boss can be summon out to fight again.
The characters like Cell, Buu, Gotenks, and what not can only summon a selected few of these helpers depending on the items or techniques given to them. Like you need Saibaimen seeds to summon Saibaimen and you need Kamikaze Ghost ability equiped to summon Kamikaze ghosts.
Depending on what help-character you choose you can also do a special move. (Cui and Freeza) This way Atari doesn’t have to completely get rid of those characters and so they can make the more important characters more special and original and they can make the battles more interesting by adding help-character. I was thinking that Nikki, Babidi, Yakon, and Dende shouldn't be helpers.
And that use of such characters should be made in Z mode as you sort of already do with Videl and Great Saiyaman or with Goten and Gohan.

I totally agree. Those kinds of transformations need to be longer and have some sort of scene taking place like Budokai 3 between Kibito and Supreme Kaio.

Kind of like what you had said. The transformation should be equiped and a certain action or condition must be taken.
Like if you fight in a scene where the moon comes out then Goku can transform into his Oozaru state. Or Vegeta can tost a lunar blast into the sky to turn oozaru. Or Frieza has to die to become Mecha. Vegeta must do a certain taunt to become Majin. Cell must die to become Super Perfect. Cooler must die to later summon out one of his metas, for which he can continously do until you destroy that Big Ghetti Star. Similarly you must destroy the moon or the lunar blast to bring Kid Goku or Vegeta back into their normal state.

Yes I agree. You should be able to through an entire story of when they first appeared to the very end against Omega Shenron. Or if you play as Omega Shenron, you have to defeat the other Shadow Dragons and other characters like Vegeta and Goku. And finally you have to fight SSJ4 Gogeta at the end.

I can agree with what-if transformations. But only realistic ones that could have happened. Like what if Buu had absorbed Goku instead of Gohan as sort of a Gohan story.

I think the cutscenes are better for BT3. Super DBZ 2 should have the comic scenes, since it is based on the manga more so.

Yeah similar to that.

I can agree with that... but if you can equip Z items, then the number items equippable should equal to the level of the character. Thus a level 100 character can have every transformation and technique added plus additional things as well.

Well what I want is a better fighting system.Make the hand to hand combat like super dbz.What I would like is that did with the first Budokai.Like on Kami's Lookout you would knock a person off and they be in another area.That would be nice.
But back to the hand to hand combat.Make it like super dbz.But I think the characters should have 8 moves,use the left and right.

You know they aren't going to be adding in anymore than twenty or perhaps thirty characters.
My idea for Tenkaichi 3 would be to completely change the game. Add in graphics better than Budokai 3, music better than what was already made, and a better control system. Have a staff of professional, amateur, and some of us as testers for the game on these three different environments and have it so that each and every tester approves of the music, graphics, and controls.
In my own opinion... the controls should have a two step function. Dragonball Level Fighting and Dragonball Z Level Fighting.
Use the controls similar to what is made for Budokai 3 and just upgrade them here and there. Then have it accessable for the Dragonball level of the game. And then add in the controls of Budokai Tenkaichi 2 with several upgrades and twists and then have that as the accessable part of the game for the Dragonball Z level of the game.
There should be a button to change between the two settings. And you should automatically be brought into the Z mode if you venture too far or you were hurled so far from the opponent to give the game some realism. However, venturing so close does not automatically bring you into Dragonball mode, unless certain conditions were brought into place or your character doesn't fit in the Z mode, like Master Roshi.

Minotast reactions like that are already in Shin Budokai but your right I would like to see effects like that for a console game. And the suggestion for B1 style story mode cutscene is brilliant.:up: It appears that you have a more than just a bad attitude. Keep the suggestions coming.:up:

The problem with Minotoasts post is that the control are becoming to complicated.If they incorporate all that in the game we would have a very complicated control scheme.
Now however I do agree with the facial expressions and such,seeing as how they add a certain deegre of realness to a game.
I do agree on there should be two different fighting modes.Like when were up close the game should switch the controls to how they were in Budokai.
[ ]=punch
/\=Kick
O=Ki blast
X=Guard/sidestep
And as far as the attacks go.
L2+O=Blast 1
L2+O+a direction(^,v,> included)is another Blast 2
And you should be able to click in the L3 to change the Blast 1 into Blast 2.
Holding L2+X=power guard.
L2+punch or kick=power punch or power kick.
Holding L2 alone=power up.
And they should keep the other controls(Flight and Ki search) alone.
