how bout these ideas i think that the earth explosions should be like b3 because they wer different and wen you add more power to a kamahamaha it should look huge they should also fix the damaging system were if you do a special beam cannon it leaves a devastating wound same with death beam and one of my coolest ideas i just thought about is an all NEW targeting SYSTEM for example if you are the character frieza or piccolo or goku ill tell you how this targeting system would work for these characters for frieza your about to use a deathh beam on an opponent it then goes into a targeting mode kinda like a crossair goes on the screen and you can target a body part with that move like if you want to slow them down you can aim it at their leg so they can hardly walk however to use this you must have max ki for goku its diferent wen using his kamehameha youll fire the beam and if your opponent dodges it youll be able to controll the move and the beam will chase after him or her but this will drain your enegy the longer you do this all these moves depend on how strong your opponent is like wen goku was super saiyan he took a death beam to the face and was still standing but if its someone like guldo or krillin they would be hurt or killed so thats the targeting system now after the battle you go to your character and you get to see wat damage they took and wer it was given like it will show x-rays and a non x-ray vision of there body this could also be used in story mode like for a saiyan the closer you come to death the stronger you become i know these are a must have in the dbz game
they should only have that for yamchas spirit ball

for freezas first transformation he should breat the saiyan armor an then grow bigger slowly
it shouldn't happend in like 2 seconds
also before transformation they should say something that they said in the anime
like freeza saying i'm done messing with you
That would b good, I see what your trying to say. Like in B3, why does he go into a pink egg?! And in T2, all of the transformations take about 1 or 2 seconds and all look really bad. When a saiyan is about to turn great ape, he transforms like any other character.....why?! He should start staring at the full moon and then he starts taking features of the great ape (like the mouth, teeth, fur etc.) Then he should start growing and the end result: A GREAT APE!! They just really need to go back and look at the episodes, and then change the stuff in the game to look like it! Easy!!:bulb:

Hey all, just finished editing my profile, so check it out.
All right, more suggestions, here they are:
Something I call "unique personal action engine"
Now, what this is, is a unique set of actions only avalible to certain characters. Broly would have his intimidation stance and walk. (When he walked through Goku's Kamehameha)
These could be anything from animations, to unique throws, attacks, counters or what-not. I know that Tenkaichi has it's favorite moves for each characters, but there not quite spot one with the characters themselves.
But that's all I got for now, you guys are all a bunch of the wickedists fans I know, keep up the good conduct, peace.

They also need to put lots of Dragonball characters in it. How cool would a Kid Krillin be?! And also, you should b able to curve beams like Kamahamaha, like in the show.:D

Hey man. Raditz COULD transform if he wanted to. GT Goten and GT Trunks probably wouldn't have been able to. They both slacked off on their training, and you need roughly the same power levels to fuse.
And me sound dumb? You're just a newbie, so keep your titles to yourself thank you very much.

I think that Goten and Trunks weren't born with a tail, it could just be a gene thing, because of the fact of 1/2 human 1/2 Saiyan. And I remember seeing a flashback of Raditz in Oozaru form, anyway, back to ideas.
I'd like to see Kabito on T3 so that Kabitoshin could have a cool Potara fusion. Same with Vegito. The holder of the Potara earrings has to lock on to the ally (must be compatible) and throw one earing to them, and they will both put it on and fuse.
However, with Kabito and Supreme Kai, they should just have to lock on to each other and take one earring off.

In bt3 if there are gonna be 2v2 or something with all players on the screen, then the one you lock onto should be the one's health-bar who will be displayed.

I think that pl and ki should be seperate because when your pl is low that you don't see that radar thing flashes were you are and you can charge pl like
L2 up: your pl goes up
L2 down: pl goes down
L2: charge ki

Well, I am working at an idea for a capsule shop. Here is how far I have come:

Okay. My capsule shop should have a system where you chose between three things:
1. Ability Moves
2. Enhancements
3. Costume & Customization
1. Ability Moves:
As you can see above. This part will make you able to choose capsules from the different sagas. Most capsules can only be found in one exclusive saga. You will have to go through that saga in story mode to unlock these moves. The player in the picture above has jjust started at the Sayian Saga. He has not battled Vegeta yet. Therefor, as you can see. The capsule "Kaioken X3" is locked. You would have to accomplish that episode in order to unlock the capsule.
The capsules will be sorted out in a good way. Every capsule from the saga will be displayed at the list. There is no way that you can change them by first exiting and then walk inside again (as in B3). In that way, you would not have to try for half an hour just to find a single capsule. You can buy the capsule twice before it disappears. This is because that you will be able to make an ability move more powerful by equipping it twice to the character. If you sell it back to the capsule slot, it will once again appear at the display. In that way, you will be sure that you won't get the same capsule over and over again.
2. Enhancements:
Now this option got a different display than the ability move display. You will now have the option of just collecting every enhancement capsule in one category named "All Capsules". You will still have the option to switch between the sagas, but it isn't quite needed if you do not want to do it. There isn't much more to tell about this one. You simply buy enhancements like Senzu Bean, Sparking, Health +20 etc.
3. Costume & Customization:
Costume:
Now this is something that the game totally needs! An option of buying new costumes. You will start with a normal fighting gi for Goku in the story mode. But as the game goes on, Goku will have changed his gi several times during the story mode. Whenever you get a new gi, a message will pop up "You have now a new costume accessed in the capsule shop". Then you can go to this place and buy the costume for the characters.
There will be a list over characters when you get in. You can simply choose a character by pressing X at their display. Then you will be taken to a display like this:

As you can see. Kid Goku will have several outfits. The price for outfits is rather high, but that is just to make it more fun:noob:
Customization:
Now you know how to buy a outfit or a costume. Now it is time for me to explain what I mean about customization.
You enter the Outfit & Customization place and then you will have the option to choose between Outfit (above) and Customization. Now then. Customization is a mode that lets you customize the outfit for your character. You can change the boots, the wrist-protection, weapons, scale of how much used the outfit is etc. This would add a lot of variaty into the character model.
Okay everyone. This is just a first shoot, not the final result:) So please suggest anything to make the idea better;):up:

Well, I would not encourage a lot of people to create their own topics though:bulb: Many people are only bringing forth small points which is good for the game. Just a few sentences instead of a detailed view of the idea. Kamiccolo and I got two different idea threads. This is an exception as we do both have long and detailed ideas which is core applications for the game:) I would just like to say this before 100 people post their own thread with 5 lines with 5 ideas in it:confused:

also their should be a create-a-character thing
you can create a character or a fusion of two characters. Also have transformations of charaters. but have it so you can add these things to current characters so you can transform from tien to 6 armed tien in battle

Hmm.. that made me think of something. What if you could change the look of the characters. I do not mean changing them completely, but more like changing the looks after the saga you are in. Sayian Saga Vegeta looks totally differant than Buu Saga Vegeta etc.
IMO it should be like this:
Vegeta (Sayian Saga): He needs his oozaru transformation.
Vegeta: SSJ, Super Vegeta, [Majin Vegeta can be equipped through capsule] SSJ2
GT Vegeta: Base, SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ4

If another DBZ tenkaichi boudakai game were to come out anytime soon. I would just like the game makers to make it as close as they can to the anime in every single way! Just like what this post is all about. It sound good to me! I want to play the game as if I just watched the anime EXACTLY! Not too exactly but with the knowledge and aspect of the anime series knowing whats right from wrong and all his or her limits and capabilities! Things that I see most that come to mind are permanent destructable environments that STAY damaged during the whole fight. Like I said earlier, As close as you can get to DBZ ANIME REALISM. Im all for it!!! :) Keep it up gamers!!!

yea it'd be a bit hard to see all 100 (base) characters on a screen like that, especially if you're playing one a small screen already. i like the idea of getting rid of the bars they used in T2, but choosing characters like that would be a bit hard
and SSJ5 Vegeta's idea for customizing is really good. I like the idea of buying different costumes for a character and stuff like that. it reminds of tekken 5 in a way...

Then why would they make this thread?
Besides, they don't read other threads I don't think, just the OFFICIAL one. I'm sure there are employees who are payed to do this, print it all off and then possible they could read through it in a conference and say "Hey! He's got a cool idea, lets use it!" ......maybe.

In story mode they should have fixed outfits so that it all fits in, but to get it in other modes you have to but it once you've completed the episode that allows you to do so. Good work.

Great looking pic. Needs a little more variety of the characters if it will be on the title screen, like Omega as a shadow in the background, or some other GT characters.

I hated 4 or 5 Vegetas. They should just make the one with the different costumes. And with a capsule system it will allow you to equip his moves from a particular saga if you wanted.

Actually. I was thinking of that the other day, and I really think it would look awesome if the characters looked more 2D, but were still actually 3D. I'd like to see how it would look. It would either look cool or be a complete disaster. But I'd like to see it.:up:
Also, I hated how the characters were so shiny and bright. Like Super 13 and Lord Slug looked awful because of their bright colours. They need to fix up the characters to make them look more natural to the anime.
Okay. Here is an idea I had of what the Story mode should look like (Just an idea). To give a brief explanation. This is the Story Mode for Frieza.

It shows the list of episodes down the right hand side. Once you complete one, you unlock the next one, so on and so forth. Above the episode you select, it shows you the time limit you have, victory conditions and if it is a 1v1 or 2v2. (Or even 1v2 or 2v1). Above it shows all the fighters you will be facing in that battle. In this case, it is just Goku, but in the battle where Frieza versed Piccolo, Gohan and Krillin, it would have shown their faces, and possibly even a 2v2 battle.
It also shows the level you will be fighting on in "baba's crystal ball", as well as being the blurred background for the screen. The episode description is up the top. Frieza appears in the centre because it is his story mode. He is displayed in this form because that is the form he is in for this battle. In his previous fights, it would have displayed the other forms of Frieza, even for the next fights, it will show Mecha Frieza.
It shows a scouter with Frieza's current power level. The power level is just his level, but expressed in a more DBZ way. As you fight more battles, you will get stronger and your power level will increase. The little bars at the bottom of the scouter have some sort of representation of the total strength you can be. So here, Frieza is obviously still starting out. When you reach your maximum power level (maybe...1,000,000 or something), the bars will be tilting right to the other end.
You can press [] to check your sub stats that make up your powerlevel (ie. Stamina, Defence, Attack, Power, Resist, Speed, Ki), and the capsules equipped to Frieza. Transformation capsules are preset for story mode, just to stick close to it.
It also shows a percentage of how much of Frieza's story mode you have actually completed. When all episodes have been completed, you will have 100%. However, there may be some hidden story modes you can only get to by playing a second time around, or by winning with certain conditions like a perfect or finish with a certain move.
Anyway. That's that. If I'm really bored I might make some more.

yea, you guys have loottts of good ideas. i never read it all, because there is so incredibly much, wow. but i think they should incorperate a dragonball story mode. with the old characters and their costumes, like Yamcha, krillin and everyone's costumes throughout the show. the character roster that was in the last game was good. i just think there should be more costumes for the main fighters of the show, and up to buy and customize, maybe something like make your own character, only 1, for each file, like mortal kombat deception, that you can alter over and over again, buy different costumes and costume attributes, such as wristbands, different attacks like all of the Z warriors in db/z have, different wild hairstyles, facial features, body builds, all that stuff. even different Japanese Kanji symbols, like king kai's, kami's, pilaf's, Yamcha's, the one given to the students of master Roshi and so on.. scarfs, belts, and be able to create your own character. or maybe be able to change the names of your attacks too, instead of kamehameha, you could make some name up to call it your own if you wish. but you win Zenie throughout the game to pay for each customizable attribute to your character. and still be able to play as the old characters and all of their costumes, which you need to buy as well. these are just some idea thrown out there. as well as some more arena's to fight in, maybe something like some of the planets on DBGT, or play on planet Vegeta, the planet that the Z warriors first fought Broly on. maybe more than one city area? maybe a volcanic arena, or a cave. instead of just the world tournament, you could have the otherworld tournament also. and do a little better on the characters' bodies, they looked a little corny in the last game, they probably could have been done a bit better. just some ideas thrown out there, sorry if I've used anyone elses, but it's not like I'm going to search through 60 pages or so of ideas.. though if i had the time it would be interesting. anyway, hope I'm of some help and people take my ideas into consideration..

Good idea but I wouldn't support it either. That's going back to the old DBZ Ultimate Battle 22 game for the PS1. I rather like the bars, and yeah? How would you fit 100 odd characters on the screen? Anyway, nice idea!

okay, I already said this before, but I am sick and tired of the awkward character and environment proportions. For example, the 30 story buildings can almost be jumped over, and when I finally got to the Fusion Reborn Saga on BT2, I was severely dissapointed when I got to janempa. I saw the movie first, and was all siked to get to him. Then I saw him, and thought "wow, hes small compared to the movie. kinda depressing". Not to mention Krilling and Kid Gohans proportions are way the heck off. Which is odd, since other small characters like garlic jr, trunks, and goten are just fine, but Krillin and gohans heads are almost deformed and way too big. And krillin is almost bigger than finalform freeze, I think. Not sure on that one, but you get my point.
And I said it before, and Ill say it again. With androids, if they are going to have an "automated" ki system, it should charge a bit faster.
especially for those who cannot absorb energy. Plus, I must mention my complaint about one of my fave characters. Super Android 17. Where the heck is his trademark attack, the Flash Bomber? Another attack that I hate is that some characterrs, like Piccolo, have the most useless charged Ki blast. Youknow, the kind thats really slow, and never manages to make it to the enemy? It cannot be used in close range most of the time either, due to rare chanced to have enough time to fire it off.
I do like how all of Friezas different forms have unique and entertaining attacks.
And one final thing. I am VERY SICK of hearing Insect Cells voice coming out of Imperfect and Perfect Cell. They have been doing that since the original Budokai! I should be hearing an arrogant richboys voice from Perfect cell, not some scratchy lizard/insect with a beak's voice!
....another final thing. If they ever make a true Janembas Hell, I dont want to see just a few candy things here and there. I want the sky littered with them, so you actually need to navigate through them and go around them when needed. Also, they should not just be "sitting there" They should take two or three good smashes crack, then break, and when hit and not breaking, they will be knocked around, clinking and knocking around others, like a giant pool table. Also, like in the show the giant jellybeans should simply absorb any and all energy attacks that happen to hit them, so they can ACTUALLY be used to hide from the enemy.
And another thing I want in that level is the infamous "cone of blood" that Goku got trapped in. If a player gets knocked into it, they move extremely slow until they get out, like being stunned normally. This would allow for a semi-environmental deathtrap, letting the other player have time to charge up and accurately fire their strongest attack. Go ahead and sit ther, telling me that being trapped in teh bloodcone, seeing you enemy setting up a spirit bomb, seeing it come at you, go ahead and TRY to tell me you would not be in a panic. Youd be lying.
I point out these things because most everyone else is just tryin to integrate things like "dragon rush" from B3 (which I personally loathed), or magnify the story mode even more, even though bt3 did an exemplary job this time, cutting little to no corners compared to other dragonball games.p
or they mention the graphics, which, in all honesty, can not really be jumped that much more, other than the designs of the energy attacks, without losing the feel of the original show.
The animations, ya, make em better. And some of the character designs feel off, such as Videls creepy crosseyed face. She scares the heck outta me. And please, PLEASE stop making parts that force me to play as utterly weak joke characters like Hercule. Speaking of the joke characters, the "they cant fly, so fall" gimmick was funny in the beginning, but then you realize how frustrating it is to use them in an actualy fight, since the game revolves around arial combat.
....one final FINAL thing. When I am not flying through the air, I want to be able to walk and run, when Im ont he ground. Im down on earth, and slowly move forward, and it makes me float. Well, then whats the point of being able to "land"? I want ground combat to feel more like GROUND combat!

okay, I already said this before, but I am sick and tired of the awkward character and environment proportions. For example, the 30 story buildings can almost be jumped over, and when I finally got to the Fusion Reborn Saga on BT2, I was severely dissapointed when I got to janempa. I saw the movie first, and was all siked to get to him. Then I saw him, and thought "wow, hes small compared to the movie. kinda depressing". Not to mention Krilling and Kid Gohans proportions are way the heck off. Which is odd, since other small characters like garlic jr, trunks, and goten are just fine, but Krillin and gohans heads are almost deformed and way too big. And krillin is almost bigger than finalform freeze, I think. Not sure on that one, but you get my point.
And I said it before, and Ill say it again. With androids, if they are going to have an "automated" ki system, it should charge a bit faster.
especially for those who cannot absorb energy. Plus, I must mention my complaint about one of my fave characters. Super Android 17. Where the heck is his trademark attack, the Flash Bomber? A hate it how your are two stories tall compared to a building in the city, and that Krillin is way bigger than he is supposed to be, and he's almost bigger than Vegeta. His head is especially wacked. The buildings should be close together cluttered and a real city! No little dome houses and open areas in my opinion. They can be saved for a Ginger Town level or something.
Great Apes, Hirudigarn and Janempa especially need to be bigger.

Well you see i didnt mean to say to put all characters on one page you could have like diferent saga pages to choose from like cell saga and movies like bardock and lord slug and other characters like generic soldiers or for example you get ready to pick characters and a box of sagas/ movies comes up and then etc you then choose either sagas or movies then it gets more detailed like what saga or what movie once you pick your saga thats wen that screen will show up so you know wat i mean so there wont be so many characters on the screen maybe like a maximum number of characters depending on the saga i just think if theyre going to add more characters in the game they should have this in the game and it would make it easier to find characters in stead of just bars and each character would be organized in each saga its not natural to have GT Vegeta in the cell saga right? so each catagorey is neat easier to find and kinda fun in a way and wen you pick your character and choose alt costumes itll actually show wat your gonna ware in the battl kinda like b2 and one last thing the costumes got to be way different for example goku what the hell happened basically all the same they could of added vegetas armor to his costumes remember he trained in the hyper ballic time chamber with gohan thats wat they trained in and even for krillin give him piccolos out fit in the broly second coming ive made my point pretty clear I CAN HELP YOU GUYS OUT WHO NEED HELP WITH PHOTOS this is how you do it

With the character selection idea. I think it wouldn't be half bad. It would look fairly neat, and have them in 2d form, not 3d. Manga style looks better. When you press R1 or something they change costumes. And having the different sagas would be cool, but how would it work on 2 player. When you want to go to the next saga and your friend is choosing from another?
They need a really good system for making it easy to select characters, and it should show the costume changes in the menu. And really rare costumes that the fighter never really has, like Saiyan armour for Goku, Piccolo outfit for Krillin, Pink shirt for Vegeta. You should have to play through and get a perfect in a certain battle, then you can buy it, but it is really expensive, say, 20,000 zeni for a normal costume, and 60,000 zeni for a rare one.
Anyway, here is a rough idea of what I had in my mind of story mode in the form of episodes.

It shows the list of episodes down the right hand side. Once you complete one, you unlock the next one, so on and so forth. Above the episode you select, it shows you the time limit you have, victory conditions and if it is a 1v1 or 2v2. (Or even 1v2 or 2v1). Above it shows all the fighters you will be facing in that battle. In this case, it is just Goku, but in the battle where Frieza versed Piccolo, Gohan and Krillin, it would have shown their faces, and possibly even a 2v2 battle.
It also shows the level you will be fighting on in "baba's crystal ball", as well as being the blurred background for the screen. The episode description is up the top. Frieza appears in the centre because it is his story mode. He is displayed in this form because that is the form he is in for this battle. In his previous fights, it would have displayed the other forms of Frieza, even for the next fights, it will show Mecha Frieza.
It shows a scouter with Frieza's current power level. The power level is just his level, but expressed in a more DBZ way. As you fight more battles, you will get stronger and your power level will increase. The little bars at the bottom of the scouter have some sort of representation of the total strength you can be. So here, Frieza is obviously still starting out. When you reach your maximum power level (maybe...1,000,000 or something), the bars will be tilting right to the other end.
You can press [] to check your sub stats that make up your powerlevel (ie. Stamina, Defence, Attack, Power, Resist, Speed, Ki), and the capsules equipped to Frieza. Transformation capsules are preset for story mode, just to stick close to it.
It also shows a percentage of how much of Frieza's story mode you have actually completed. When all episodes have been completed, you will have 100%. However, there may be some hidden story modes you can only get to by playing a second time around, or by winning with certain conditions like a perfect or finish with a certain move.

Hey everyone, Majin_Vegeta here again.
Suggestion 1: Slow motion button/Dragon Cam. During combat the player would have the ability to slow down time and charged up an attack either in melee to perform a charged stun attacked that when performed camera would zoom into the action to provide a cinematic feel. Also the same would be able to be done with Special moves. Ex: Goku would be able to slow down time with Kamehameha and charge it, while camera slowed down and examined the action, the player would teleport, changing the camera angle to behind Goku after reapearing, then upon release of Kamehameha, camera would "zoom" to the face to show expression. Having this would able the next DBZ game to have the really feeling of "DBZ" because of the cameras in game ai. During fights "moments of power" would be slowed down and viewed at "Action oriented shots"
Tell me what you all think and give some other suggestions if you would like pertaining to my idea.
Suggestion 2: Real time viewing through pause menu. 360 degree still veiwing.

Thanks ss4broly. I did make it myself, and I just got the pictures from all over the place. The idea and setup was my own.
Like I said, there would be a problem when you want to select with 2 player. Having split screen would just complicate things and make the whole screen cluttered I think. But I do like the initial idea.
And about slow motion, that should play a big factor. Like when you go in for the super punches to the stomach of face that make the other player split or cough up blood. With the PS3 engine I believe they can achieve all this slow-mo and camera angle stuff.
There will be another video in the making, so hold on guys.

In story mode they should have fixed outfits so that it all fits in, but to get it in other modes you have to but it once you've completed the episode that allows you to do so. Good work.

Hey man. Raditz COULD transform if he wanted to. GT Goten and GT Trunks probably wouldn't have been able to. They both slacked off on their training, and you need roughly the same power levels to fuse.

Oh well. The thing is that I think that you should be able to switch the outfit during the story mode. Example:
Frieza Saga:
Goku is having his normal Gi on. Then he meets Frieza and the fight starts. After the fight, the clothes Goku is wearing would be ripped up a bit and so on. So you should not only switch outfits during the story mode, but you should also switch the damage taken. When you then get to the part where Goku arrives to Earth, he will wear the Yadrat outfit. He will only wear this outfit for a short period, so that is making it quite rare. That again will make the price tag for it rather high. So you would change the outfit several times during a saga. Either through damage from fights or if the story just makes it so that you will have to change outfit;)

Oooorrrrr.......we can leave all that up to the programmed CPU like last time. But yeah now that I think about it buying outfits wouldnt be half bad. Each character should also get jopke costumes like in other anime games. But I have to disagree with dboy's suggestion of interchangable costumes for that seems to much like fan fic to me. You can do that all you want if we get the character maker feature.

I hated 4 or 5 Vegetas. They should just make the one with the different costumes. And with a capsule system it will allow you to equip his moves from a particular saga if you wanted.

Okay, Honestly, with vegeta, his move list is pretty vague. In the show, when did he ever fire a galick gun? when he first appeared? Other than Final flash, and Big bang attack, which were only used, like...twice each, what moves does vegeta really have?
I really had no problem with the different vegetas this time. When I "moved up a vegeta" I actually felt like I had progressed in "power".
On the other hand, I just flat dont like vegeta too much.

No, it should not. It should look like in Budokai 3, only being completely destuctible. Those envoirments in T2 are sluggish and unfocused. There are more or less none objects and the entire enviorment is the same freaking color. Not good at all.

yeah iguess and remember wen you kick some one hard or use a kamehameha on your opponent it sent them through a cutscene and they got knocked through things like rocks and stuff this is how it should be in the new game except you get to controll it and the moves chould be a lot bigger like the spirit bomb it looks tiny in t2 it should look like the spirit bomb in the buu saga coclusion in t2 that was a huge spirit bomb in the game but it made the ingame spirit bomb look like a joke

Kamicolo....how come with your idea you want to lower everyone's powerlevel and make the maximum 1,000,000?
Why not keep it realistic to the show?
Frieza's powerlevel there should be about 5,000,000.
If you're worried about it taking too long to raise your powerlevel then remember that your powerlevel should rise more rapidly as it increases just like the show.

Yep I agree. Once you've done the required task in the story mode it should be available in Capsule Shop.
Just a note on the Yadrit Outfit. Goku should only wear it once when he's testing his power against Trunks. You should have to get a perfect in that fight and then you are able to get the Yadrit outfit.
So you see rare costumes like these are hard to get. Requiring perfects, or beaten with certain amount of time. But also, price-wise, it should be more too. Say, if a normal costume was 30,000 zeni, the Yadrit outfit would be 70,000 zeni.

They're not going to put exact powerlevels from the show. If they did, think about the total imbalance there would be between characters.
And what about Goku. His powerlevel changes through the anime, so does everyones, so Vegeta should be no different from them, just one character, with the different costumes.
Just saw your comment there Zellgadis. It's not an actual power level, it's just a level, like in the T2 where it ranged from 8 - 160, or whatever it was, but this time it has a more DBZ feel. Having actual powerlevels would throw everything out of balance completely.
Weaker characters should have a disadvantage over stronger characters, but once you level them up, they can be as strong as anyone else.

The game is almost perfect as is but i can see a few areas that need some work and maybe an option that will make it alot more fun for the fans
#1 you need to alow more dircet cusomisation to the charactors IE Move lists need to be edited a bit so you can have the moves you want for each transformation and give more room for the capsuls in the move list not just 7 "i think we all get the 7 thing by now"
CUSTOM CHARACTOR'S PLEASE we have all made our our own DBZ type charactors up im sure it would be cool to flesh them out so to speak i for one would LOVE that !!! transformations allowed lol
Also PLEASE LET US PLAY ONLINE!!!!! This isnt even a sugjestion it is a demand why hasn't it already been done i love the game "2" but i dotn have anyone to play with just cpu ....Weak!
But i love the game i am not bashing it i play it every day since i bought it the day it came out!!!

the ps3 may be 20x more powerful than the ps2 but that's because it has all that bull**** added into it. That's what makes the ps3 seem like it's the greatest of all time when in true reality, it's NOT!!!
Just because Vegeta's special moves are limited doesn't mean he is really bad. I know of people who love Vegeta as a character in DBZ and the games and they can think of better reasons as to why they like him better than you. Come on man, can't you be more self-explanatory? If you play 5 players, the game would be off the charts, but this is a really cool idea. I wonder how playing with 5 players all at once would look in dbz budokai tenkaichi 3.
adding online gameplay shouldn't be a problem at all, but as for the custom characters added into the next gen console, I DON'T agree with this AT ALL!!!!!!!! even though to most dbz fans, it looks cool.

I dont know if anyone has posted this but be able to be bad or good maybe in a choice or destiny mode maybe say you were cell you can attack west city (to be able to destroy whole earth and citys) and have vegeta attack first then the z fighters attack you and if you decide to be good then cell might be involved in kid buu or even start cell back in the sayain saga plus make even goku be able to destroy the universe bad way to win.
Also none of the high speed rush ehh i hated that and the volleys can stay but allitle bit easier to dodge my character took like 5 secs to do kamehameha when the other guy doing his half a sec volley anyone reading this? Oh also the ability to train but not the gruesome 10 day training just to be able to kill radits. If anyone read this tell me if its a good idea?

Thats not likely to happen seeing how half the finishers are rush moves. Just counter it with SSJ3 Goku's energy feild, it wont be as annoying anymore.:up:

if you dash towards him it'll stop it. or you could use a damage field. or even a power block...hold block then hold the energy button with it.

if i know their gonna do it, i just keep tapping L2 and X so that i can at least try to stop them...but yeah, i agree sometimes its a pain. like with videl in the dragon arena mode. but practice and you'll do alright.

i agree, i suggested starting the story mode from dragonball then working all the way through DBZ then into DBGT. also, about multi player, maybe you should be able to get a cable so that you and the second player can use two different screens...for versus and cooperative. the battles should be simultaneous(prolly spelt wrong). when the z-fighters fought the cell jrs it wasn't one after the other, it was all out. they should put in the ability to fight more the one at a time. then add a cooperative play for the story mode...using two tv sets to do it. that would be really cool.

Well...I can't excel my growth rate. And just because I'm 17, doesn't make me any more "dumb" then anybody else. Age doesn't matter when it comes to ideas. And people have said there have been flashbacks of Raditz in great ape. But, if you want to keep dragging this on, you can fight it out with yourself.
Anyway. I think story mode will be really long if instead of going through the whole series in chronological order, each character should have their own story mode, so that there is a lot of story to it. Most characters won't have the full story from DB to GT, and some from the movies will only have 3 or 4, so it's not like playing the whole thing 100 times for every character. But it would be more fun this way because you fight with other characters, learn to use them, learn abilities as you go through their story, and unlock costumes as well. And maybe when you complete 100% of everybody's story mode you can buy a super rare item from the shop, or get a Master Membership card. What about that huh?
And online mode would be cool. You could verse guys over the net. And accessing the PS3 internet is free I think, so people will be insane not to play it. You and a friend could be in your room, versing another 2 friends somewhere else in the world. And you as a user should have a power level, or experience level so you can keep training to be the strongest.

what id like to see in bt3 is a better custom character system. building the characters experience like in budokai 3, i like the set moves for each character like the bt2. but what iv been waiting for is custom cloting, not heaps of sets on costumes but custom (meaning anything on anyone). through the sagas we so the z fighters change there styles, id like to see all these costumes available for any of the characters to wear. maybe not for all characters, but for the z fighters, especially the saiyans, cos seeing someone like cell with clothes on would be wierd, and let face it people only use the saiyans when they play, so give them a bit more variety. some examples of costumes are: saiyan armour (all styles), namekian battle cothes (including weighted and without weights), gokus atire (training clothes, yardrat atire), trunk's capsule corp clothes, the black tights and white gloves and boots gohan wore when fighting Dabura, and even just mix and match tops and bottoms wouls be awesome, also no tops. thats what id like to see most in bt3.
id also like the see king vegeta added to the roster of characters, thanks.

If anybody has B3 and now T2, do you guys notice that Omega Shenron has gotten a little worse.
His Whirlwind Spin is gone. I don't know if it was a made up move for Budokai 3, but it was awesome. Dragon Thunder could have been kept the same as B3 as well. They were some new inventive moves and were quite good. I'd like to see him retain those moves on the next Tenkaichi. As well as when he makes the Minus Power Energy Ball, the beams of light shoot out of his chest and you can charge up the ball and then shoot it.
But Minus Power Energy Ball is alright since it's pretty fast and undodgable. But charging it up would be nice.

I would love to have an rpg like story mode, that you start when Goku first meets Bulma and ends when he leaves with Shenron. I think the characters should level up on their own and gain experience, and they learn moves overtime, instead of having them all at once. I think they should make more characters in the cutscenes. For instance, Bulma was an important character, but she was never seen in BT2. Have more speaking time as well as more battles that happened in the show. Put battles in against the lesser characters like Manwolf, etc. But don't make them unlockable characters. because no one would use them anyway. In other words just make the game exactly like the anime, but you play it.
There should also be more unlockable characters, alternative outfits, and areas like the Tree of Might, or Janemba's World. And I created my own new character list and I got about 160 characters all together with tranformations and fusions. So that be nice with that many. Also, with that many characters, I don't think it would be necessary for a custom character, I just don't think it would be a great idea.

Yeah i just got done watching your last vid its great it would be awesome to do that in the new game you also gave me an idea on tag team if the battles wer at the same time like having a 2on1 but all of the guys are on the battle field at the same time you could have team moves like one guy grabs the opponent from behind and the other punch him in the stomach and there could be a way for the opponent to dodge like wat bardock did wen the guy punched his own partner in the back you could also do that double team move that goku and vegeta did inside of buu it was like a galic gun kamehameha

Hi i think that if bt3 is going to be successful it will need a much longer story mode and much more "what if" sagas instead of just the 3 on bt2 however the raditz and zarbon "what if" sagas were exellant but the Majin Buu 1 just sucked. Here is a list of many possible "what if" sagas:
Raditz survived Picollo's special beam cannon.
Vegeta is killed on planet earth by Goku (when he comes with Nappa).
Bardock escapes planet Vegeta and comes to earth for Goku.
Recoome kills Vegeta, Krillin and Gohan before Goku arrives on Namek.
Vegeta turns super saiyan before Goku .
Goku is killed by Frieza's death beam resulting in Gohan becoming the 1st super saiyan.
Goku is killed on Namek ( which he should have been- that was suppose to be the end of dragonball z).
Cell absorbs Krillin instead of andriod #18.
Cell is destroyed by ultra super Trunks.
Majin Buu doesnt get resurrected, resulting in Majin Vegeta to become the main villian, once again.
Goku and Gohan fuse, creating Gokhan.
Buu absorbs Goku instead of Gohan forcing the fusion between Gohan and Vegeta, Vegetan.
After the death of Kid Buu, Goku hits his head and becomes Kakarot again and he faces the Z fighters (either with or against vegeta).
They should start the story mode from Dragonball not Dragonballz. Also the should learn moves as the game pogresses because it is stupid being able to se Gokus Spirit Bomb on Raditz before he has even been to the other dimension and trained with King Kai. Power level should be a major factor on this game, this is because if on bt2 you face Hercule with Buu, Buu's strongest attack (not custom) won't kill Hercule despite the fact Hercule would be totally obliterated by the blast as 1 punch should KO him on bt3. Also you should be able to increase your power level by using a certain control causing the character to scream.
There should be more than just 2 characters in a battle during a tag match, like when Tien, Piccollo, Krillin and Gohan face Nappa. This will bring a whole new aspect to the game however Nappa would have to be extremely strong and the Z fighters extremely weak and during this battle you should be able to command the COM to either defend, attack ect... Also NO boundaries in an arena you should be able to fight on the whole of the planet you are on.
Another good improvement the should have is to be able to follow a character to their end (if Frieza, Cell, ect) or until they finish fighting (Goku, Gohan, ect) without playing as any other characters. The leveling up system needs to be fixed as you start at level 1 and grow 1 level at a time but when you grow a level you can put exp points on a chosen attribute ( attack, defence, blast 1, ect).
Finally i think they should have much more characters, "what if " characters like Majin Goku or tiemcha and the ability to make a custom characters and have him fight in the story sags, whether he be Namekian, Saiyan, Human, ect.

They're not going to put exact powerlevels from the show. If they did, think about the total imbalance there would be between characters.
And what about Goku. His powerlevel changes through the anime, so does everyones, so Vegeta should be no different from them, just one character, with the different costumes.
Just saw your comment there Zellgadis. It's not an actual power level, it's just a level, like in the T2 where it ranged from 8 - 160, or whatever it was, but this time it has a more DBZ feel. Having actual powerlevels would throw everything out of balance completely.
One little thing in T2 when saibamen against vegeta you felt the differrence
but when both costume it depended on the skills of the player himself.
when you do pl you can have a great differrence when you choose normal
but when you trained them, then you can take away the difference

id like to see a lot more RPG elements in this game. My favourite games are the grand theft auto games and something like that combined with the Dragonball story would be amazing!!! so just give Rockstar games a call or something lol :) i repeat "AMAZING"!!! and story mode right through dragonball, DBZ, and GT cos im hearing a lot of requests to make it longer. also id like to see Jr goku and Jr Vegeta, the 2 u see fighting at the world martial arts tournament at the end of GT when u see old Pan. i can also see a lot of 'what if' stories involving those 2, heck just make a new series starting fresh with those 2, not a game but new animae series, just a suggestion :) thanks

the androids should have a constantly full power up bar, in the show they had unlimited energy, they never had to recharge thats what made then such a threat in the show but in the game its what makes them even worse than every 1 else having to recharge at such a slow rate. thanks

don't get me wrong...i like the fact that the saiyans can transform. but your saying we might have seen raditz in great ape form...but that still leaves nappa and turles. i'm done arguing i'm just saying don't shoot down a whatif idea then turn around and support another.

That might be realistic to the show but in terms of gameplay it would be cheap, them being able to fire off B2's and UB's one after another. I like how they are now. Personally I prefer them more than anyone else because they're energy recharges automatically, so I don't have think about it. I use mostly melee combat so I always have full energy. The androids are my favorite characters.

Having 2 goku's, one with kaiokens and one with SSJs wouldn't be right. There should just be one, and you should be able to equip different levels of kaioken as you go through the game. You start with x2, x3, x4, x10. However, Kaioken should just give you a burst of stats and you charge at your opponent and you can pinball them around. It shouldn't be an attack.
Then in Super Saiyan or any bigger transformations, it turns to Super Kaioken. That would be much better in my opinion.
And Androids having full energy would be realistic, but yeah, you can't have that in a game. They'd be unstoppable. Maybe if energy went like this.

When you use ki energy, the yellow bar goes down.

Then when you spend all your yellow bar, is starts eating at your red bar underneath, lets call this the MAX Ki.
You can power up your yellow bar at all times, but it can never power up over your MAX Ki. So if you spend some of your MAX Ki underneath...

...then that's the MAX you can power up to.
The MAX Ki will recharge over time on its own.
Then basically, once you spend all your MAX Ki, it starts eating at your health until you obviously die.
Using a whole tonne of Ki attacks in one go will fatigue your fighter, so you have to watch out.
With Androids, their MAX Ki could never run out and start hurting their health. Their MAX Ki could go to a minimum of 25% or something like that.
This method will allow the realistic use of energy like on the anime, where you have to manage it wisely, but you can use it all if you want to finish an opponent off.
There might be some flaws in this, I know, so it will need to be refined some more.

I am afraid that I do not agree with you this time Kamiccolo. Ki shall simply not affect your life bar. It is the power used to fire off KI based attacks and that is pretty much it. For the androids, well. My problem with them in T2 was that the KI recovered very slowly. Just put up the speed somewhat and problem solved:)
I would rather keep the KI bar system like in Budokai 3. In my opinion, that system were far better than the Tenkaichi 2 system. Here is the reasons:
- You could control your ki a lot better. This is a result of the splitted bars.
- The finishing moves took different amount of KI.
- Teleports became easier to control.
- You did not have to go into max mode.
There are just a few adjustments I would like to make. There were rarely any moves that took above 2 ki bars. I would them to split it up even more, so that you would actually have to use up till 4 ki bars in order to release the strongest moves in the game. There should also be a mode called "Burst mode" in this mode, your characters stats will raise and you will also get new combos for the character. Special moves can now be performed like super uppercut, tripple rotating spinjumpkick etc. This mode is not required to do any ultimates, but it will make them stronger. Burst mode does however consume ki pretty fast, so you got to attack quickly. After you have done it, you will have to wait 15 seconds before you can do it again.
Oh well, onto the finishing moves. Here is what I think should be the standards:
1 Ki bar: Normal finishing moves, often performed in base mode. Does from 4000 to 6000 damage. Only weak beams and balls.
2 Ki bar: Ki Volley finishing moves, often performed in either base or 1st transformation mode. This is more difficult to dodge, and it therefor also takes about 4000 to 6000 damage.
3 Ki bar: Heavier Ki volley finishing moves, super explosive wave, strong beams like charged Masenko, strong ball attacks like Full Power Ball attack or Big bang Attack and also extreme combo triggers (like in B1 with the Dragon Fist where Goku just keep punching the heck out of the opponent). Those moves will often be chargeable, and most used by 1st and 2nd transformation stages. It will take about 7000 to 9000 damage.
4 Ki bar: Now this is for the most powerful moves in the game. Not all characters will have these moves at all. These goes for Final Flash, Kamehameha X10, Final Shine, Ultra Kamehameha (SSJ3 Goku) etc. These moves will take from 10 000 to 13 000 damage.
5 Ki bar: Ultimates only. No matter how strong the ultimates are. This will take everything above 15 000 damage (except for weakest characters like Hercule and Master Roshi). The strongest ultimates delivering over 25 000 damage will however not go into this category.
7 Ki bar: Strongest Ultimates only. Very few of those, but there are some like; Spirit Bomb, Final Explosion, Big Bang Kamehameha X100 and so on. Those will take 25 000+ damage.
Note: In Budokai 3 you were actually able to remember the difference in damage when you did a combo. I think the reason for that is that the moves took a lot less damage at the scale. UB moves did not take 25 000, they took 2 500. I would like to get that system back, so the set-up above was just to not make any confusion. You simply takes away one "0" at the end of the move;)

Well, you got to remember that it will take more time to charge up 1 bar in T3 than charging 1 bar in T2. I think that 1 bar equals about 2 T2 ki bars. By having 2500 instead of 25 000 you will be able to much more easy control your combos and find out which ones are the best. In T2 you do basically not care about the number since it is that high anyway. I do not think that it will reduce the "destroying your opponent" feeling as the opponent still lose just as much life at the health bar. Just with some easier to read off numbers :)

I would like to see a more of a MMOG or what not or part of the game to be MMO. There would have to be max lvls but with items you can get an edge. To get stronger and what not you would have to train to raise your power level, strg, ki, attacks, defence, exc. You could learn new attacks so at first you would only have a few. Training could be many things such as killing things, lifting, sparring, punching a punching bag and so on. Also Missions could be made and also have the story mode to go with it. You get awarded with zeni and stats or experience. You could also do these missions with other players online.
The fighting and stuff is great how it is on BT3 but i think there should be a few more ways to dodge and block attacks. Make worlds to explore and other planets. You can beable to fly around and run in the world and have spaceships to take you to other planets like in the show. Make it so more then one character can fight in a battle so like 1vs2 or 2 vs 2 are fighting all at the same time. Which would go along with the co-op and just fighting with your buddies against others.
Make it so you can make a custom charecter so you can look how you want to and not just charecters from the show. You can also equip clothing and things so you also have an outfit you like. Weapons would be another thing to add if you really would want one.
I would really like to see co-op missions and stuff though. What ever console it is for if it is the playstation version or the Wii have it so you can save any character and load them. So if a friend comes over and you play it together they can save there character and play it later.
This could get very detailed but at the moment I dont have the time but will work on it if anyone likes the idea. Ive always wanted a online DBZ game. Ive played on many RPGs which really isnt much fun since theres no graphics. Ive also played on byond which there are several Online DBZ games but cant get really detailed sinceit is only a 2D game and not enough there to make it awsome. You could take many ideas from them and other online games to make this work. The possibilities could be limitless. I think many people would play it and looking at how many people play those RPGs and those little 2D games you can make on byond. Atari should really make one of these DBZ games MMOG.
I also know probly everyhing is all over on this post but i realy didnt plan it all out before i started i just taught of things and put it down. If anyone would like a better post i can work on one and more detailed.

Just got an idea,
We need to be able to have an option to remove the HUD, pause a game and make it into a wall paper for our PS3, have accurate character avatars in the char. select screen, and fix the nose of the kids in the game. The kids dont have noses like the adults but rather inverted "c" shaped noses

After seeing allot of these DBZ games roll by, I decided to paint two pictures of what I think would make the perfect DBZ games for me.
1. Dragon Ball Z World
Features:
*Freeform moving and fighting like the Tenchaichi series only without world limit boundaries.
*Budokai 3 + Tenchaichi 2 style fighting engine still cell shaded.
*Open world terrain generation, exploration, and destruction. The terrain would be generated based on a map from Atari of the world and as you fly, the terrain is developed, similar to GTA or Oblivion. When big attacks like a Final Flash or Spirt Bombs are performed, if you're in a big city area, it totally obliterates that section of the city not the entire city. If you do it at the same spot, the hole gets bigger, kind of like what Tien did to Cell. Same goes for country areas except lush country areas turn into deserts.
*Terrain incremental destruction and crumple (kind of like the terrain from Worms 3D and Full Auto put together)
*Quest Missions and side quest missions.
*The ability to explore almost every part of the world (similar to Elders Scroll Oblivion)
including buildings, caves, and cities.
*Everybody is in it
*Voice Acting
*Side animation cut scenes
*Some but not excessive What if content (Napa as a Super Sayajin lol)
(*Mature Content: The ability to rip off libs when the health level of the competitor gets very low)
*The story would be as or almost as intuitive as the show. Every cut scene and event is present and you have the ability to reenact them (Hiding from Vegeta to protect the Dragon Ball, getting Raditz in the line of fire (wow original right? lol), ect, or distort them for fun (like being Zarbon and pissing off Freeza or something lol).
Platforms:
PS3 and XBOX360 (if possible... lol)
2. Dragon Ball Evolution
Story backbone (not full. If you want to pitch in and help then go ahead lol):
Years have passed since the GT series and the heroes of earth have died. However the blood of these great fighters still run strong amongst their decedents. Goku, son of Pan (I think that's how it went...or was it Grandma Pan? W.E.) sets out for the Dragon Balls (for what ever reason...mabe some great evil is afoot and about to resorect this ancient evil from the past, not from the DBZ erra though). However, Goku is warned that others will also be looking for the Dragon Balls. That person is you. As a member of the DB world, you have the ability to hunt down the Dragon Balls and decide as you go where you'd like to stand. As a person who wants the Dragon Balls to fight against the oncoming evil, join the evil and fight off the do gooders (Goku and a new Z fighters team (not all characters look exactly like the old ones), or use the dragon balls for yourself.
Features:
*Alot of the same aspects above
*The ability to create your own Z fighter
*Create there attacks
*Through Atari's online server, bring your character online and play the story or just battle each other.
*With online transfer similar to what they did for THUGS (Tony Hawks Under Ground), be able to transfer voice samples to your sytem (or just through the XBox Headset) to sample with your attacks or use prebuilt samples.
That took some time. But wanted to share. Was fun. Let me know if you like it.

the passage and its ideas were flawless but wat if you could create your own character? if u could generate the body, hair, race, attributes, moves, powerups, you know, the usual stuff. wat if u could clone a character just to make him/her look better? what if u could fuse certain characters with others to make a new one? and if u were to create a character, would u be able to edit his body along with the forms he can transform into?

---Online Play.. too be honest i really wouldn't be too bothered if this didnt make an appearance as i prefer sittin around and picking apart my friends but a lot of people don't have the luxury of friends that are actually worthy of a challenge or that prefer a good DBZ game over another.

My theory is...
Characters are seperated into 2 Categories. Class A and Class B. Neither character classes can peform tasks the other cannot, However Characters of Class A can peform these same tasks more effectively while characters of class B can peform them more efficiently.
for example lets say the cutoff point for Class A characters would be Super Perfect Cell / Super Saiyan 2 Adult Gohan (Buu Saga ). Meaning everyone stronger would also be Class A whilst everyone weaker would be class B.
Class A characters would have a 05-25% increase on stats such as Strength, Defense, etc.. depending on how much stronger they are. For example Super Saiyan 2 Goku may have a 05% attack increase over Class B's Super Saiyan Goku, while Super Saiyan 3 would have a 10% increase, Super Saiyan 4 Goku a 20% increase and SSJ Gogeta/ SSJ Vegetto a 25% increase.
In the same fashion stronger characters from Class B would have attribute boosts over the weaker characters of class B. e.g. Frieza would have an attack level 5% weaker than Super Saiyan Goku, while Base Goku would have an attack 10% weaker of course someone like Hercule would then have one 25% weaker.
Now while Class A characters may be able to deal more damage Class B characters would be able to do the same type of move. It will deal less damage but it will also consume less energy. Thats pretty much how it is now but other advantages would also be implicated with additional features as i will explain later.
---Reworked Attributes and Levelling up system. This is DBZ after all so there really should only be one levelling up system and that should be power levels. quite obviously this should depend entirely on your characters attributes. My theory is as follows.
Health - Every character starts off with either 2-3 Health Bars if they are of Class B and 3-4 Health Bars if they are Class A. Each Health bar is exactly 10,000 units of damage. For every level of Health you gain your overall Health will increase by 1000 units of damage i.e. 1/10 of a Health Bar. Therefore for every 10 levels of Health you gain, you will recieve an extra Health bar and so on and so forth.. The Maximum Health Level would be 100, meaning an extra 10 Health bars or 100,000 Damage. (Fusion characters would of course be able to exceed this maximum)
Ki - Ki usage would become far far more important as it would work much like Health. Instead of small energy bars it would be one complete bar just like Health. Each bar also containing 10,000 units of energy. Again Class B characters will start with 2-3 complete bars while Class A will have 3-4. However Ki will not be able to be regenerated and once it is all used up there will be next to nothing. Also like Health when your Ki level increases you will have much more ki bars available to you. Every action will require Ki to perform except basic melee, Transformations will also require certain levels of Ki to maintain. The only exceptions will be permanent transformations such as Frieza's alternate forms or Bojacks etc.. Of course there will be many support capsules that will make Ki consumption much more easier to manage. (again fusion characters would be able to exceed the maximums.)
(Speed) A New feature i would like to see would be "Reaction Time" This would work sorta like 'wild sense' where you would consume a single blast 1 counter. and whenever your opponent used a Blast 2 or Ultimate Blast it would come into effect.
(It would also replace B2/UB teleport evasion as i found that insanely flawed. you spent all your energy performing your UB and your opponent evades it effortless with the push of a single button= not fair)
Anway depending on your characters speed level you will be given a specific amount of time to react to your opponents blast 2/ Ultimate Blast, whether evading, countering, deflecting or simply guarding. For example lets say the default reaction time for Class B characters was slightly less than 1 second, for arguments sake we'll make it 0.9 seconds while the default reaction time for Class A characters would be 1.1 seconds. For every level of speed you gained this reaction time would increase by 0.1 seconds or 1/10 of a second.
Scenario One. Class B Super Saiyan Goku has a speed level of 40 giving him a reaction time of just under 5 seconds. If a character peformed an ultimate blast on Goku Goku's reaction time would activate and the attack would be peformed in slo-motion allowing Goku his exact reaction time (4.9 seconds) before the blast hit. Thus the greater reaction time the easier it becomes to either counter or evade an attack.
However this may also work offensively if you or your opponent choose too. By activating your Reaction time before peforming an attack you can reduce your opponents Reaction time to as little as the default Reaction time.
Scenario 2: Class B Super Saiyan Goku has a speed of 40 and is faced with an attack from Class B Super Saiyan Gohan. Ordinarily Goku would have a 4.9 second reaction time however Gohan also activates his Reaction time ability before his attack. Since Gohan has a speed of 45. Goku loses 40 levels of speed returning his reaction time to the Class B default of 0.9 seconds.
If the situation was reversed however and Goku attacked Gohan, Gohans speed would be reduced to 05 and his reaction time would only be 1.4 seconds. as oppossed to 5.4 seconds.
Rather than both characters maintaining the same reaction speed the speed levels cancel each other out and the lower speed would revert back to the default reaction time while the greater would keep only the difference between speeds . (hope thats easy to understand.)
Max Power Mode- max power mode would need reworking.. some kind of stealth max power mode would be an advantage where maybe it only appeared once you were 50% into it. Again Class A would have a longer period of time in max power mode than Class B but not so much that they were godly.

But not everyone got a 60" plasma TV. But that is not a problem.. Why do people think that you need a megascreen to fit in 4 players at the screen:bored: Haven't you ever played 4 player on a racing game?:confused:

I will say this for the first time, but probably not the last. Use a pencil or a computer to do this:bulb: it is not required to be in the game. It would only be unneeded filler.

This is as far I can see, your only original idea. I am not sure I agree 100% with it though. Wouldn't it been better if they just put raised stats at the transformations, or if someone is in base mode, but very strong. Increase the stats somewhat. Same goes for fusion. I think it should be separated into 3 stats:
- Attack
- Speed
- Ki
So for Goku...
Base: 100% speed, 100 % attack, 100% ki
SSJ: 105% speed, 105% attack, 100% ki
SSJ2: 110% speed, 115% attack, 90% ki
SSJ3: 115% speed, 125% attack, 70% ki
SSJ4: 125% speed, 140% attack, 90% ki

There should be lots more levels, and twice as big as they already are, with big open areas, and then other places where players can hide in. And the ceilings should be really high so that you can fight in the clouds. And every level should have its own destroyed level.
Terrain should effect speed and other things when fighting for example
When underwater fighting should not be as fast as it is on the land-- it should be slower---way slower and would be difficult to fight and when u use a kamehameha or something underwater-- water should come up like a bomb hit underwater and it would splash everywhere (and if u use a spirit bomb where the water is or some other attack u should be able to get rid of all the water in that area and make it a lil crater or something u know what i mean)
When in the desert it should be a little hard to run and kick and when u kick sand should come up and you should be able to blind the opponent with the sand that is kicked up.
A Wider area Huge area is a definite plus.
How about being able to go inside the buildings that you see whether in planet namek or in the city-- you should be able to go in there and hide if needed and be able to find some heath upgrades or something and while in their you may sense your opponents **POWER LEVEL** or presence (as well as the opponent) and be able to throw a surprise ki attack the opponent and he wouldnt know what hit him. You should also be able to fight in there as well (for example going into a 6 story building and fighting and stuff--but you could just shoot it down if you'd like)

Create a Character:
Race: Ability to choose your race. There should be the following available: Saiyan,Human,Namek,Alien (meaning general types like the many henchmen you see serving Freeza in the anime), saibamen and android.
Gender: Pretty much self explanatory.If need to explain,Male/Female
Clothing: Let's you from 1 to 3 costumes you may swap between.
Colour: Edit eye, hair, clothing, skin, energy, and aura colour (note: you can edit your special attack colours separately).
Face/Body/Hair: Edit your face, build, body, and hairstyle.
Size: Whether you're a shrimp like baldy or a gorilla like Nappa.
Moves: Edit you attack list. You might've trained with Roshi and have the Kamehameha, or you might be Freeza's personal body guard and have learnt some of his moves ´such as Death Beam.
Style: This is just some misc options, such as how you walk, your battle stance, your pre battle animation (you may set this differently for different characters. Or select several from a list and choose which one to use before battle), what winning animation is used, and etcetera.
Transformation: What transformations you can perform. This is limited by race.(EX:Saiyan:SSj1,SSj2 and So on,Namek,Big,Fused,so on.)
Voice: Record several different lines of speech for; pre battle, victory, loss, being hit hard, using a super attack (such as you would generaly say "KA-ME-HA-ME-HA!!!" for the kamehameha), and etcetera.
Biography: Write your own background.
Create a Saga:
1. Select a map the story takes place in (aka: namek or earth).
2. Place all the secrets across the map (aka: little star thingies.) and any cut scenes you want for that particular event.
3. Place all the main story events (Red dots) across the map.
4. Make the cutscenes for your story events, secret events, and others (how to make them is described below.).
5. Edit other features such as fights in the story event or random encountery thing.
Create a cut-scene:
1. You go into cut scene making mode.
2. You select the character you want to speak first. Or you select the "Narrator", which is either a either a sound effect (like the ones in budokai 3), or a speech bubble with the text the narrator says. (Skip to "5" if you picked 'Narrator', or "6" if you picked 'Sound effect'.)
3. You choose the expression of the character (meaning happy, scared, hurt, angry, etcetera).
4. You pick the type of speech bubble used (meaning shouting, whispering, normal or thought).
5. You input the text that the character/narrator says.
6. You put in the sound effect or speech that you desire. (optional)
7. Choose what will happen after the speech/sound is ‘X’ed (meaning the player presses the X button to get the next text/sound/fight.). Out of: another person speaking, a sound effect, narration, conversation end, or a fight starts.
8. You repeat the process if you picked speech, narration or sound effect, and you put in the fight you want if you picked fight. If you end the conversation there you may go back and edit any details you want changed or save it and leave (saving it is optional).
Modes:
Put mini-game modes,and modes that unlock stuff,there should be a mode where you do the story by using villains,EX:
Raditz VS Goku and see what happens if villains would win.
Story
The story mode on Tenkaichi 2 looked like there was no effort put into making it at all.
The RPG side of it was good, but I'd like to see every character having their own story mode, whether they only have five to eight battles, or (Goku) probably having something near fifty. If a character only battles once or twice, like Zarbon or Android #19, make them some extra battles that would actually fit into the story. For instance, Zarbon could fight some of the Namekians before fighting Vegeta, or #19 could fight Dr. Gero as testing of his modifications.
Also, I'd like to see every battle introduced and exited by a clip from the acutal show. Like when Vegeta fights #18, it can explain that Vegeta chased after the Androids, and then show a bit of their discussion and they start the fight, then to end it off, Vegeta is cast aside by #18 easily.
Different character's story modes should be unlocked when you get that character through somebody elses story mode.
And one final word on characters. There does not need to be 50 Vegetas on BT3.
And put on every fight,but no generic people without names on the game.
Customization:
In BT3 I'd really like to see the customization system change. I'd like to see the capsule system return for their attacks, like on BT3. However, there could be some alterations. Every character could have 5 -7 slots (depending on character - ones with most attacks, like goku, will have 7. Others like Nail, would have 5) for attacks and abilities. The abilities explained in next section. Then, each character should have 1 - 2 slots for special enhancements. These would be a really cool idea I think. For instance:
Saiyan Blood - Stats increase as health is restored (Saiyans only)
Regeneration - Health restores at a steadier rate (Namekians, Cell, Majin Buus)
Survival - Abilities do not decrease under water (Frieza, Cooler, King Cold)
Immortality - Can only be KO'd with Finishing and Ultimate Moves (Garlic Jr)
etc...
Different characters would have different abilities. Some might have not real special ability unique to them, and would have to equip generic abilities such as Attack +5 etc...
Leveling Up
I'd like to see characters level up during story mode and training modes and other special modes. But not like previousely before.
Why not incorperate the actual sense of power levels from the actual show. So instead of Lv 1 - 99, why not Power Levels of 10 000 - 99 000. It would be the same thing, but it would make the game feel a lot more like the show. Each character would start at a different power level to begin with, for instance. Krillin starts at 5 000, and Goku starts at 10 000, and Cell starts at 18 000, and Broly starts at 28 000. This would mean characters would be a little stronger than others like in the actual show, that is of course unless you train lower characters up alot. Also, the higher power level characters are obtained later in the game of course, so by the time you unlock them, your character has levelled up a little.
I also liked the way characters level up from an old DBZ game. Remember this one guys, Dragonball GT Final Bout. If you've ever played it, it has a Build Up system where your characters stats increase depending on what they do in battle. So if you punch a lot, your punches get stronger. If you power up a lot, you can power up a lot quicker. Of course, by the time you just keep doing the same punch right to the end of the game, you can kill them with one punch. It shouldn't get as drastic as that, but the stats should be there and they should increase. The different stats should be able to reach 999, and when all of them add up, they should all equate to the overall power level of the character.
Abilities
First problem. I don't like the way the abilities are on Tenkaichi 1 or 2. It's too much of a limit to have only 2 attacks and 2 special abilities and 1 ultimate attack. On Budokai 1 -3, it was awesome because each character had the number of moves that they needed. On this, they are too limited, and abilities they use on the show are left out in the game. For instance, Goku didn't have Solar Flare in BT2, and Vegeta alternates from having Final Flash and Big Bang every transformation.
In BT3,I'd like to see each character have the number of abilities that they actually have on the shows. When you first play the game, the characters should have the abilities they start with, and when you play through their story mode and level them up, they should learn new attacks. For instance. Goku starts out with Kamehameha and Solar Flare, and then he learns Kaioken and Spirit Bomb when he trains with King Kai, Instant Transmission when he comes back from Yadratt, Warp Kamehameha when he comes out of the Time Chamber, etc.
About Power lvl's:
I'd like to see the restoration of the old capsule system, and gain the capsules instead of permanently learning the attack. If with capsules, they would be able to customize their character. That's part of the fun of it.
Then, instead of everybody having a volley or a rush, the rushes and volleys should also come in the form of capsules, for instance: Energy Wave, Power Volley, Full Power Volley, Energy Barrage, High Speed Rush, etc. And they're all different like:
Energy Volley - Requires 1 energy bar. Light damage. Quick succession.
Power Energy Volley- Requires 2 energy bars. Medium damage. Quicker succession.
Full Power Energy Volley - Requires 3 energy bars. Heavy damage. Quickest succession.
Energy Barrage - Requires 1 energy bar. Light damage. Loose homing in.
Power Energy Barrage - Requires 2 energy bars. Medium damage. Medium homing in.
Full Power Energy Barrage - Requires 3 energy bars. Heavy damage. Tight homing in.
Energy Wave - Requires 1 energy bar. Light damage.
Power Energy Wave - Requires 2 energy bars. Medium damage.
Full Power Energy Wave - Requires 3 energy bars. Heavy damage.
Energy Blast - Requires 1 energy bar. Light damage. Small radius.
Power Energy Blast - Requires 2 energy bars. Medium damage. Medium radius.
Full Power Energy Blast - Requires 3 energy bars. Heavy damage. Large radius.
etc...
And to equip all capsules to characters, it should require that they be a certain power level. So, for instance:
Energy Wave - Power Lv. 5 000^
Power Energy Wave - Power Lv. 30 000^
Full Power Energy Wave - Power Lv. 60 000^
Kamehameha - Power Lv. 10 000^
Super Kamehameha - Power Lv. 30 000^
x10 Kamehameha - Power Lv. 60 000^
So, the same with character's signature abilities.
I think all characters should have a power level (not representing any actual power level in the show). So, Goku would start out (for example) with a power level of 120 000. And Krillin would start out at a power level of 90 000. Frieza - 160 000, Cell - 200 000, Buu - 270 000, Omega Shenron - 400 000. Or something like that.
Each character starts out with a different base level (very lightly based on their strength on the show compared to other characters, giving them slight advantages over weaker characters.
When you train your characters their power levels will rise as they get stronger (to a maximum of 1,000,000 over a long time)
The stronger characters get unlocked later on in the game, so that makes up for the training the weaker characters got at the start of the game. After characters get trained, they will be stronger than other characters will lower power levels.
Each character will have a different balance of stat levels.
Here is how the stats should be based.
POWER LEVEL - (is an equation of all the stats below)
Health - stat controlling amount of health
Ki - stat controlling amount of energy
Technique - stat controlling speed which the tech bar fills up (tech acts as blast 1 bar)
Transform - stat controlling speed of which transform bar fills (how soon can transform, how fast it recovers)
Regeneration - stat controlling speed of which health and energy recovers
Strength - stat controlling influence on physical attacks
Power - stat controlling influence on ki based attacks
Defence - stat controlling influence on defense against physical attacks
Resistance - stat controlling influence on defence against ki based attacks
Speed - stat controlling influence on overall speed
Charge - stat controlling speed of which ki is gathered
Evade - stat controlling ability to evade attacks
Ability - stat controlling effectiveness of abilities (solar flare, afterimage...etc.)
Blast - stat controlling effectiveness of finishing moves (kamehameha etc..)
Ultimate - stat controlling effectiveness of ultimate moves (spirit bomb, big bang attack etc...)
Training- stat controlling how fast the character is able to level up. This stat can only be changed by capsules put on the character which raise it.
The max of each stat is 62,500. So they all of them maxed out would equate to the max overall Power Level being 1,000,000.
Training a character to 1 000 000 should get harder as they get stronger. And take a long time.
When a character is selected in Vs mode etc. You should be able to select either "Normal" - character with base stats. "Custom" - Character with trained stats".
Stats like these would give the game a sense of reality towards the Dragonball Z anime, and make the game worth playing for prolonged time to train your characters. And characters' base levels are stronger than characters from earlier in the anime so they are a little bit stronger to adhere to the Dragonball timeline.
So in summary:
Characters learn abilities through capsules equipped
Characters gain these capsules by playing through their own stories
Capsules can be equipped depending on the character's Power Lv.
Capsule System:
Ability - Unique capsules like Kamehameha and Death Ball, to generic capsules that anybody can equip (for those with few attacks) like Energy Volley.
Transformations - Capsules containing transformations and fusions, like SS, SS2 and Potara Fusion.
Enhancements - Capsules with unique enhancements such as Saiyan Blood (stronger when HP restored) and Survival (HP and stats are not hindered underwater - for frieza family), and then the generic enhancements like Attack +2 or Senzu Bean or Halo...
For example, Goku has 7 ability slots because he has a lot of abilities, and 5 transformations slots because he has a lot of transformations, and 2 enhancement slots.
Goku's Capsule Slots:

But he also has fusions that wont fit unless he customizes and plays around with what he likes on him best,Golden Oozaru should be a form too,SSj4 capsule's requirement to have Golden Oozaru form.

Different players will have different amounts of slot openings for different types of capsules, depending on how many they have for that area. So Kid Gohan might have only 4 abilities slots, 2 transformation slots, but 4 enhancement slots.
And also, transformations should be like B3 where they don't change your abilities at all, unless like SS4 where it changes kamehameha to x10. And transforming changes your stats.
And just another note. With guys with Oozaru transformations. They should have to have that ability where they put the energy ball in the sky, and use that first and then lock onto it in battle. If players who don't have that attack, like Gohan, then he'll have to rely on the enemy putting it there. Because his only happen by random chance like in the shows.
And if you don't equip the transformation of Oozaru, then they don't have the tail and therefor cannot have a tail unless they have the Oozaru transformation capsule equipped.
About Fighting and moves
Moves should be more explosive and awesome
When in close fighting--countering should be brutal and more violen--intense-- for example -- Block a left punch with the right arm and the camera would close in and you could headbutt him in the head and then shoot some volley shots at him close up and the character would say things like "HEH HEH" or "NICE TRY" but cooler of course just usin an example during the counter as well as taunt -- use your imagination im just sayin
Also when fighting you should be able to weaken a part of the body for example if you continue to pound away on the legs--when the walk they would limp and kicking would be a little slower and pound away on the arms they will punch a little slower.
Give everyone an unique moves,not like every Oozaru having Chou Makou... and moves like Full power energy something should be deleted and make uniques.
Some moves,Stardust Breaker of Gogeta example,put it into cut-scene and still give enemy an change to evade,block or parry.
Sound and Music
The sound is getting better, but is still not quite good.
When beams get fired, the sound only comes once from the player releasing the beam, and then for the rest of the time it is silent. For instance, when the beam flies right past you, it makes no noise, or if it hits the ground, it still makes no noise. There needs to be a lot more explosion and beam noises.
I'd like to see a lot more variety in phrases etc. said by the voice cast.
I'd like to see the music from the shows, full stop.
Transformations
Nice try, but transformations need to be restored from B3. On BT2, they looked really corny and they just changed their moves around.
I'd like to see transformations require the filling up of a transformation bar, and when you transform, the character just transforms right there in the middle of the fight. If they transform really powerfully, like SS4, or Perfect Cell, things around them should break, and rubble should fly around.
Transforming should raise player stats. Trasformations should be equipped to the character as well in the form of capsules, but not in the same area as attacks. Trasnforming should not change moves, but upgrade moves, like Kamehameha. Kamehameha changes to Super Kamehameha at SS2, and to x10 Kamehameha at SS4. Not changes completely. That was silly. Transformations should end when the transformation bar goes to low or something.
For Super Saiyans. Have you ever noticed that when they are just standing there, they have that really blonde hair, and then they go into a sort of angry mode and they turn really gold and are surrounded by the flame. You should be able to do that with the Super Saiyans. They should burst into that mode and they stats get raised a little. Their energy goes down while they are in this stage. They get out of the burst mode when they run out of energy, or when they are forcibaly knocked away.
And I would want ability to choose starting form like in BT2 and Transform mid-battle by rocks floating etc.Nature around you should react differently to your transformations depending on character.
And transformations should go like this:Start gathering Ki...Nature and environment reacts,press R3 and transform when enough Ki and B1 bars have been gathered.
Bring up more realistic environment!!

But just to close off,I can give the developers one final piece of advice. Study the show!!!
Gameplay
I liked how attacks like Kamehameha could be powered up by holding the energy button down. I'd like to see more attacks with the ability to be charged, including: Dodon Ray, Death Beam, etc. So, all the signature beams and energy balls should be powered up at will.
I think also that abilities should be used seamlessly throughout the fights. For instance, on the previous BT games, when attacks are used, it zooms up to show the character. They should just be used, just like when powered up attacks are performed. The fight would be more intense like this.
Ultimate attacks look really rushed on the games, and sometimes they need to be used in a rush. I'd like to see Ultimate attacks incorperated seamlessly in the gameplay like the other moves, but look really powerful. If they are, you'd have to knock the enemy down or have them tired out. Max power mode is too predictable. Ultimate moves need to be usable in a different way. A way that isn't so obvious.
The explosions were lacking on the previous BTs. I'd like to see more explosions, even when they miss the player and hit the ground. They should be big, scatter dirt everywhere, and light up the arena.
Destructables like chunks of rock and buildings should break into different peices. So if you send a beam through a building, it doesn't blow up the whole building, it only blasts away the part that was hit.
I'd like to see different levels of hit aways, you know, like when you charge up your punch more, the longer you send them flying for. I'd like to see three stages of it. Light hit away just knocks them out of range, but they don't fall out of the sky. Medium hit away knocks them back a bit, and if you hit them into anything they smash up against it and rubble flies off, like on the show. Then, the heaviest knockback will send them flying at full speed across the level, flying through everything.
I'd like to see more combos, and that they look more unique for each character. Their movements should be studies on the show, (the technique and the speed and force of them), and then implicated into the game. So the fights contain the same speed and power from the DBZ episodes.
I'd like to see beams and blasts look be destructive. On previous installments of BTs, the smaller beams look seethrough and like they don't contain much punch. Characters should be able to charge them up to different levels and they should throw the beams like they contain a lot of punch.
I'd like to see craters and burn marks appear on the ground and objects.
I'd like to see characters have different levels of damage. It's been good so far on the games. However, the damaged look to each character should look unique. Like, when Dr. Gero gets damaged, he loses the hat, the same for Chaitzu, little Gohan in his dragonball hat outfit...
I'd like to see health and energy recover so slightly during the fight. That way, Saiyans can get stronger as fights drag on.
I also like it when energy attacks use up bars of energy, like 2 bars, or 3 bars.
Ultimate moves should be used
I'd like to see some different game modes as well.
I don't like to see the characters bounce around on the ground when you get smashed down like they are full of air. They should hit and slide, and dust should be kicked up, and you can see the mark in the ground like on B3.
I like how you can fight beams together, but you should be able to fight beams, blasts and barriers together. I really like when you both fly at each other that they do a quick round of punches.
This is a definite must for multiplayer is online play of course and so is something like a 2 vs 2 match or 3 vs 1 match. Not talking about a tag battle or free battle like in BT2 im talking about having 3 people playing at the same time and fighting one dude. I forgot some of the episodes in which this happens but just for example. (Goku and Vegeta fighting Omega shenron at the same time) That is a definite must in this game. I would definitely like to see this and I dont think anyone would disagree with me that this would probably be one of the best features for multiplayer in a DBZ Game and must be implemented for online play as well
Cmon say Frieza, Cooler, and Cell (all at the same time) trying to beat SSJ4 Goku in multiplayer. or 2 vs 2 Freiza and Cooler vs Goku and Vegeta (at the same time i.e. requiring multitap or online play) Once Goku take out cooler him and vegeta goes for freiza or it could be goku just knocks down cooler and leaves him dizzy for a second then goku beats up freiza with vegeta then goes back to cooler . and so forth Yall get the idea.
Another thing to add is for single player.
Remember in BT2 the dragon adventure mode where when u go over a city that you could enter youd have to press x or something to go in. well in bt3 you should just be able to descend in the city with no load screens or nothing, and you would see cars and people as u descend or whatever something like that. and u could do quests and stuff like in legacy of goku and all that. An Rpg style real time fighting game in single player. Be sweet.

The actual characters themselves looked much better on B3. They look blocky and chunky and lifeless on the Tenkaichi series. They move stiffly, like their whole body is one piece. I'd like to see the models redone, and the characters move more realistically, like they do on the show.
What will be needed to T3 compared to T2:
1.Much, much larger maps.
2.Online play.
3.More than two characters on the field at once.
4.Water physics.
5.Grass physics.
6.Transformations that make the ground crack and the grass blow wildly, and etcetera.
7.Better AI.
8.More destructible environment.
9.Explosion damage. Such as if you blast someone with spirit bomb but it misses them by a couple of meters, then they get damaged by the explosion from it.

Do you actually think that there is even 1% chance that they put in all those characters?:downcast: No... that list is simply not good enough. Sure we want every character from Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. But let us just face the fact. Bandai and Spike is not able to make that many characters. They do not have the money, the time or the creativity to make all those characters in less than 3 years. Just think off all the work they have to put in making characters. Voice acting, move lists, combos, special-effects, stats, story mode etc. To be honest. All those characters will never be in Tenkaichi 3 :downcast:We might expect maybe 80 or 90 characters, but you are asking for the doubled number. It simply will not work. We all just got to remember and think about that there is actually people creating those characters. They do with other words not create themselves:)
Stages (night and day to all except Namek and otherworld):
41 Battle Stages
Again. There are 41 stages in total on that list. How should Spike or Bandai possibly make that many stages on such little time? It is next to impossible and highly unrealistic. In shooting-games there are often many rather large places to go. So by taking advantage of the BluRay disc, you could actually fit quite many battle stages in the game. But let us keep it on a realistic level. Here is my suggestion for battle stages:
1. Ancient City – From the Bojack Movie
2. Baba’s Palace – All around the palace and a bit of desert.
3. Big Gete Star – Where they versed Metal Cooler
4. Cell Games Arena – The arena with green fields and place where tournament was observed from.
5. City – A big thick city with really tall buildings. Look at city from Hirudigarn movie.
6. Desert Wasteland – Like where Majin Vegeta and Goku fought.
7. Forest – Where Piccolo fought Cooler’s squad when he used his stretchy arm.
8. Glacier – From the Super Android 13 movie.
9. Hercule’s Tournament (Bojack Movie) – The one with all the different levels.
10. HFIL – Where Goku fought Janemba. Includes spikes and blood pool etc.
11. Highway – Where Vegeta fought Android 18.
12. Hyperbolic Time Chamber – Look more like in anime.
13. Inside Buu – When Vegito was eaten by Super Buu.
14. Kami’s Lookout + Korin’s Tower – The whole length of the tower, top to ground.
15. Master Roshi’s House – The small island where Spice Force fought.
16. Namek – Including a small village and can go up to Guru’s house.
17. New Planet Vegeta – From the Broly movie.
18. Otherworld Tournament – Include the mushroom head guy, the space around the tournament.

These stages are smaller than the other and are used for “Build Up mode” where you can raise your character stats.

King Kai’s Planet – Where Ginyu Force versed Yamcha, Tien, etc.
There should be a lot more levels, and twice as big as they already are, with big open areas, and then other places where players can hide in. And the ceilings should be really high so that you can fight in the clouds. And every level should have its own destroyed level. They should be somewhat bigger, but I think the mainpoint they got to focus on is dragging the objects into the fields. It doesn't matter how large the battle stages are, as long as there is no objects there. Then you would not recognize the different places, but instead just give a damn in the environments. By letting you reach more objects, you can attain a better feeling of the environments. Just look at this picture. You see all the details, which actually makes it fun to look at. The Tenkaichi stages were so empty that it became boring.

Terrain should effect speed and other things when fighting for example:
When underwater fighting should not be as fast as it is on the land-- it should be slower---way slower and would be difficult to fight and when u use a kamehameha or something underwater-- water should come up like a bomb hit underwater and it would splash everywhere (and if u use a spirit bomb where the water is or some other attack u should be able to get rid of all the water in that area and make it a lil crater or something u know what i mean)
When in the desert it should be a little hard to run and kick and when u kick sand should come up and you should be able to blind the opponent with the sand that is kicked up.Very slowly under water. No. Slightly decrease in speed, yes. I also agree on that there should be better water effects. First off all, they need to create an engine that allows the things to get destroyed differently every time. It need to look realistic, even though it is just an anime. Being in the dessert should not affect your stats. There should instead be some special effects like sand tracks, holes in the sand, scratchmarks and also some effects between the character and the sand. That would be great:heart:
A Wider area Huge area is a definite plus.
How about being able to go inside the buildings that you see whether in planet namek or in the city-- you should be able to go in there and hide if needed and be able to find some heath upgrades or something and while in their you may sense your opponents **POWER LEVEL** or presence (as well as the opponent) and be able to throw a surprise ki attack the opponent and he wouldnt know what hit him. You should also be able to fight in there as well (for example going into a 6 story building and fighting and stuff--but you could just shoot it down if you'd like)Well, I think you should only be able to get inside and fight in the larger rooms. Then I mean the center of Tree of Might, falling to the ground from Kami's tower etc. I think it would have been kind of cool to have a "hide-mode" where you got an eye-to-the-battlefield view so that you could watch the environments and throw KI blasts at the opponent. However, if the opponent senses you and destroys the object that your inside, then you would take more damage than usual:)

8 sagasWell, I would like these sagas a lot and I defiantly think they should put them in. However, there would not be that many fights in each saga as some of them only got a few fighters. A lot off it could have been fitted into long and good cutscenes. And cutscenes should of course be just like Budokai 1. And then I mean 90%. The only thing they need to change is.. well, the graphics :) But for the love of God, do not create the cutscenes with the same graphics as it is in-battle.

Summarized: You can make your own what if character.This would of course be a nice feature. I did not want to put nice "little" feature as it actually is pretty big. I would not want this in Tenkaichi 3. Reason? Well, Tenkaichi 3 will be a fighting game. Not a dress-up-doll game. It simply doesn't have any relevance to the game at all:downcast: I think it would be best if they did just make a shop called "Outfit shop" where you could buy different outfits during the game. You would also be able to customize special parts of the clothes, such as boots, wrist-protection, armor etc. But that is really the maximum for how far I would take it:eek:
Create a Saga:
Summarize: How to create a saga.This would only be unnecessary filler in my opinion. They can create what if sagas already before you buy the game. There is no need for such a mode. Creating such what if sagas should remain for the video editing;)
Create a cut-scene:
Summarize: How to create a cutscene.Pretty much the same as above. This is a highly unnecessary feature that would only take time and work for the developing team. Sacrifice this for something else. Something with more important and relevant to the game.
Modes:
Put mini-game modes,and modes that unlock stuff,there should be a mode where you do the story by using villains,EX:
Raditz VS Goku and see what happens if villains would win.The what if sagas should be accessible through completing a saga. Mini-games should be part of a mode like in Budokai 3.
Story
The story mode on Tenkaichi 2 looked like there was no effort put into making it at all. The RPG side of it was good, but I'd like to see every character having their own story mode, whether they only have five to eight battles, or (Goku) probably having something near fifty. If a character only battles once or twice, like Zarbon or Android #19, make them some extra battles that would actually fit into the story. For instance, Zarbon could fight some of the Namekians before fighting Vegeta, or #19 could fight Dr. Gero as testing of his modifications.I think that the story mode should be based off on cutscenes only, just like in Budokai 1. However, it would be nice to also combine the map feature from Budokai 3 which allows you to go around the planet and get to different spots. I think I need to think a bit about this one.
Also, I'd like to see every battle introduced and exited by a clip from the actual show. Like when Vegeta fights #18, it can explain that Vegeta chased after the Androids, and then show a bit of their discussion and they start the fight, then to end it off, Vegeta is cast aside by #18 easily.
Different character's story modes should be unlocked when you get that character through somebody elses story mode.Not clips from the show. But cutscenes, yes indeed. See above for description.
And one final word on characters. There does not need to be 50 Vegetas on BT3.I only see the need of 3 different Vegetas.
1. Sayian Saga (As he must be able to transform into an oozaru)

Okay. I think I will stop there for the moment. There are simply too much to reply on:bulb: I might finish it later though, as I saw that there is quite some big things that needs to get changed. I read everything up til lightning and I just want to say that BT3 should be similar to BT2 except more characters, more punch fighting techniques and better arena effects such as rocks crumbling and all that lightning said. Have all the characters in that ever existed in db, dbz and dbz gt put in BT3! Including - Goku and Vegeta juniors. when Goku and vegeta (original) were kids, all gt androids, all forms and looks of trunks, all forms and looks of Goku, all forms and looks for Gohan and add a few other people such as nail and Vegeta's father so on and so on. Have all the chars from BT2 only add more people, the more chars the better even those who dont really affect the story THAT much. I agree with lightning and all but... The fights against the humans should be equal. They should all be equal fighting skills.

Also, I 100% agree that there should be power levels in the next game, but I just don't see why everyone insists on having the power levels be unrealistic and having a limit of 1,000,000.
As long as the power levels rise more rapidly the higher they get (just like the show) then we're fine.
If the power levels are unrealistic then it still wouldn't feel any more like DBZ than the B3 leveling system.

The list may be a bit big, like SSJ%Vegeta said. But they need to put effort into this. There are some characters that are unnecessary because they can't really fight up to the standards of DBZ characters. These would be the characters I'd leave out if they had to. And GT Gohan, GT Trunks and GT Vegeta should just be alternate costumes, not different characters. This would save a bit of time.
Just don't cut corners when creating characters, you know what I mean.
And Create-a-character and create-a-saga and all that should not be included, because if they do that, then they won't have time to do other things that are more important to the DBZ game.

Or what you could do is have Adult Gohan occupying one character slot but have four different Base forms for him. His regular Base form which would allow two transformations, both SSJ and SSJ2. His Gt Saiyaman Base Form which may also include his SSJ/SSJ2 transformation as he showed during the world tourneyment. His Trunks Timeline Base with one arm and a single SSJ transformation and the last with his Mystic Power up. You would obviously only be able to take on one of these forms during a battle.
Or you could simply have it ..

i really want to be excited, but...meh...You know, that game is just another reason I want create-a-character in BT3. I don't like the thought that another DBZ game series is going to come out of nowhere and it will have character creation but the game itself will probably be lame, while BT3 will be a great game but it won't have character creation. I want one game that does it all.
And, besides, if that other company can make that feature, I believe Atari can too. Because this really doesn't look that hard to do to me (look at the bottom part):

I'd have to day, Character creation probably wont be, and shouldn't be in T3. What would you guys rather have, heaps of detailed fighters with their own abilities and models, or create a character and all fighters are just a little improved since the last Tenkaichi?
I myself, believe that if they attempted a create-a-character mode, then they'll lose focus on some more important issues for the game. They should just focus on the Dragonball Zness of the game, if that makes any sense.

I'd have to day, Character creation probably wont be, and shouldn't be in T3. What would you guys rather have, heaps of detailed fighters with their own abilities and models, or create a character and all fighters are just a little improved since the last Tenkaichi?
I myself, believe that if they attempted a create-a-character mode, then they'll lose focus on some more important issues for the game. They should just focus on the Dragonball Zness of the game, if that makes any sense.

this is PS3 baby bigger is better. Create a character needs to be a feature. 100 + characters is all fine and dandy but come on who really needs all those damn characters like Guldo and Cui next thing you'll have Pan's gay little robot as a playable character. Its pointless in having 20 odd characters that can't even compete with the others.
I mean come on if you don't like the feature just don't use it.. but picture making your very own character and having him go up against the likes of Goku and Vegeta. I mean Superman vs Goku lol that'll be f--kin awesome.
They'll have so many people working on this game that no corners will need to be cut in order to develop this feature. You're all just being pessimistic.

He's not a transformation, he's just an alternate base from Adult Gohan. You can't transform into him from SSJ2, you have to start as him and you can only revert back to base and then power back up to SSJ+. The only thing I might change is to be able to transform directly from Great Saiyaman into a SSJ/SSJ2 like he did before he was about to rip the limbs off Spopovich. But I think he's fine where he is. Until they take away Teen Gohan's NSFHS, and change Adult Gohan's movelist so it's not the same attacks 3 times in a row, then I'll just be using the other Gohans.

Does anybody think Guldo should actually have his time freeze? Where he actually freezing time.
It could work like this. It's classed as a technique, so he can use it freely through battle, but there will be limits. Like, it requires Blast 1 points or similar, depending if they change the system (hopefully.)
Everything else in the level should pause, Guldo can move freely as he holds his breath. As Guldo moves, on the enemy's screen it appears Guldo hasn't moved at all. If Guldo moves out of the enemies view the enemy automatically locks off of Guldo.
While in time freeze, the factor that keeps it going is his blast 1 bar. If he reaches 0, then the time freeze stops. Therefore, if you use it with only a little blast 1 points, then it will end quickly, if you use it with more, it will give you some time to move.
As soon as Guldo uses an attack, the time freeze stops, to keep it moderately fair. This will come in handy if guldo wants to move around or hide or perform a sneak attack.

But they're working on next generation consoles now, so that is probably untrue. They specifically said they are working on a DBZ PS3 title, so that could be T3. I doubt they'd bring it to PS2 because that could only just handle T2 as it was, and it doesn't have much room for improvement on that console.

I'm quite sick of talking about which console it is going to be on as well. So let's just end it here and now and say, this is the thread for ideas, not arguments about the console! There, that should do it.
Ok, this idea is in my thread. If you want to see more of my ideas, be sure to check it out.
BUILD-UP MODE
Just going over some basics again first. There are the stats the power level is made up of. The total number of stats below equals your PL.
POWER LEVEL - (is an equation of all the stats below)
Health - stat controlling amount of health
Ki - stat controlling amount of energy
Technique - stat controlling speed which the tech bar fills up (tech acts as blast 1 bar)
Transform - stat controlling speed of which transform bar fills (how soon can transform, how fast it recovers) Bar will allow some transformations to be easy to go to.
Regeneration - stat controlling speed of which health and energy recovers
Strength - stat controlling influence on physical attacks
Power - stat controlling influence on ki based attacks
Defence - stat controlling influence on defense against physical attacks
Resistance - stat controlling influence on defence against ki based attacks
Speed - stat controlling influence on overall speed
Charge - stat controlling speed of which ki is gathered
Evade - stat controlling ability to evade attacks
Ability - stat controlling effectiveness of abilities (solar flare, afterimage...etc.)
Blast - stat controlling effectiveness of finishing moves (kamehameha etc..)
Ultimate - stat controlling effectiveness of ultimate moves (spirit bomb, big bang attack etc...)
Training- stat controlling how fast the character is able to level up. This stat can only be changed by capsules put on the character which raise it.
OK. Here is how these stats will be influenced during story mode battles etc. where you can level up. Stats are raised by performing each of these requirements. You can refer to how the stats affect your character above.
But just to make clear, these stats will not go up EACH time you do the requirements in battle. There should be some level of restraint as to how often they go up, I'll leave that up to them.
Health - being heavily damaged in battle
Ki - using large amounts of ki attacks in battle, charing ki attacks, depleting ki bar
Technique - using large amounts of techniques in battle
Transform - transforming and depleting the transformation bar
Regeneration - recovering from damage to full health again
Strength - succeeding in using physical based attacks
Power - succeeding in using ki based attacks
Defence - succeed in defending against physical based attacks
Resistance - succeed in defending against ki based attacks
Speed - performing dashes towards opponent with smashes, speed boosting items
Charge - charging ki for large amounts of time, charging to full ki
Evade - succeed in evading attacks
Ability - succeed in using techniques in battle
Blast - succeed in using finishing moves in battle that are not defended against
Ultimate - succeed in using ultimate moves to KO enemy in battle
Training- can only be changed with capsules that speed up the rate of which stats increase. Shouldn't be able to increase rate more than 10%.
Should be able to increase it by:
2% - takes up 1 slot
5% - takes up 2 slot
10% - takes up 3 slots

The Playstation 2 as well as the Xbox & Gamecube with the amount of space on the Disk as well as the

Kamicollo33, I said this on Page 1 of my Ideas that he should have this ability.
And I agree with the way you laid it out with him holding his breath, the evnvironment just dead still,
and him getting a limit to how long he can hold his breath until the Time Freeze stops. When this
happens the screen which is a blur should (like NFS: Most Wanted & NFS: Carbon after coming out of a
Slow Motion) start to come back to it's normal feel! He should also (like the Series) start to move
around and attack his opponents in whatever way he desires.
He should also (like Captain Ginyu, Frieza, Cell, Janemba) use Psycokenesis (the ability to move any
object with your mind) as he demonstrated when fighting Gohan & Krillin. Then focusing on any object,
lift it up & throw it like a Weapon to hit or land on anything he feels like!

Guldo definately needs that power. He's too pathetic in this game.
On a side note, I'm gonna go on a short rant about what's wrong with BT2.
1) Now that you brought up telekinesis powers - ENOUGH with the psychic or giant rock throw. The environments should have objects, like cars, or even rocks and ice boulders that are kicked up and created during the fight to be picked up and thrown at your opponent if you have those powers or are big like in an ape - or anyone that's strong enough for that matter! Not sure of this is canon, but when Majin Vegeta initially attacked Fat Buu, he did with using spiked rocks from the ground. A small-azz rock appearing out of nowhere is retarded. There should be a button combination to pick up objects to be thrown. The environments have to be much more interactive.
2) Cutscene Hellzone Grenade, Energy Barrage Volleys, etc all of that has to be removed. It is very rare that any attacks in the show followed your opponent. Therefore, to do them they have to step up and make regular Ki blasts do more damage and be able to fire an unlimited amount so long as your energy desires. THAT should be your energy barrage.
3) I like how in BT2 not all Ki blasts are entirely on target up close. I think they shouldn't follow you at all, you should have to time when you fire them like in the show. If they follow you, it gives the opponent a chance to catch you deflecting them away, blocking them, or getting hit so he can fire a blast or rush. GHEY!!
4) Unblockable attacks that follow you = 'nuff said.
5) Not losing energy (ki) after failing to land a rush attack is unfair. What's the point of an explosive wave if they can just sit there and wait for it to end to do it again? It should be like in BT1 where if you missed, you lost the energy. Or they can just take them out all together, like I want. To replace instant cutscene rushes, they can have button combinations that you are required to hit to activate a rush combo, provided you have enough energy. Just like when Fighting Trunks enters into his 2nd combo string, his punches are much faster - it could follow something like that.
It's very easy to win at this game if you exploit the things I mentioned here.

Here's my idea for Goku's spirit bomb!
-Pretty much the same system as BT2.
1. He should be able to clash with small balls if powered by 1 "Give me your engergy" and large balls with 2-3.
2. If you press the transform button during spirit bomb and contain Super Saiyan then you should perform a super spirit bomb if you used it twice.
3. If you transform to super saiyan and do not use your 2-3 "Give me your energy" charged spirit bomb instead of just dissapearing your ultimate should be "Super Spirit Bomb Explosion Wave" like in Movie 7.
4. If you transform beyond Super Saiyan then your ultimate should absorb the spirit bomb, and all stats should go up for a brief amount of time keeping you in Max Power mode longer, and raising attack power and everything else to a much higher level.

Here's my idea for Character's Blast 2 Moves!
1. Add 4 blast 2 moves for some character, and an ultimate blast.
2. At least 2 blast 2 moves for each character, and an ultimate blast.

1. All rushes should be short range, no other side of the enviornment rushes which are too cheap.
2. A long range rush (if it must exist) should take at least 4 ki bars.

1. Like in B3 you should be able to teleport in back of people if you have 2 bars of ki and could teleport in the Anime (Great Saiyaman 2 should not count).
2. They should add many more combos including teleportation combos that appear like Android 13's "Silent Assasin," but of course are much shorter in length.

Here's my Enviornment Ideas!
1. Weather should play a more active role, if it is raining it should be tough to see the screen and attacks should be less accurate.
2. Areas with lava should hurt the characters by erupting onto them if close to a volcano, but not a one hit KO by running into a lava pool.
3. Wind should play a part like rain, but obviously not obstructing the screen.
4. If looking directly at a close star (what I mean is a Sun), it should blind the screen slightly.
5. A level with snow should be added which interacts by covering the characters nocked into it, but no real affect on characters. Snowy days should act as rain.
6. The hyperbolic time chamber should have all these attributes randomly changing.

My Ideas on Health!
1. Some characters should have more health and defense than others, in dueling mode you should be able to choose how much health a character has but not the defense which you never see.
2. Health should be distributed by Energy level not whatever they used in BT2. e.g. Super 17 should have more health than Dodoria, but Frieza, Cooler and Cell could have close to the same health.

My Ideas on Character Creation!
-Even though I used to hate character creation for DBZ, I have been convinced by people on the forums and playing other CC(character creation games).
1. You should be able to choose your Species, and completely customize your characters with attire DBZ characters did not necessarily wear.
2. It might be difficult to create new moves but you should be able to choose a beam used by another character and change it to any color, and name you choose. e.g. You choose Kamehameha and normally it is blue, but you choose yellow and call it Ki Blast.
3. You should be able to choose the size of your character from small(Pan) to medium(Goku) to large(Super 17) to huge(Great Ape) to Really Huge(Hirudegarn).
4. You should be able to choose how fat or muscular your character is Normal(Goku), Fat(Dodoria), or muscular like Broly.
5. You should be able to create 1 Alternate outfit per created character, and should be able to create 10 characters.

The Saiyajin not only massacred the entire Tsufurujin race, but also stole their technology and conquered the planet, renaming it Vegeta in honor of their king. Raichi managed to escape with a capsule and found refuge on a nearby planet in a galaxy with no light, the Dark Planet. His only wish is to eradicate the last remaining Saiyans.
To do this, Dr. Raichi puts devices on the planet that destroy all life. When Mr. Popo finds out that only a few hours are left, Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, and Piccolo rush to destroy the evil devices. They manage destroy all but one. Suddenly, Freeza, Coola, Tullece and Lord Slug appear and they engage the heroes in a fight (Goku VS Coola, Trunks VS Freeza, Gohan VS Tullece and Piccolo VS Lord Slug). It was revealed by North Kaio that the villains were ghost warriors, and would continually come back to life when slain, unless they were defeated in the same way they were originally killed.
The heroes track down Dr. Raichi to the Dark Planet and engage him, discovering that his ghost warriors are generated by a machine called Hatchhyack, a device powered by the hate of the Tsufurujin. It is also revealed that Dr. Raichi is also a ghost warrior, generated by Hatchhyack. When Vegeta vaporizes Raichi, preventing him from re-materializing, Hatchhyack appears in a powerful android body, whose power might even exceed Broly's, according to Goku. Hatchhyack devastates the heroes, until the Super Saiyajin all combine their powers together into one massive wave of energy that defeats him, ending the threat of the ghost warriors.

This is an OVA, first released on VHS in August 1993, just after the Famicom game Dragon Ball Z Gaiden: Saiya-jin Zetsumetsu Keikaku. Indeed, this OVA was a sort of "animated walkthrough" for the Famicom game. In 1994, the footage of this OVA was turned into a digital comic (a video game entirely made of animated sequences, in which the player's only task is to choose between several options to go to the next sequence) for the Playdia. The OVA has been re-released in 2003 in Japan as an extra feature in the "Dragon Box" DVD boxed set.
Returning villains include: Tullece, Lord Slug, Freeza and Coola. The Tsufurujin race have made their appearance in Dragon Ball GT.
The OVA's timeline occurs after Broly's first appearance, but before Bojack's movie. Future Trunks has trimmed his hair, and fights with the same Saiyajin armor Vegeta uses in the JinzM'ningen to Cell saga. Goku did mention Broly's name in the OVA. However, Goku appears to be very much alive in this OVA when he should not be due to his death in the fight with Cell.
The box cover has Gohan posing as a Super Saiyan 2. In the OVA Gohan does not ascend to this level.

and Super Saiyan 4 vegeta, all your ideas are really good. the one thing i don't really like is the Goku's spirit bomb idea. even if you used one "Give me your strength", it should be strong enough to go against large ball attacks. everything else is good.

You should only be able to pull this off if timed just perfect like in BT2. Whenever I play B3 both players just stand there waiting for the other to attack so they can counter. Either this or it should just be more difficult.

This is almost exactly what Zellgadis and myself have said.

hmmm after playing a lot of password characters you start to see the same thing over and over again. Therefore i would like a much much broader range of z items with much more unique and different abilities for each. Also there should be a limit on certain items i.e. no 5 kiss of 18's :) that is all for now

A players level should have more of a DBZ feel, so instead of Lv 1 - 160, why not call it a Power Level instead and make it from something like:
10 000 - 9 999 999
This way you can spend an lot of time levelling up a character. And you have the sense of ultimate training.

Ok Heres my list.. this is probably my last contribution to this page
Game modes..
Story mode - RPG based and will include an all new co-op mode which will be based around the main two characters of each saga, with other characters being included in mini story modes within these sagas. Each saga will include a large number of ‘what if’ scenarios. Some will inter relate with other ‘what if’ scenarios featured later on. DBZ Music and Cutscenes would need to be incorporated in the story mode also. .
Online Mode. - Title pretty much covers it.
Ranking Mode. - Similar to B3 in which your characters make their way up the rankings. This would also have a co-op version, tag version and team version. Characters and the top of the rankings would be near godly and virtually impossible to beat without having an immense amount of skill.
VS Mode. - The new feature here would be the multiplayer battles that everyone desperately wants. This will include up to four players all playing at once on double split screens, whether 2 vs 2, 3 vs 1 or all on all, (which by the way would be insanely awesome)
Practice Mode. - Ok this would basically be the same as BT2 but much more advanced. It would include the training mode where you are taught all the basics plus the updated practice mode with the new co-op mode in which you can practice moves with another player. You can also work on your countering and defensive techniques much easier as you can select what type of offensive techniques your CPU opponent will use.
Tournament Mode - Basically the same as BT2.
Item Shop - Purchase all your favourite character equip capsules. There would be a much broader and unique range of items available this time round. All items will actually be useful this time around rather than having a bunch of pointless items that no one will ever use EVER.
Create-Mode - ok. The icing on the cake. Similar to create a wrestler in smackdown games but not that complex. A Simple ‘select between a number body types, skin tones, hair styles, facial characteristics, battle attire’ etc. etc. This will be accompanied by a create a move set aswell.
Ok Thats the main stuff out of the way..
Available Characters
Now since this is Tenkaichi it is obvious that the cast of characters will exceed all previous games beforehand. This is fine by me personally i would be happy (if not happier) with a cast of about 60-80 of only the important characters. I really don’t need 5 versions of Vegeta or Gohan.I also wouldn’t mind it if Guldo or Cui didn’t make a repeat appearance. There are a few characters i would like to see make there first appearance on a Tenkaichi game.
These characters include.. Olibu, Chi Chi, Hirudegarn 1st Form, Nova & Ice Shenron, King Vegeta, GT Goten, (just cos he a pimp) it will also include a lot of Non Playable characters as well i.e. Puar, Mr Popo, Ox King Korin etc.
Available Stages..
Ok.. Hmmm new stages i would include would be. HFIL, Inside Buu, Otherworld, i.e. King Kai’s planet, snake way, king yemma’s palace etc, Planet Vegeta, Babidi’s Ship.
Misc. New Features.
Larger, more interactive and more destructible environments, inter-related maps i.e. The ability to move from once environment to another mid battle. e.g. Fighting in the mountains then branching off towards the glaciers, or fighting on King kai’s planet then taking the battle to snake highway and eventually king yemma or even below to HFIL. (obviously wouldn’t work in multiplayer battles though.)
New levelling up system based on Power levels. Characters would be ranked based on Power levels, they would be able to raise these by competing in story or ranking modes. Power level would be based on your characters attribute levels. These would include Health, Ki, Attack, Defense, etc.. Not so much a total but more of an average. Most of the stats would also have to be reworked as a few of them were practically pointless in BT2. Ki especially needs to have a much greater effect on battles than it did in BT2. I.e. Your Ki level should be similar to your health levl whereas you have a certain limit before you can no longer continue, therefore requiring more tactical use rather than infinite blast 2‘s over and over again. Speed also needs to have more of a significance. I believe if your character is clearly superior in speed over your opponent this should be shown in battle with either an enhanced ability to dodge or evade. Or a delayed reaction in dodging or evading by your opponent.
Power sensing and Suppressing. This would be a new feature that could be used in story mode or multiplayer modes whereas you can raise or suppress your power levels in attempts to either hide, draw out an opponent, or try and scare an opponent off by showing superiority.
More advanced combo systems, more real time action, ie. less automated attacks or shorter ones. more intense battle graphics

Know I'm sure dozens of people have said this already, but I would like to see a more destruction! Just smashing someone into the ground and leaving a crater makes me happy ^_^. I wish the destruction wasn't already set too, I wish it was something that varies every time you do it. Also one thing I would love to see is a character creation thing where you can actually create your own fighter, his name, looks, skills, specials...yada yada.

A players level should have more of a DBZ feel, so instead of Lv 1 - 160, why not call it a Power Level instead and make it from something like:
10 000 - 9 999 999
This way you can spend an lot of time levelling up a character. And you have the sense of ultimate training.

It still should take a good amount of time to be able to increase one's base power level to 2,000,000 from 1,000,000 - but basically what Epyon is saying is that power levels increase by a percentage. The stronger you are - the more gravity you can handle to become stronger quicker, the more training you can endure before exhaustion, the bigger the beating you can take and thus the bigger power boost when rejuvenated, etc. Power levels are not linear since it does not take as much work to go from 545,000 to 550,000 as it does to get from 5,000 to 10,000. Still a 5,000 increase, but through a specific percentage (depending on character) it's much easier to increase the same amount of power the stronger you get.

I have a feeling that BT3 will not even come close to appetizing fans. Its going to be some lackadaisacal effort by spike to try to make the game good. They dont know about dragonballz as much as pure fans do. They just know what they saw and read. I highly doubt that they took the time to look at every episode of dragonball,z, and gt. Its going to be the same game is BT2 but with a little better graphics and some earth shaking moves. No super destruction or great looking charge ups. And it probably will have a bad cast too. Wishful thinking is wanting it to be a little like the series.

Overall:
My suggestion for BT3 would be to have every single character in the anime playable, yes... that means I want to use the announcer from the cell games to whoop on Broly. Every character should be in there no matter how insignificant, just use the same animations and no voices for the few characters that don't have a big role in the series (oolong would be cool, because he can transform into whatever he wants, same with puar).
Also, more costumes! I want to see Vegeta with his cool pink BADMAN shirt on (even tho he has it on in the BT2 menu, it still has to be ingame XD), and goku with his capsule corp. spacesuit, small things like that would be really cool to see, attention to detail is a must, people really notice these kinds of things.
During a fight, not everything has to be "BRING IT ON!" or like "I'm going to kill you", or "I am the prince of all saiyans". Not all the fights have to start out all crazy like that, it could be light hearted or humorous aswell, and would still work.
Get Akira Toriyama to draw some real menu pictures please, or use cels from the actual show XD, some of the drawings in BT2 are painful, and don't look real at all.
Gameplay:
I'd want to see some sort of Rebound feature, like if you get blasted into a wall, or mountain, you should be able to press block to recover and jump off that wall/mountain at about the same speed or faster (would be cool if you can charge the jump) that you were flying towards it.
Visuals:
I would like to see bigger explosions, DBZ is all about explosions, huge explosions, and lots of dust and debris (expescially when powering up). No more poofs of smoke when an energy blast hits the floor in BT3 please.
Physics, hopefully in BT3 there will be some sort of real IK physics involved, no more stiff fighting/damage animations. If a character punches but gets kicked in the stomach at the same time, his/her arm should be out and the other players foot should be stretched out the opponents back (watch the piccolo vs android 17 fight haha, we need more of this stuff). Well maybe not that exaggerated, but you know, thier arm should be out, and the animation shouldn't cut to a regular damage animation instantly.
Better facial expressions, just copy and past from the anime if your having trouble, and copy off that.
Last but not least, we need some actual face recognition in BT3, so the player can be fully emersed in the frantic and powerful battles of DBZ. Here are some Examples:

Things like power levels and more characters can be done, but some people want like these huge stages the size of a GTA city, and you can make craters all over the place, and you can choose to fly or stay strictly on the ground and there are different mechanics for each style, and the physics are completely realistic, and there are 90+ characters not counting transformations, and all the characters have completely different moves with nothing repeated between any of them, and the story mode uses scenes from the anime, and you can have at least four people fighting on screen at once... That's all just enormous. That seems like it would take four years even for a team of 300+ people.

No no no. As it says on my post, it's 10,000 - 9,999,999. Characters like Chaiotzu and Krillin start at 13,000 or 14,000. As you unlock characters, the unlocked ones will be stronger becasue you get them later on in the game, not making them weak compared to the other characters you have already unlocked. So like, Frieza is unlocked at 80,000, Cell is unlocked at 200,000, Buu is unlocked at 300,000, and Omega Shenron is unlocked at 700,000.
But my reason for 10,000 - 9,999,999, is that if somebody wants a Power Level of up to 100,000,000, then when they are versing someone with a Power Level of 1,000,000 even, the power difference will be SO much that it won't be a fight, it will be throw a volley of punches and he's dead.
So if its 10,000 - 9,999,999 it is still a large range, while still not varying SO much that it gets ridiculous. But those with a higher power level compared to a smaller one will still have a great advantage. But you never know, the lower PL character might still be able to win by tactics.
And keep in mind Power Levels don't represent anybody's power level from the show, it just replaces the boring old level system T2 had, and it has a real DBZ feel.
Now its not like "Levelling up from 10,000 to 20,000 and then from 500,000 to 600,000." It all depends on your actual stat increase after a battle. So after a battle, parts of your stats increase depending on what you do in battle.
So, your PL is equal to the sum of all your stats.
POWER LEVEL - (is an equation of all the stats below)
Health - stat controlling amount of health
Ki - stat controlling amount of energy
Technique - stat controlling speed which the tech bar fills up (tech acts as blast 1 bar)
Transform - stat controlling speed of which transform bar fills (how soon can transform, how fast it recovers) Bar will allow some transformations to be easy to go to.
Regeneration - stat controlling speed of which health and energy recovers
Strength - stat controlling influence on physical attacks
Power - stat controlling influence on ki based attacks
Defence - stat controlling influence on defense against physical attacks
Resistance - stat controlling influence on defence against ki based attacks
Speed - stat controlling influence on overall speed
Charge - stat controlling speed of which ki is gathered
Evade - stat controlling ability to evade attacks
Ability - stat controlling effectiveness of abilities (solar flare, afterimage...etc.)
Blast - stat controlling effectiveness of finishing moves (kamehameha etc..)
Ultimate - stat controlling effectiveness of ultimate moves (spirit bomb, big bang attack etc...)
Training- stat controlling how fast the character is able to level up. This stat can only be changed by capsules put on the character which raise it. This does not effect Power Level.
The MAX each stat can grow before it will not go up any more is 666,666. And having it so large means that there is no noticeable difference from having a Speed stat of 1 compared to 2, but there is a real difference from 1 compared to 50.
So I hope you understand what I'm getting at now. In summary:
-All stats added up equal your Power Level.
-Certain stats increase depending on what you did in that battle.
-Your Power Level can be MAXED out to 99,999,999.
-Power Levels do not represent any true power level from the show.
Hope that's made it easier.

It should not, I agree, and I wasn't saying that. It's your actual stats that increase, and all of them added up equal your Power Level. So you might go from 589,880 > 589,889 because your Attack Stat + 2, and your Defence Stat + 3, your Technique Stat +3 and your Speed Stat + 1.
So it takes a long time to get to a MAX PL of 9,999,999. It takes a lot of hard work and training.

You know what. You've caught onto something there. I don't know about paying for it, but after the game's release, they should have downloadable content.
Like:
New Levels
New Characters
New Skills
New Costumes
You should be able to download some of these because they didn't get time to add them in with the release of the game, so they put it out there for your to download.
Once you download them, they should go right to you Capsule Shop and you have to buy them from the Capsule Shop...just an idea.
But that would be great. That way if they didn't put something in and they want to go back and do that, then they can, and fans can be happy. So like, if they didn't have time to put in Garlic Jr's Castle, then they could put it out there a few weeks after the release to unlock.
But then, maybe they'll get carried away and start releasing bits and pieces a year after its release. I think after a year they should just stop though.
This would keep the game going as well, and fans will appreciate it more. Even though they should put it in to begin with, if there are valid reasons why they didn't have time, they can still do so after it is released.

OKAY! They should be able to level up quicker, but, when I think about it, I'll add a few to my levelling up idea.
You should also be able to equip capsules that let you level up just a little bit quicker. But it should never be able to get out of control.
Lv Up +2% - 1 capsule slot.
Lv Up +5% - 2 capsule slots.
Lv Up +10% - 3 capsule slots.
But maybe for Saiyans there is a special levelling up booster...
Elite Fighters:
Lv Up +6% - 1 capsule.
You know, just to give them an advantage.
And with Saiyans, they have special enhancements abilities that allow them to gain stats during battle when they recover from injuries.
Saiyan Blood:
Stat increase with recovery. 1 capsule slot.
So if you recover 1 health bar, you get a 5% Strength, Power, Defence, Resistance...
So a 5% increase for every health bar they recover. That should count with Senzu Beans, other recovery items, and items you find in level.
So if you recover 6 bars, that's a 30% increase.
Also, they should remake the item system.

But in my opinion the whole reason of having power levels is to measure yourself against the characters from the show.
Besides, if you're going to have a limit of 100,000,000 why not just bring it all the way up to 1,000,000,000?
If you're worried about characters being unbalanced then the solution is simple.
All you have to do is implement the exact power levels in the storyline since the enemies you'll be facing will always be within range and then just add two different multiplayer modes like in B3. One where every character is normal and one like the Dragon Arena where all the characters have their own specific power levels.
So if you do something as simple as that you'll never have to worry about balance. And if you feel someone would get discouraged that they can't beat their friend's character at 200,000,000 because they're only at 5,000,000, (online play anyone? ;)) remember that power levels increase more rapidly as they get higher like I said. So it wouldn't take a century, but it would also add much more playing time, meaning and more DBZ feel to the game.
Come on, how cool would it be to lose to your friend online with SSJ1 Vegeta with a power level of around 23,000,000 (just like the show) to Super Namek Piccolo (fused with Kami) with a power level of around 40,000,000 (just like the show), but then before your next fight you spend some time training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber or searching the Earth for powerful opponents to challenge for example and then you turn into Super Vegeta with a power level of 100,000,000. Then ofcourse you kick your friends ass and send him to the next dimension.
So, in conclusion we can still have the realistic power levels in the story mode and Dragon Arena mode while keeping all the characters normal in the regular duel mode.

I dont think there will be a BT4. There are milking the same story repeatedly. Bandai did a smart move by developing an MMORPG. So go ahead and max out this game there is not much you can do after the MMORPG comes out.

T3 will be the last one I believe. So that means they've got to put all their effort into it. Maybe they should hire like...another 100 people. But these should be no ordinary people, these people should be DBZ fans! :eek:
That's not a bad point. Do you think there are any hardcore DBZ fans at Spike like us? Maybe they should hire us.:D
An online mode where you fly the map and search for fights would be good. Imagine scanning the world from above as you fly through the sky, and down below in arenas are fights happening, or people waiting for fights. You should be able to view the power levels of all the fighters in that arena, and if you want a challenge, you go to them.
They need some awesome features this time around. I don't want to see the same old modes from T2.

they should make that you choose a planet to fight on. so if u pick earth u should be able to fly al arround the plant and fight al over. it should be massive !!!! u can go to kami lookout or go to the north pool or to a city. but also be carefull not to shoot to much at the planet because it may explode and kill both opponents :)

prob. only 2 plantes to choose from earth and planet namek so they should be REAAAAALLYY BIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGG. bye that i mean it should really feel when u fly around the plant that its a real planet (at max speed it should take like 1 min to fly al around :s so that u can imagine how big or even bigger XD ). so it its al the maps we know so far all in 1 map but even bigger . so that 1 planet is enoguh for free for all online play (maybe like 100 player per planet ) im just saying numbers :)
beamweapons
when u power up to fire a kamehameha wave there should be lighting dark sky ,earth shaking,big waves near sea,... and when u fire and u mis there should be a big crater!!! or shen ur on the ground and u shot at the opponen infront of u there should be a line in the ground (dont know how u say it in english but a somthing like a crater but aah u know u saw it in the series :p )
fighting
more combos and rush moves and more special moves per character(al special moves the character ever did) or typacal moves that each character should be able to do.
but if then a char has 5 special moves not make the all verry strong (3 classes of special moves or so and 1 ultimate move )
when u fight u shoudl try to raise ur power level to ur highest the higher u raise ur power level the stronger u are iuntil u reach ur max level. for online play u should be able to lower ur power level to hide to recover ur health and so,...
graphics
the planets(earth,namek,..) should in goood deatail
online gameplay
so because the planets to fight on are massssive!!!!!! player should join a server(and thats 1 planet) and fight on it search other player and fight them . searching other players bye sensing there energy. if the planet gets destroyed (it just resets)
online gameplay should be 2kinds and with each kind u can choose free for all or 1vs1 or tag teams,..
1. with power levels and 2. normal
with power levels player should be able tomake there own character or use a real one and train it and come online and fiight. but there powerlevel wil be at 0 when they join so no one can detect them . but they wil need to rise there powerlevel when they want to go to fight (so you can choose to power urself up to maximum or hold back a liltle bit so that u can suprise someone that ur even more powerfull .
also while u play online u should get more xp for lvling .
and u should also gain some kind of money for killing other players . and with that money u can buy items for ur character like senzu beans ,potions,.... to use when ur playing on a planet.
this would be really fun !!!!
transformations
they should take longer so when ur goku and u want to go to super saiyin 1 you should need to power up until u reach the powerlevel where u can go super saiyin . but not make that u power up ur energy to max and then transform. and now that brings me to another idea :D there should em a extra bar ( health bar, energy bar AND powerlevel bar). so when power up ur energy go's faster up than ur powerlevel bar and then when ur energy bar reaches a certain amount of energy and u reach the needed power level for super saiyin then u transform (it should no be instant maybe 3 sec of transformation litle bit cut scene style but that does not stop the game.

and for the other kinds of transformations
they should look like in the series how they happen but not take to long 6 sec or so(becoming grat ape, janemba,...
and al characters
wel this is al what i would like and some other things that i forgot to mention.

What really is of great importance of the DB series that can be in story mode that played as a key feature, besides king piccolo, alogth, Kami, Nail, and King Piccolo should all be playable in BT3. I'd have to say out of all the DB i've really seen my favorite part is wen that pterodactyl kidnapped Bulma:p

Ha ha ha... following the crowd eh? Wii is not going to win the console war. It is not a next gen like 360 and PS3. PS3 is 20x more powerful than Wii. In a year or two, the real battle will begin:) but let us get back on topic.
I sure wish I just could have a weekend off to create more ideas and combine them all:bored:

Woah, easy there boy. But you're right, PS3 can fit about 20 Wii's in its belly.:D
Now, let's steer away from console wars...
When you transform into a great ape, it should actually show the process, like, you start to grow and your clothes rip off :confused: and your hair starts to grow.
But then, it's not just as simple as switching character models from, say, Goku to Great ape. But, maybe they should consider trying. It will beat the flash of light and then.... oh, I'm a monkey now.
And Epyon, I will be back to defeat you one day...:p:)
