NWN2 Autorun lasts less than 5 seconds before dumping out to desktop.

My system meets or exceed all of the system requirements.
NWN2 CDs (7)
1) insert CD1
2) wait for setup to start.
3) nwn splash, countup to the agreements
4) blinks to agreements? (dunno at this point)
5) desktop.:weird:

rinse and repeat... wait.. maybe if I click quicker..:eek:

1) click setup
2) wait for setup
3) nwn splash, countup to the agreements
4) blinks to agreement CLICK! CLICK! CLICK!
5) blinks through the setup.. I see the cd key area now for a split second.... then...
6) desktop.:weird:

NWN Presale toolset did this to me as well, but I managed eventually to force it through and it works now.

I'm sorry, but since 1999, I've only developed or played NWN as a video game. Help. Please. I just want to continue playing and developing.

Are you using CD-ROM or DVD-ROM?

Also, can you give your machine specs, please, as these things might help to determine your issue.

NWN2 presale toolkit WAS installed, now has been removed to prevent compatibility issues.

I found some obscure references to Install Shield causing issues like it.
It seems to have been solved by wiping out the entire directory:
program files/install shield/ (everything within)

--installed and patching correctly now. (I had to force it one more time.. I guess to clear it out or something..)

So.. tomorrow will we have the 1.02 patch and the next day will be 1.03?
*sly grin* There's my digs. It feels better somehow.
