I've made an Asian Lamp for RCT3 .I thougt Spanky could use it for his Park.

I only have to texture it.

One problem I have, is that i don't understand how to make an effect point because I would like to make a light into the Lamp......If someone could explain that to me in a way I undestand better, this would be really nice.

You might want to check with Vodhin on this; he seems to be the expert in lamps. :D

It's really easy. What 3D modeler do you use?

Fantastic =)
- In Blender create a separate object that consists of only one vertex (Probably the fastst way to do that is to create a plane, select all vertices in edit mode, press "W"->Merge->At center).
- Give it a descriptive name (for example "Light Effect Point").
- Move this vertex to the spot where you want the light to come from.
- Make sure you export this object along with your actual model object.

In the importer:
- Set up your scenery item as normal
- In the Create Scenery OVL window go to the model settings for the lantern. You should see the one vertex object apear in the mesh list in green.
- Add an effect point.
- The one vertex object's name should appear in the drop-down list in the effect point settings window. Select it and press the "Pos" button.
- Press the "Create" button and select Light->Start from the appearing menu.
- Have a look at the tooltips for the controls in the create light window, they should help you to set up the light.
- That should be everything needed to set up the light.

PS: Falls Du irgendwas nicht verstehst, schick mir einfach eine PM auf deutsch :p

I forgot to mention that in the pm, the lamps seem to have an issue with lighting (not the light they should radiate, but the one that falls on them ;) ). I had similar problems when I used 3ds as intermediate format for Blender as you said you do in the pm. I hope that will be fixed when you use the ASE export script :)
Oh, and I have to agree with Spanky, the lamps look fantastic.

Looks really nice!
Regarding what errt says, depending on what "flair" you want to give them I don't think they are too dark if they should look like a candle gives off the light.

What you could experiment with is making the round lampshield a separate mesh (ie object in blender) and giving it one of the SI...Unlit texture styles to make it seem to glow. You will have to considerably darken the texture to make it look right though. Maybe experimenting with the SI...Emissive styles would be even better. Those use the Alpha texture to affect lighting.
This should help to make it look more realistic at night.
