This is an attempt to take the load off of yesmydear and reach out to others who may also be interested in created Titanic custom scenery for my Titanic attraction. Below I have compiled a list of things that I need for my ride or I think would be awesome to include in my ride to make the Titanic that much more real and bring life to the ship. Once again, this is for anyone who loves to build custom scenery or would like to take a shot with some of these pieces. Thanks to anyone who's interested.

These are the poles that carry the libeboats. If someone could create the davit will perhap rope hanging from it.

http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/6633/king084ee1.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
By support ropes I mean the ropes that support the smokestacks and tall steel poles at the bow and stern of the ship. This is something I would love to have in my Titanic, and I would assume it wouldn't be that hard. Only, I would have to discuss with the designer the slope of the ropes.

http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/9747/king080ua2.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
This is also something that I'd be dying to have are numerous nautical things that were on Titanic's exterior like the one's you see in the picture at the bow and more. There are about maybe 10 or 11 nautical items at the most I would love to add to the ship and I think would make the ship look 1000% more real.

I don't think this light would be that hard to create, and I think it would really add a lot to the ship, especially during the sinking to light the deck. This isn't the best picture, but the circular light on the wall.

http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/9562/king033wl3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Now this one's a whopper. I really don't like the smokestacks I've created already and I think that custom smokestacks will perhaps the ladder coming up the side and a few more details would make the ship seem much more detailed. I really only need someone to create one smokestack 7 squares tall with a 2 X 2 base.

I know I've said this a million times, lol, but having the hull of the ship will all the rivets and portholes would make the ship look like the real thing! All I would need is like 3 or 4 custom walls with portholes and rivets.

http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/4631/fight146ic1.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
This is one is a real challenge, really. The propellers would be absolutely amazing if they could be created. Of course, we would have to discuss dimensions and other details.

http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/1272/king086fn3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Okay, I saved the most difficult and mind-numming project for last so to not scare anyone, lol. This would truly be a feat or RCT3 if anyone could recreate the grand curves of Titanic's bow and stern. This person would probably also have to create the other horizontal hull. If anyone could actually achieve this, I would sell my soul to you! Seriously, I would die if anyone attempted this.

So there you have it. A ton of custom scenery that I am putting on my dream list if any custom scenery folk want to attempt anything. If anyone's thinking, why not do it yourself, well simply because I suck so bad at it. I have attempted for a couple weeks and can barely make a square, lol.

If anyone wants to create anything for me, send me a PM or post a message on this thread and we can discuss further on what you are creating. Thanks so much to anyone who wants to try to make anything!

I'll give the circular lights a shot, not that I've tackled light effect points...you want it aligned to the outer edge of a wall?

birou006, you forgot to mention including the actual lifeboats (or lack thereof). You can probably have these "floating" around your recreation of the sinking Titanic.

eviltower, I already have an idea for the lifeboats that don't require custom scenery.

Here is a checklist of the cs and who has agreed to do something:

1) Lifeboat Davits
2) Titanic Support Ropes
3) Various Nautical Items
4) Titanic Exterior Wall Light X: Obi_wan_cannoli
5) Custom Scenery Smokestacks
6) Black Hull of Titanic
7) Propellers
8) Titanic's Bow and Stern

CUSTOM SCENERY SHIP HELP:

ZaQxSw created an entire custom scenery Titanic. Now, he doesn't know how to texture objects and yesmydear is overwhelmed with the interior of Titanic, so I was wondering if someone with pretty good texturing talents could texture this enormous ship. It's the last final thing I need done before I can release the ride. So if anyone could help, I would be grateful. Thanks for all the support in the last few months and this is the final leap :D . Here's a picture, I hope ZaQxSw won't mind, and there more like teaser shots so the rest of the forums will be suprised when it's completed.

Cool idea, but I'm almost posative that is too poly heavy and won't work in rct3.

weasel's right. Even my Xpcot set, simple and geometric, is running into problems being "poly heavy." This looks way too massive. It looks like it was done in Sketchup, which is tends to be a bit crazy on making verticle faces.

You may want to try to substitute other materials ie. walls, floors, etc. to try to build the deck.

(I am finding that over a certain number of faces the importer simply crashes, though I cannot pinpoint the number.)

I think I may just have a custom scenery bow and stern, that seems to be the best alternative and that's all I really wanted in the first place...

awesome! need piece of the metal ship wall, beam, porthole, anchor, propeller, smokepipe, helm wheel, ship rail, lifeboat, and many more you need custom make it.

It looks great.
The way to look at the poly count is this. If I build a 10x10 wall with a plain wall piece that would be 1200 faces. so get the total poly count for your object and divide it by the amount of squares the object takes up in rct3. this will give you the total faces per square

let's see... carry the 1.. and- OH MY GOD. that is a lot of faces.
