I may not be playing a spellcaster because I don't see how a spellcaster can survive but I discovered a bug in the game in relation to missing henchman.
I thought, hey it might be neat to bring up the druid companion and sorceror familar as extra's.
BIG mistake. On zoning out the game on loading the new zone thought my henchman familar or druid companion were my henchmen. I lost while zoning Neeshka. I go back to the INN in Neverwinter to zone back out with a new party to see if she is on the list and what's on the list of available henchman? Neeshka is missing and the Soceror Familar is now a selectable henchman!
If I do not summon familar or companions, the problem doesn't occur but If you zone with a companion or familar as a spellcaster good chances are you can kiss your actual henchman goodbye for good. They are GONE.
I'm warning you now, you do a familar or companion and zone out of a zone you may or may not loose a henchman in the process but it's definitely happening and i was able to duplicate the problem more than once.
