I'd like to start a list of ideas that you'd like to see included/implemented in Silverfall.

Some things I'd like to see...

1) Combo moves that chain together for explosive damage (like in Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows or Ninety-Nine Nights, but even longer chains). I can't stand World of Warcraft's combat system because it just doesn't feel very immersive.

2) Wide-screen and HD support. Lots of people have widescreen laptops and monitors now.

3) Mini-map with quest waypoints that update based on what step you are on in your quest. In other games I have been frustrated when I accidentally miss reading what the next step of my quest from an NPC in game thand I have to try to figure out where the quest page is and interpret the meaning of the words and how they relate to the game world.

4) Items - socketable items that you can put magic stones into for various effects/colors (Area of Effect, Damage over Time, Direct Damage, Energy/White, Poisin/Green, etc). When you find a higher quality item, you can pull the stones out of your old weapon/armor before selling it to a vendor.

5) Transportation - teleport stones, airships (maybe goblin zeppelins), ground mounts (wolves, tigers, bears, horses, etc.)

Please post other things you'd like to see in Silverfall.

You know, Silverfall is already "finished", at least feature wise. It's already sold in France, and will be released later elsewhere 'cause they need to localize it (well, finish it too).

HD I don't know, but it supports wide-screen.

Map and quest wise, Silverfall is much like Sacred: a point on the map for the main quest next step, and for the selected sidequest, as well as an arrow on the minimap for each giving the direction you need to go.

You can go directly to each major point you already discovered (mainly cities and cave entrances). No possibility to go back to where you were before teleport though (except on foot of course).

PS: full color text as well as full big size text is not really good for reading

Yeah, I got that. I noticed the French version had been released after I posted last night. I am more than a little disappointed that I apparently missed the betas. I signed up months and months ago.

No combo moves in Silverfall.

That bites. I might just have to download the French version and muddle through the first few levels to see if I want to buy the English version when its released in February. The graphics looks great from the vids I've seen, but its the gameplay that has to hook me for me to justify buying a game like this.

HD I don't know, but it supports wide-screen.

That's cool. I run a viewsonic 37" widescreen HDTV via HDMI from my graphics card and the native res of the screen is 1280X720 for PC. It'll be nice not to have stretched characters.

Hmm. Never played Sacred. Sounds better than trying to figure out ingame NPC-speak though.

Too bad. It was one of the only decent things (imho) about Mage Knight Apocalypse and its being heavily utilized in the new WoW expansion pack. Oh well.

Hmm. Seems rational but boring.

Thanks for the tip. I opted for a size 1 black font this time. You like?

Well, as the native version of the game is French, betas were in French as well. Don't know where you "signed up" for the beta though ;)

Who knows, they might want to beta test the translation before international relase? :p

Yeah much better, but the native text parameters are great too ;)
