Hi all,

I'm searching an online store that sells Atari Flashback 2 console in Italy or at least has PAL/220V versions to sell to Italy.

thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, a PAL version was not produced.

ok I would prefer a PAL version but is not a so great problem. I can search for a multistandard TV o Monitor.

Now the big issue is to find someone selling it to Italy. On the Atari website I see the store is for US only.

Thanks

Can anyone tell me whether the PAL version WAS ever made for the Flashback 2?
I would like to buy one for my children to play. I live in England.
If you are still around farnea, what is a "multistandard TV or monitor", that would allow me to ship over a Flashback 2 from the USA and play the system in Europe.

Another question:
As an alternative I have seen that Atari once made a piece of PC software called "Best of Atari". Can anyone tell me whether this allows "head to head" two player play on games such as Combat if I buy two Joysticks to plug into USB ports on my PC? I want my daughters (aged 5 and 7) to play Combat, but whetever I have read about this software doesn't say whether two player head to head play is posssible.
Thanks for any help.

You must read the specifications of the A/V (or SCART) input of your TV and check if it manages both PAL and NTSC standards. It happens that a PAL TV, can manage the NTSC signal too, but only when it is applied to the composite video input. I've noticed it in my TV and in the newer LCD little televesions, anyway the best thing is always to read the TV tech specifications, or ask to the selling stuff of your store.

Andrew

I'm not aware of any collection called "Best of Atari". There's the following collections:

Atari Arcade Hits (Vol 1 and 2)
Atari Anniversary Edition
Atari 80 Classic Games In One
Atari Greatest Hits
Atari Arcade Classics (Collection of remakes)
Atari Revival

"Best of Atari" is just a name series Infogrames would put on their PC games when those games sold well.

For example:

It seems this was Europe only. I never seen any "Best of Atari" series here in North America

Are you talking about this? (down)

Thanks for those helpful replies. The PC game I'm talking about is the "80 classic games in one". Although, the Combat specific one looks good. Yet I think my children might enjoy some of the other two-player Atari 2600 games such as Air-sea Battle.
Anyway, can someone tell me whether this PC software does allow the head-to-head play with joysticks?
Thanks.

It should. 80 classics in 1 also includes arcade games on it as well, just so you know.

As far as that Combat, that's not the same one - that's a 3D remake that came out in the 90's.
