I just like the tactics they employ behind each fight and its not purely just a hack and slash anime and the anticipation and story behind is fight is deep... Kenshin and Sanosuke are so cool... And i just love the dual personality of kenshin and how he tries to win the fight through persuasion rather through brute strength( He vow not to kill a person anymore )...
You need to read the manga too. Sure Kenshin beat Shishio and all that, but there is a whole other story arc where you find out Kenshin's past and where he has to duel his insane brother-in-law Enishi. I liked it the best. The anime is good though. Manga is actually called Rurouni Kenshin. Samurai X is another name.

It's a harem anime about a loser who wants to get into Tokyo University, cause he made a promise to a little girl when he was a kid. Only problems, 1: He fails his entrance exams 3 times, 2: He can't remember who the girl was.
So of course he somehow becomes the manager of an all girls appartment complex called Hinata House. There most of the girls think he is a pervert, cause he accidentally walks in on them in the hot springs (the apparments used to be a hot springs resort.) So he gets blasted into oblivion by either Naru, or Motoko.

Fruits Basket is a Shojo Manga/Anime series. Which means it was designed for little girls to watch/read. There are 23 volumes of the Manga & 26 episodes of the Anime.

Basically it is about love. But of course there is a hitch, whenever someone of the opposite sex hugs a member of the family that the main character moves in with. They turn into a member of the Chinese Zodiac. IE an animal. Sort of like Ranma 1/2 when certain people got doused with cold water they changed shape (and even gender), and when they get doused with hot water they change back to normal.

Anyways, my current favorite Manga/Anime is Ai Yori Aoshi.

Maybe you should rent some more at your local video store...most Blockbusters and Hollywood Videos have an anime section, sometimes mixed with the "Special Interest" section, or even some in the "Kids" section, so ask your local video store. Or maybe watch late night on Cartoon Network on Saturdays, and Sci-Fi Channel on Mondays.
