Well, I haven't been here since the good ol' days of D3 glitching and I'm sad to find out that the forums are closing. I was originally coming in here to ask whether of not D:PL was any good as I haven't been keeping up with it. So I suppose you have like a day to inform me if you wish.

I have lots of memories from these forums. Xtsubarublazin, Matt_lab, albrozdude, (who is banned now  why is that?) and everyone else who were here back in the day: I hope I see some of you guys in Community Chat.

Well the game was an overall success, it was a real thrill ride and is entertaining(mind you, I don't play it what with my PS2 ac adapter being fried). Anyways, the game had little glitches, I mean, it had it's glitches don't get me wrong, but this game was a hell lot better when it came to no glitch wise. Basically the only thing the bugged me personnally, is it seemed to cartoony, I mean, it's an amazing game, but the game was a little less realistic. The city is really well done, you can really tell the difference between one time period from another. Besided that one issue, it is pretty well done and really good. A bit short, but nevertheless, a good game. The story line was a bit iffy, I mean, what with all the working and doing jobs, but in the end the story isn't, in my opinion, as good of that of D3's. Fun mini games keep you entertained after you complete the game, and there are tons of fun mods you can add to your car. It's sure fun to stick nitro on a motorcycle and ride that around. Police A.I has improve amazingly, and I must say it really was a challenge, mind you, the police have a tendancy not to follow you down alleys if your are too far away, but hey, they make up for it by predicting which end of the alley your coming out.

Little review of Driver: Parallel Lines, would say more, but the installation my newest game is almost finished. Yeah, pitty about Albrozdude and what not. See you on the other forum!

Well, aside from the fact it has a smooth framerate, you can drive fast, and theres tons of traffic to dodge (which is cool), the game is not that good. The cop chases suck, they can barely keep up. It just feels so empty when you're playing it. On foot is not that good, they got rid of the fps controls seen in D3, which were a bit slow yes, but much better than the crap they have in this one. Over the shoulder cam is a joke.

I think the city is pretty real breathing and alive compared to Driv3r cities. I do agree car chases aren't as near as good as other Driver games, Driver 1 at best. But I say the driving speed increase the fun. And the traffic really gives a challenge at times.

I'm sure you have your best answers, Athorne. My best advise is not expect very much and take the game for what it delivers and DPL just might be worth a buy.
