Cedar Point Recreation (1st phase) Update 1/12/07

Ok, im going for the big one.:noob: Ive been working on it for a few days, and its my homepark (being only an hour away). We get season passes almost every year so i know most of the layout. As of right now its not real accurate becasue this is the first stage and i plan on haveing 3 or 4 stages. The first one is getting the layout with buildings and rides. The second one is putting down custom scenery like buildings and supports. Then the last one is getting all the detials and trees/flowers. I plan on this taking a long time, but sence basketball season is almost over i have about 2 months untill track starts!
Heres what i have so far. Please if you see anything thing that i should fix when im building please tell me.
The entrence (remember i havent placed custom scenery, and im starting at the entrence gate, so no place where you buy tickets cause i cant use the scanerio mode)

Arent the entrance colours blue and grey. A good start but demon drop is a darker colour. Also i would put the draw distance up for taking photos lol

Yeah i kinda just made everything a neutral color.

Whats the draw distance?
Rtoups try some custom scenery. At least shyguy's main street pack.
I have them but im not going to put in that scenery untill i have the park layed out. (in my opinion it makes it easier.)
And i fixed Deamon Drop so it looks better in both color and ride shape.
Also ill need help on finding logos for the rides, all the places i look for the logs have them copyrighted so i cant use them.

The draw distance is the distance that you can be from an object and still see it. Notice how we can't see the supports for demon drop and some of the walls. What you should do is open up options and set the settings on Best Quality before taking pics. Even if it lags up you game, its just for pics.

Nice start dude. I have never been to the park but looking at pics as comparing them to this, it's pretty cool. Are you going to include Maverick?

I was planing on having Maverick as long as i can get it right, that will probally be one of the hardest rides.

Good luck. Cedar Point is the hardest recreation to do. And you will receive the most criticism. And I'll be one to dish out a lot of it. I've worked for the company for over 4 years now... 2 years in Park Operations and 2 years+ in Resorts... and whereas it's your "home" park because you live an hour away, I live 5 minutes away.

Demon Drop is at a diagonal to the front of the park, which is impossible in RCT. However, having it straight at the entrance rather than running alongside it would be a better, more accurate representation. It's also turquoise... not blue. I've run to the top of that thing enough times to know.

I'm willing to bet money that this won't ever be finished... sorry to be such a pessimist... but that's my bet.. and I'm all-in.

I have a quick update on what I have done. I have fixed Deamon Drop up a little bit, then i have added the beging of skyride with a building around it. Remember i havnet use really any custom scerery yet. So here it is

Well thats it for a couple of days becase we have our semifinal game in the Basketball Tournament, so ill be busy tommorow. Comments appreciated.

Ok, well I have alot to say as this si my home park as well.
(Also, sorry that I may be a bit harsh on you, but its critisism)

1.Well first I'd make the ticket booths first. That'll make it more realistic.

2.Do you only have the rct3 and no expansions packs? If so it'll be hard for you as you won't be able to make MaXair.

3.is that building the restrooms? Well then that doesn't look anything like it. And the restrooms go up on a little slope and when you enter the park, the restrooms come first, then the demon drop.

4. The demon drop is the blueish green, so use that.

5. I'd suggest you get a cedar point logo for the entrance.

6. The guest services and security is connected to the entrance. The guest services is to the right, the securuty, to the left.

7. With the flowers by the skyride building, if you ROTATE them, that is how they are supopse to be.

8. Now about the skyride building, It should actually turn the oppisite way it is and then go downward at the side of the builiding and then turn right and end there.

9. The merry go round should have a building around it and like a little railing on top of the structure

So I hope this helps you alot.

Ok, its been a while sence my update because ive been reworking things and we won our basketball game so we play tommorow in the finals! I redid deamon drop and added the bathrooms before it. I also took out and havent rebuilt the section of shops yet. My next step will be building the shops and placing the walls around the marry-go-round. Here are a few pictures.
