Translated:
The files will be sent to Fileplanet when BTA gets over his hang over from the night before. It will get uploaded for public testing when the monkeys at fileplanet manage to peck the correct number of keys into the ftp password dialog.

Thanks for the link -- Looking at the file dates, I expect there will be another build posted early next week. So, I would recommend holding off on the download for a few days until the open beta is formally announced.

I'm having a great deal of trouble trying to understand what the **** you are saying, but...
there isn't left to say about the beta. You want to play? The steps are easy:

1)Go to www.fileplanet.com
2)Read frontpage for Test Drive Open Beta announcement
3)Refresh webpage
4)Restart at Step 2

When IGN handles a beta test, nothing is expected. When IGN handles an open beta test...the only thing thats being tested is server load.

Well i think me and many others ask where are the keys?? I applied for the Beta today, when the public registration was opened, and i should come out the 22nd, but still no-one has recieved any key... What is going on, why is Atari/IGN doing this??

Takku, the sign-up on fileplanet that you registered at is not the BETA registration, it is just a sign-up for a mailing list that will inform you on any changes/new concerning the TDU Public BETA.

As of yet there have been no messages whatsoever indicating the beta would not be released today, so no worries yet!

You can probably expect to get an email from Fileplanet as soon as the beta registrations goes live.

And don't stress too much, sure there is alot of animo for TDU, but 25.000 keys is alot and they probably wont be gone in less than a few hours.

To clear some stuf up, it is not like i can't wait for the beta release, it just that i want to know what i am up to. When is it going online, and can everyone who signed in for the beta(i mean the registration where u don;'t have to subscribe) or only fileplanet subscriptioners recieve a key? It is jsut that we don't got much information, and the info we do have is most of the times very unclear.

Atari/BTA can't tell us when it will be released, as it is out of their hands for most of the process.

Atari provides Fileplanet with the BETA client, the amounth of key's to be released, and some additional info. After that Fileplanet handle's pretty much everything else.

Please keep in mind that atari is doing us a favor by allowing this much testers at this stage. They could probably finish up most of the testing with 10.000 selected testers or less, and just do a 3 day stress test prior to the release.
With the current selection only on spec's and a little screening, alot of people will just be playing instead of testing. which means that even though 25.000 testers are allowed the well hidden bugs might not even show up.

There has been quite abit of information already, and pretty much every question you asked had already been awnsered right here on this forum.

At this moment we can expect the beta to be up somewhere during the day. could be early, could be late, could be tommorow or later depending on what problems will show up(which no-one can know up ahead) and the guys at Fileplanet.

That's a good point. People seem to forget it's about helping to iron out the problems and not just a demo. I just hope I manage to get in the 25000. Being in the UK we might not hear about it starting until hours after and miss all the places

On a french TDU fansite we have a chatbox constantly filled with more than 10 people who keep talking about the new beta coming up.

It is some sort of siege, we have been taking over each other all the nights to keep an eye on fileplanet for almost three days now and nothing is up yet. Waiting for the beta is not a problem and we are very thankful to atari to give us an opportunity for everyone to participate in this beta-test. However I think Atari should be more involved in its community as many people are wasting their time stupidly because of the lack of information.

Well It looks like afterall the BETA is coming. They are more logistical problems, nothing wrong with the game itself, but bad enough to where it's affecting our ability to launch right now ;)

And you will be able to sign-up @ Fileplanet once the beta is uploaded, you will receive the key as soon as you complete te registration.
