I am not sure about that dbfan, his puppet attacks pretty much would own Jirai. Definetly if Jirai doesn't have antidotes, hitokugutsu would own.

How he transfers his facial features, as depicted in the manga, is not explained. Since he only does so once during his Performance of a Hundred Puppets, one can assume that he had a spare version of his puppet body prepared in advance. His puppet body also gives him the ability to use over one hundred puppets at a time, while the most even an advanced puppeteer can use is ten (one per finger).''

Maybe, maybe not, I think Sasori is underrated by many people.

Sasori was whooped by an old hag, and Sakura. He's not underatted, he's just not good.

Sasori is strong, stronger than Deidara, who is actually quite strong. It's just that Jiraiya is a Sannin, one of 3 of the strongest ninja in the series. The way I see it, only a few Akatsuki members can defeat any of the Sannin.

Sasori was beaten by a 15 year old and something ancient in order to further the story line. Just like how some other Akatsuki members will be defeated by Chuunins, it doesn't make much sense when you take rank and said skill into account.

They were the worst possible matchup for Sasori.

1) Sakura had antidotes and can heal, if she was without Chiyo she would have died in 2 seconds.
2) Chiyo was his grandmother, knew how he fights, and taught him mostly everything he knows.

It doesn't matter. Jiraiya would pumble Sasori. See, that's in most cases. Just like water type jutsu are beaten by electricity type jutsus. It's applied the same way with people, and I realize what you're saying.

But, the gap between Sasori and Jiraiya is too great for that to be the case. Jiraiya's is on a completely different playing field than Sasori. So even if Sasori's chakra type, or techniques were superior to someone with Jiraiya's, it wouldn't matter.

For instance, someone who only uses hand-to-hand combat, at the level of Sasori, couldn't beat Sasori. But someone who uses hand-to-hand combat at the level of Gai, has a better chance of beating him....for obvious reasons.
