I've made a piece of scenery in Blender and am having a couple of problems, my item has 3 textures but in the importer it will only let me add one for my mesh, can I only have one or am I missing someting? Also I need to enter the size but I don't how to find it out in blender, if someone could tell that'd be appreciated. Oh and also, my object isn't symetrical, do I have to mirror on the z axis before I import it?
Thanks, RCT_Insanity

The reason you can only apply one texture is that there is only one, how do I say it, module, in your model. UV Map the different "modules" and then try adding the different meshes in the importer.
Don't bother with the size thing; as I understand it, it is the scale of the object, not the size. Just put 1 in the blanks.
Also, just use the Fix Orientation button to align the model properly.

You can assign only one texture per Blender object in the importer. Make things that need separate textures separate objects (use 'P' in edit mode to make a new object from selected vertices.)

4 Blender units equal one RCT3 square. More on my facts&figures page. You can press 'N' to show (and edit) exact measurements. Do so in object mode to find out the total size of an object.
The size in the scenery settings doesn't have to be exact, but remember it has to be in the game coordinate system (explained in the Beginner's tutorial).

Model as normal in Blender (standing on the x/y plane) and follow the Beginner's tutorial in respect to the model transformation matrix, then it will turn out in game as modelled.

Read the beginner's tutorial, it's all explained there.

I've read the whole thing but on the tutorial it says it will install it directly to the RCT/style/themed area but instead it game me the option of where to put it, I'm not sure what to do with it.

Which version of RCT3 do you have and is it properly installed?
To explain, the importer reads the directory from the registry, if it can't find it, the directory choice dialog appears. That means you either have a no or a broken RCT3 install. Maybe they also changed the registry key for platinum, therefore the question.

I think it might have something to with the fact that the directory is C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 and when some custom scenery has an automatic installer with it the default path is C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3® (the difference being the ®). Also, it might have something to do with that it's the UK version.

No, that's not it. I have the German version which I installed to the Games subdirectory of my Program Files (Programme) directory and it works. I can only assume that the install registry information for RCT3 got corrupted in your case. Either reinstall or just select the <RCT3 dir>\Styled\Themed directory when you're asked where to install to.
