Well done! Those look fantastic,
I wont say about all of the good thinks because
I don't think that you will find that useful- Instead
I'll say about the 1 not so good bit,
You know the steps- I know that you said that you will
change them slightly but the texture looks abit odd, especially
on the verticle parts
Good luck with the rest of it- Looking forward to the next update!

Yes, I agree. I will use a wrong texture-can I ask if anyone has a metallic recourable texture they would send to me?-Thanks for the comments jonnyears
Thanks

It's not wrong, only mapped badly ;)
I guess the texture is seamless, so just overshoot the mapping (ie map one texture only to a fraction of a face), then it will look alright. Also keep the mappings aspect ratio same to the face.

Oh, and the checkered flag looks a bit strange, too. I'd elongate the pole to the top.

Easiest way to map tiled textures in Milkshape is to use the Tile Texture Mapper tool in the Tools menu. If you want the texture to repeat 5 times in the x axis and 5 times in the y axis, just enter 5 for those values (if text or other 'face' texture is used, you need to use negative values: -5 and -5, for example).

This is what pleases me when it comes to CS, a
creator that listens to the fans- Not many
people reply to everyone but i'm pleased that you
do it
Your set is just being added to the list now,
Sorry that I didn't do it yesterday when you announced it

Ok, this update is not huge. I am a big snooker fan and have been hooked to the TV, and have been playing it (got a 6 ft table for me bday :)). Also now I am doing GCSE I have loads of coursework so I get less time on RCT3, but I do as much as I can. Ok, screens. The lines point to things I want you to see :)
Notes:
The stand is not textured fully and needs unwelding + adjusting, I just wanted to show you it so you could see the size of it compared to peeps.
http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/5866/ingameflagsstandpeepskn5.jpg
Here you can see the size relation between peeps and the stand (which still needs work, nothing new done on that)
http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/6656/ingamestandflagslf2.jpg
here are the flags, the diag flag is on a corner and needs a small alignment, the vert flag is in the centre of the square
http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/4714/diagandstraightflagsls0.jpg
And here are the flags..
Should be an update over weekend :)

Here is an update :)
Some probs with importing and aligning, so 1 in game pic and some MS pics for ya.
http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/9936/redandwhitestripes4ai.png
This are the stripes you see round the edge of racing tracks.
http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/2377/shot00039hy.png
This is an ingame pic of a fence, that you often see round a track. It uses an alpha, needs slight adjustments.
http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/12/tyre1ql.png
Another MS pic, this of a tyre which should be stackable.
Update tomoz evening, although I have loads of homework :( lol.

lol.
Just got time for an update now before homework...:( Probs update tonight as well though :).
Did alot in about 1 hour, got the tyres and stripes into the game, plus I made something else which I think you will like.
http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/11/ingamestripesandtyres9ks.gif
There's the tyres and the stripes.
Note-The tyres wont stack one on top of the other-they seem to 'jump' up to certain heights-is there a way to fix it?
http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/5681/ingamegokartentrance2tu.gif
I decided to use a go-kart track to illustrate my pieces to you all, it might make the update more interesting then just pics of pieces. Here is the entrance to the go kart, with the flags and you can just see the fence (which is stackable and seemless by the way :))
http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/9365/ingamebridge3nd.gif
Here we have the bridge, it is not 100% aligned to the square correctly and also the path is not as steep and the ramp on the bridge-does anyone have ideas how to sort this? Does someone have dimensions/angles of path slopes? If you do please PM or post them to show me. Thanks :)
http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/8977/ingameoverviewe0qt.gif
This is the overview, as you can see, you can scroll a long way out and they wont disappear. Go much further and the stripes disappear however.
Hope you peeps enjoy that, more to come.

Good idea, added to the list. I have done a winners stand, you know-with the 1, 2, and 3 things.
Seeing as there seems no one hugely bothered with this set, I may put this on hold and start a new set I think would be really useful. The new set would be a set of:
1 Wall Piece, Curved Wall Piece, Curved Roof, Flat roof/path cover piece.
Every person could request a certain texture and then I would do it, the aim to have about 30 different texture sets in Set 1. What dya think?

Big work today. The best 2 bits of news are:
This set will be released by Feb 10th.
I got the billboards to work
On to the pics....
http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/7199/billboardsuccess0be.jpg
The billboard, needs a small tweak, the poles are recolourable.

Close up of the track pieces.
http://img108.imageshack.us/img108/4335/overview7cl.jpg
An overview showing new pieces:
Track (Start and Middle)
Winners Stand (Look close!)
The billboards
And the new Vert Corner Flags, slightly bigger and better I think.
http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/2416/roadpieces5pt.jpg
These are the road pieces, again just need to be a little bigger so there are no gaps.
http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/1103/stackablefence6sh.jpg
Here is the safety fence, which is stackable :D
http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/4822/winnersstand8jh.jpg
And what I call: 'The Winner's Stand'. (If you cant see the tallest box says 1, the next 2 and the final box 3. I will get a close up on that later.
Hope you enjoyed that huge update (2.5 hours work) lol. More than 70% through this pack, hope you enjoy.
Please post comments, critisism, etc.

The release shall be not much longer.
Here's the plan: 2 more pieces to do (bridge pieces so you can make huge bridges) and then beta testers are emailed the link tonight. They test and post here by Thursday (or it may be Friday if they are busy). I then make adjustments that they have suggested on Friday or Saturday, and it is released Saturday or Sunday.
Letters in bold are the days I want everything to happen :p
Update...
Today I resized the road items, so there are no gaps (pic below). I also made a loudspeaker, which I am really proud of! It works as a speaker so any sounds can be played from it, it is recolourable and there are 2 versions: Centre and Corner.
http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/6750/loudspeakers8jd.jpg
The loud speakers.
http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/2781/roadpieces9uz.jpg
The re-sized road pieces (plus a new piece-can you spot it ;)?)
If anyone has a item they would like to see in this pack requests must be posted in this thread by tonight, any after that will be too late, as the pack must be emailed to the beta testers by this evening. I repeat, requests no later than tonight.
edit: Imageshack is slow as hell tonight, I will get the road pieces pic up asap.

I didn't see an answer to your "jumping tire' problem, so I guess I'll offer a suggestion. Do you have collision detection on? If you have collision detection on, the object will jump to a "safe" height above the object below. This is to prevent peeps smacking their heads on objects that are too close to a coaster track. :p

Nice set. Some very useful items. But I have two little critics.
The tires are i.m.o. too big. They should have the same size as the ones in the go-cart-track, otherwise they look more like monstertruck-tires. You can leave them in the set and should add some smaller tires.
The poles of the security fences shouldn't match together, if you place them side by side. You should move te poles in your model, so that they look like a real continues fence, if you place them side by side (I hope you understand what I mean).
All in all a great set, that just need a little tuning, but tuning is anything in racing-sports.

Thansk for posting your opinion, it helps me imporve and also makes the pack more useful for the community.
1) The tyres-I like them as they are-maybe if I did a smaller version as well?
2) The fence-I think that is a great idea. If I add a pole at the end of each fence then they will join together better-thanks :)
The release is still going to be 27/01/06, both Spanky and Dkimber's posts show that more needs to be done and osudenny has also contacted me with his view on the pack.
