Here is my waterpark custom scenery set (a WIP). Yes, I know that a lot of my textures need to be unwelded, but I can't do it on Wings3D and I don't know my way around other programs.
http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/files/tiki_170.jpg
This is pretty self explanatory. Trying to make ones that fit body and wide slides, so far unsuccessful with the scaling.
http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/files/buoy_184.jpg
Buoys. Need a bit of scaling and lowering.
I am also having some Alpha Map problems,
can anybody help me out? I followed Vohdin's tutorial exactly.

Post a screenshot of the model settings in the importer. Make sure all group/mesh settings are visible.

Hopefully this (http://www.maj.com/gallery/slp/avatars/alpha-help.jpg) includes the group/mesh settings, I'm not sure what they are.

And now to resize it, because it's very out of scale.

This looks AMAZING! I know it's not that special, but it's great someone is making a waterpark pack. Maybe I'm going to make a waterpark when you finish this.

The Alpha Mask Image is too large an 'opening' you sould "dialate" edges- make the white area a little bit smaller. You could also try SIAlphaMaskLow as the Alpha Setting in the importer.

Innertubes! They WILL be recolorable later.

AND I finally figured out how to unweld, thanks to J-Playa's thread about unwelding.

I actually think that the other rock head looks better because it looks kind of worn down maybe you can say it's from the water and it looks more like a rock. Unless it is just the way you took the shot, then yea. Anyways I like this set! Keep up the great work.
Maybe you can make some of those bars about the closed waterslides for you to hold on to.

The slide rock(tunnel) is great. I hope you will make more items like this for the slides. As a matter of fact, I can see items like this being used on some coasters as well.
Nice inner tubes.http://smileymsn.eu/go/Animes/Smiley-msn-com-Animes-87040.gif Do you think you could make some more which are just a little smaller?
How about making a beach ball?http://smileymsn.eu/go/Animes/Smiley-msn-com-Animes-87060.gifhttp://smileymsn.eu/go/Animes/Smiley-msn-com-Animes-87150.gif
Maybe a hammock or two would look cool. http://smileymsn.eu/go/Animes/Smiley-msn-com-Animes-87152.gif They would look decorative if you know what I mean.
I truly like what you are doing. I will be keeping an eye on you thread.http://smileymsn.eu/go/3D/Smiley-msn-com-3D-2229.gif

I'm going to agree with Zach on this one. I liked the first rock face exit thing a lot better too. It looked more natural and not so blocky.

Me too. When I saw the first one I thought 'OMG! This set roxorz!!1!'. But the un-welded version is a bit weird, too blocky. The welded version looks really like a rock with a face. This one looks like a face with a rock... ?

The star of the update. I plan on making 2D alpha texture objects to place on these walls to decorate them, like palm trees, beach balls, etc. If you have any pictures I could use for an object, please post!

oh i have an idea for the walls. can you make them so we can make any design and they always will mach up. That would be so cool. So we don't always have to follow the samre pattern. That would be nice unless i missed something and you are already doing that.

The point of the walls is to have a section of beach, a transition from beach to water, then a section of water. I don't really get what you want.
I realized that that photo I posted did dot even include my favorite new wall piece:
http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/files/waterpark-4_674.jpg
The wave!
I also plan on making a jungle top piece for if you have the beach on top.
You'll probably notice the walls are not postioned right. To fix that I need to move each wall 1.8 units on the x axis. How do I do this in the importer so I don't have to re-import everything?
Also, to use multiple meshes you just import a texture for each mesh, and import the meshes and assign them textures in the create ovl window, right?
Things left to do:
-Make alpha textures
-Make surfboards
-Make billboards/signs (If I figure them out)
-Make icons
-Various welding/unwelding issues to fix
I probably won't even be able to touch the computer this week, but I'm hoping to release this sometime next month.
that looks great, keep it up

You'll need to recreate the ovls in any case, but if you don't want to change the model files in your modeller, add a translation matrix to the model transformation matrix stack (make sure it's above your coordinate system fix-up matrix in the stack) and recreate the ovl.
Also, to use multiple meshes you just import a texture for each mesh, and import the meshes and assign them textures in the create ovl window, right?
Yes. You can also use the same texture for more than one mesh.

Looks like a very promising Set. Did you make the dummy? Real cool in his shorts.
The wave-walls are fantastic. I would leave them without the dolphins etc. They look much better without these objects.
The palm-tree is my favouite, but I would make the trunk as a solid object.
Keep it up :up::up::up::up::up:

There are already some SpongeBob objects. Check the complete list of scenery thread.
I think you should add those blocks of water into the set; they're a nice extra. Although I might suggest making them in quarter tiles and also a small center tile piece, so that they're more versitile. Also I might suggest that you make it so that when you can put the wall on the same tile (so that you don't have to have disconnected walls at the corners). Hopefully that makes sense. Keep up the great work on this set.

I'm diggin' them water blocks, could you also make curved and diagonal version of it, so they could match Acena's (sp?) paths?
Awesome water blocks, could you maybe release a beta version of the pack for us all to mess about with before the final release? It'd be awesome if you could, don't mean to rush you though.

I dunno about the blocks, but definatly if you go with flat faced water pieces like in the pavement packs it will probobly be a winner...
Smallish
05-18-2007, 09:07 PM
Okey Dokey guys.
I've decided to release the water block in a later set to get this set off my back soon. I've fixed some positioning with the transformation matrix and now all of the actual models I decree done EXCEPT the two pieces... FROM HELL!!!!!!
http://www.maj.com/gallery/slp/RCT3/waterpark-8.jpg
These pieces are giving me a constant throbbing headache. Actually, I have declared the rope done now that it is unwelded, but the texture is now not totally lining up. The buoy is simply too big! I'll see if I can scale it with a transformation matrix.
But other than that, This set just needs icons and it can be released!
In other news, I'll be at Disneyland tomorrow!:ooolala-sign:

Or maybe we shouldn't be an idiot, and accept that this is the set.
Maybe you should learn the world doesn't revolve around you?
Maybe you should learn to read rules and stickies (I know you didn't by the pathetic attempt at posting an image)
Maybe you should learn it's physically impossible to model something off a picture you can't see?
Maybe you should learn that no-one is going to make a whole new set containing one item for you, 2 years after finishing the first one.
