yippee, my second CS set (whoopee)

It includes lots of rails and rail-connecting-type-things. I'll make a few more signs and try and get the path covers right (they are not low enough and peeps walk through them)

All the things marked in white are currently recolorable. expect more stuff soon! (I've included a nice low quality image btw ;) )

I like it, The This Way sign will be VERY helpful for me.

Are you going to be making some angled rails? those are helpful

Looks great, you will not fail this set ;) you will do a great job :D

dont worry.

good luck!

that's like, what? 2 comments in a minute? :bulb:

I'll make angled rails, definately. I'll also make bins, MAYBE benches and lamps ( and I'll get those path covers sorted! )

Btw, the pieces are all only full tile, quarter tile makes the alignment go wrong.

Pteri

edit: 3 comments, I don't know how, but rctmaniac has managed to post just before me, twice in a row now. (weird...)

Very Nice! Your set has now been added
to the list of CS (In progress)

Looking forward to the next update

Your path covers need to be a LOT thinner, they are cutting off the people's feet.

Jonnyears

They don't seem to be cutting off people's feet,
They are about the same size as Aceana's path covers

I know that you know more than me about path covers because
you have made a set of them but I think that they are fine

He's dead right, but I have said about twice now that they are not finished.

anyway...Luckygirl commented! ZOMG :D

sorry for the double post (mods please spare my life)

http://img386.imageshack.us/img386/2958/pathstuffpic24fc.jpg

Here's a small update with 3 angled rails (all recolorable), a six flags bin, a lamppost (currently has no proper light) and 2 path covers that work. No-one seemed to use the bin though :(

anyway, now you can do stuff like this:

http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/1082/pathstuffexample0hb.jpg

as you can see, the pieces don't line up perfectly.

expect some more soon!

Wow, great job. Those brick path covers will come in handy. Nice railing, and love the lamp and Six Flags bin.

Looks nice! One small thing: you should check the "No Shadows" option for the path covers.

I made the same mistake on my covers set, but I had to re-format my HD, so I can't redo them. :(

Thanks for the positive comments guys :D

Here's a small update of a bench in blender. I was wondering if anyone could point me to a tutorial on peep points, as I am 99% unsure about how you set them up. cheers!

I think the importer will do most of the work for you-Check out Belgabor's Page (http://belgabor.vodhin.net)

No, for peeps you have to do a bit of work yourself. Have a look at Dkimbers bowling thread, Vodhin explained it there.

I had a go at peep points. It worked, but the peep was higher than the bench and was sitting 90 degrees the wrong way. I'll try again soon.

@yesmydear: thanks for letting me use them :)

I don't know, another double post, I deserve to be shot

Well I've got no pics, but I've completed all 21 accessories (2 or 3 appear to have escaped)
I've got a new rail and signs and something else.

I've just got to import it without going insane.

yay.....

some more pictures!

Keep it up

Woot! I've imported it!

2 things have dissappeared:
1h post and a thiswaysign.

Also, 1 or 2 of the icons are slightly defunked. But everything else works. I'll make another small set with missing pieces in.

rather than make another set, just look back through the importer and make sure all your piecese are there, and all the icons an other stuff are set correctly, then all your bits should be togther in one set.....

Also check the locations of the bits... eg if the item is set as a fence it will be in fences, if it is set as misc wall it will be in the normal wall bits, path edge bits will be in that area etc etc.

apart from that this set looks great..

have you thought about including more than one path cover texture? for differnt areas of a park?

pteri3
01-26-2007, 03:52 PM
I checked all the things, looking back through all the files is too confusing, this is my first time using icon references. And it's the first time I've tried to import lots of different objects (I've made about 22)

You should make some peices that like cover stairs that would be cool i love the set keep up the great work.

If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure there have been a number of packs with that feature. Nice work! I'm imagining uses for them already!

P.S. 97.6% complete? ;)

pteri3
01-31-2007, 01:22 PM
Woot, an update :D

http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/6831/pathstuffpic3od4.jpg
I've made a corner version of the this way sign, 2 'please do not feed the animals- signs and a lamppost that works! Also, a new rail and joining piece.

I'm gonna have to re-import it, as the text strings have all changed around, and I've messed up some of the OVLs. Ah well :)

Pteri

PS 97.6%? I dunno either. :P

^tisk tisk tisk why do people not hav the patience to wait for a simple CS set. people hav to keep repeating sometimes this:
"Things take time to make so don't rush him/her," or maybe this, "Don't rush him/her or he/she won't release it on the day they wanted it to be on and delay it."

Just let Pteri go at his own pace with his CS creation and when he is ready to release the set he will tell us

Pteri said in the Complete list of (in progress) custom scenery
that he will NOT be continuing with the set.

Unless he changes his mind, you wont get it

pteri3
03-22-2007, 05:07 PM
What Jonny said is true, I probably won't get around to finishing this. The files have gone a bit wrong. Unless....

Well, it depends on what you guys think. If you think I should make it, please post and say, you might get lucky and I'll make it again :)

03-23-2007, 01:24 PM
I've made up my mind - I am going to make it. I'm going to get cracking right away, I've only get to redo the ASE's and then import it, and then check it works..and upload it somewhere.
Peace out :)

Yay, I love path stuff. I really like the "Don't feed the animals" sign.

Since we are talking about paths, is there a trick to make an elevated path look normal? I have a two story building and the railing on the second floor looks stupid.

all of its cool, find all of it useful but I love that medieval dragon lamppost...

Last year, at SFGA during frightfest, I saw what looked like cemetary monument tombstone with flames from the top and what looked like gargoyle lamps protruding from the sides..

could you check this link out and see if you could make it, its on the left of the picture in this link, thanks.
