GH2 Freak's aircraft set [Archive]

Hey I'm new to the forums and I wanted to make a new set. I am pretty good at 3D modeling and I wanted to make some aircraft so I made some and thought maybe make a pack out of it, so I did. So far, I have 3 things.

I know this one is too big.

how many polys are on those objects??? It is suggested to keep the poly lvl to at the most 500, 300 would be better. Looks like an awesome set though and Welcome to the forums :D

They look good-but they may have lots of polys-the tower would be ok as it would be placed maybe once or twice but the aircraft could be placed loads of times in parks.

Hmm.

All in all this project looks like it would make excellent use of the newly working LOD meshs... You can have a highly detailed mesh for up close that can keep most of those polys up close, and then swap it for a much lower detail quickly as you zoom out to where you'd see more than one.

Ya some Boeing aircraft would be cool. Boooo Airbus!!! Lol my dad works for Boeing, but not the aircraft section. He works for Boeing Satellite Systems. But anyways, ya some big jets would be cool. I really like planes. I play Flight Simulator 2004 and its fun and I like reading about planes. They are fascinating machines.

Yes, but how?

WOW! look'n better! I'm a BIG FS2004 player and I KNOW my planes:) . I like that runway. You should make gates and a decent size terminal too(just saying). If you think about it, this could be a MASSIVE set. GO BOEING!!:)

Thanks! Um to do the terminal, i need some textures because I have been looking all over for them but just can't seem to find them.

Besides, what's the point of releasing terminals? Your park isn't going to service an O'Hare or Logan Int. Some stairs would suffice the parks better...

Nice set, can't wait to see the finished product! Maybe throw in some Learjets, or Beavers, and release it with blank textures so that people could add their own color scheme and use it for "transportation" to their park...

Edit: Noticed that the first 747 had a 4 wheeled nose gear, you are familiar that they have 2 right? Just checking ;)

Someone told me that when the y play FSX they only get FSX they get like 10FPS. I like FS2004, I can play high detail setting and be fine. Plus, there are plenty of planes that I have downloaded so I have a wide range to choose from. But FSX does look cool.
Anways, I dont think it is a 747. Notice how it doesn't have the double deck configuration in the front? It looks more like an Airbus A340, but the A340 doesn't have the 4 wheeled gear in the front.

Ok i have importerd 2 things. I imported the tower and the textureless plane.I know the plane is way too small.

acutally, I can think of uses for that small version of the plane as well.

Just keep an eye on the polys... remember that the more polys an object has the greater potential lag if used in quanity.

Great set!!! I absolutly love airplanes:heart: . you should make wallmounted planes. like so there algles and attached to a wall. and add a billbord. look at that guys milatary set. its like that, the blue plane. but make it like that. i realy could use that or something like that. also you should make lifesized planes also. one 1 full square and one 1/4th of a square:up:

Its a 747 and 14,000 polys according to Turbosquid, for whoever wanted to know
Btw is your username on Turbosquid ExtremeDetail because that bottom plane looks exactly like one on there, without the Quantas colours...

Awesome! The jet almost looks like a 747. its just too streamlined and doesn't have the 4 tires in the front. I have a idea, how about making mix n match planes! like different bodies,landing gear, wings, tails, engines. Might be too hard though, just keep up the great work.also what do you use for textures? like normal pics? if so check airliners.net they have some good pics of terminals.

-Baggage Claim Belt.
-Baggage Carousel.
-Metal Detector.
-Escalator.
-Waiting Room.
-Baggage Counter.
-Gate Info Desk.
-Gate Walking Hall Bridge.
-Stairway Truck.
-Baggage Train & Carring.
-Baggage Belt Truck.
-Wind Sock.
-Radar Rotate.
-Tractor with push stick with plane is backward.
-Box Truck with Cargo Lift for Food in plane.
-Fuel Truck.
-Cargo Box with Flatbed and Train.
-Tractor Train.
-Blue Lights mean plane is on road.
-White Lights mean plane is ready runaway to fly away and fly down.
-nonstair escalator for standing mover when someone hate walk too long.
-Airport Baggage Cart and Coin in Cart Rental
-Flight Time and Schedule Monitor

Hmmm.. seeing as you are new here. let me tell you the bad news. As most people know, I'm GH2Freak. I have not finished this pack and most likely won't ever. If I feel as if I wanted to continue, I will soon but right now, no.
