On the Lost Caravan secondary quest, I've located the caravan & got them all following me, but I can't figure out where to drop them off.

When I returned to the Cloudworks city, it said "Quest updated: Lost Caravan" as each of the caravan members entered the city with me. But there was no change in the Quest Book about it.

And to make matters worse, after I entered the city I can't even talk to the caravan leader any more even though he still has an exclamation point over his head. Which means they're still following me around, but I can't tell them to "wait here" anymore. So now I have to fight the monsters with them.

None of them have died yet, but if they do, I assume I'll fail the quest. Can somebody please tell me where I'm supposed to drop them off? It's driving me crazy.

I think you need to get back to the city and speak with that potion seller (a female or something)

When you select a secondary quest, a green arrow appears on your minimap. Follow it and it will lead you to the person that you need to talk to. It's not the potion lady, but a lady who stands near a tent. Your minimap will turn into a green dot, indicating that you reached the right person, to update/complete your quest.

I mean, how much simpler does this quest system have to be??? In Morrowind, you have NO pointers and NO fast travel, only a written record of dialogue and directions (take the road east, leaving from this and that city etc.).

Soon, the game developers will make it so easy that we only push a button to automatically be taken to every single spot for every single quest. Where's the fun and adventure in that? I play these type of games to explore the world. Unfortunately, Silverfall lacks the vast array of caverns, tombs and abandoned ruins, that dot the countryside in Morrowind and Oblivion. Never-the-less, Silverfall is pretty addictive :)
