This is my smeezy (poor) attempt at cs. They are two different tubes. You can tell they have problems. I made a list of the problems:
1. They object is either half way below ground or too much above ground. Never on the ground:sour:
2. The tubes overlap, no one wants overlapping tubes.......
3. they are not compatible with DRP's tubes, mine are too small.
Anyway, this is what i have done so far (shows the overlap)

These need alot of work. Besides we already have tubes in another CS pack
that do the same thing and look alot better.

As the title states, this is my "smeezy" attempt at cs..............
EDIT: If anyone has any ways of fixing the probs. then that would be great. If you say fix orientatio then ive already done that many times........

Well, for all of your questions I can only say model and position them correctly. See my facts & figures page for basic sizing and positioning information.
Make sure you use the correct fix matrix for your modeller.
To make the fit coasters and DRP's tubes you're in for trial and error.

I woudl recommend doing another set, everyone has DRP tubes and we dont need more, TBH. Maybe look through the requests thread for ideas-thats where I got the idea for my Restaurant, Path and Racing packs. BTW--for a first object it isnt bad.

I don't agree, the more tubes we have the better. Iirc there are some things DRP's don't include like steep angles. If Sliverfas can create an add-on set that includes missing things it will be highly appreciated by people I think.

I know, that would be really useful,
What has been missing is joining peices
from flat pieces to sloped pieces
They would be really useful

One thing that i would like to request if you can ever get around to it. DRPs tubes rock, however, when placing them inside a darkride, they REALLY stand out, its no big deal to place some walls around them to cover it up, but when using angled peices, it becomes a major task trying to hide it. If you could, Can you make tubes that would over lap DRPs tubes to hide them, preferably Dark. Nothing huge, just like a coat that hides the exterior color from view.
heres an example-

No pressure, this is just a shot in the dark hope that maybe you would.
Besides that.. I Would love to see an addon for DRPs tubes, I think that we could really use it.

That is a very good idea. I am trying to get my tubes to be the same size as DRP's first but once i get that down then that is a good idea.

to tell you the truth, i think i would prefer these tubes because they are darker.

Ive tried a different texture and its sort of better, not aligned to the grid right though....... I am trying also as i said make them compatible with DRP's tubes.

Matching the size of DRPs shouldnt take to long.. just make a few different sizes, import them, and see which one is the closest, and what imperfections it has.

I dont use blender so I could be very wrong here-did you make sure all the points were selected before unwelding?

If you use Blender I recommend using the method I describe in the unwelding mini-tutorial (Blender CS tips link in my sig).
