Atari as well as some 3rd party companies released several movie games on the 2600 - the most famous (and misrepresented) of which of course is E.T. Some were only loosely based on a movie series while othes tried to copy a particular movie itself. Which one do you enjoy the most?

Star Wars Empire Strikes Back all the way!

That game was pretty cool - I've managed to survive on it for quite a while too!

I'll have to go with Star Wars as well (although I'm not a huge fan of the movie itself... the game was pretty cool) Both Halloween and TCM seem to be rather difficult to get your hands on anyways and I've never played them sadly... only seem them go for high prices.

... [ awaiting E.T. vote ;) ]... it's really not as bad of a game as everyone makes it out to be in my opinion... it just gets irritating / frustrating.

I went with Star Wars too as all the games were pretty good (didn't like Jedi Arena much though). But where is Ghostbusters on that list? That would have got my vote. :noob:

Sorry, I had a much larger list but this forum only accepts 9 places. I'll have to start a bigger poll on JS2. :)

The only one of those games that I have played was E.T. and I never could get the hang of it. I recently purchased Fantastic Voyage, 2 of the 3 Star Wars games, Krull, and Porky's but can't seem to get my hands on the others. Since I only recall having an instruction book of E.T., it is going to be difficult for me to declare a favorite (though I have won some auctions that only included instruction books, so I may have the others as well). I will check back and cast my vote when I can make an informed decision.

I'd definently suggest giving Krull some time (I voted for it obviously). That game can be a lot of fun and it's not too hard to learn how to play it.

I just checked and found that I do have an instruction booklet for Krull amongst those that I have purchased, so I will have to give that game a try.

I'm the guy who voted for E.T. The game gets a lot of bad wrap, but I've played many other Atari games that I thought were significantly worse. Maybe it was all the hype behind it that made expectations so high. It wasn't that bad of a game though. Not great, but not bad.
