I just found out why I was getting disconnected! Here follows cut'n'paste from my post at the fileplanet beta forum:
This fix is only applicable if you happen to have a router that supports 3rd party firmware (i.e DD-WRT), or IP filter settings. I'm currently on a Linksys WRT54GL with DD-WRT v23 SP1 (standard). I find this solution better than to run my computer in DMZ :)
Under Administration ->Management you will find TCP timeout and UDP timeout. These are set to 3600 (sec) as default, which is way too much. This can cause major problems during p2p traffic. Lots of guides I've read recommended 90 (especially because of the amount of connections while using BitTorrent). I've been playing rock stable for probably 8 hours now using 180. This setting should make both p2p traffic and TDU happy :)
Also, dont forget that windows update KB917422 is known to cause problems for games. Either remove it or search google for a hotfix for that update. I'm also using the tcpip.sys patch to allow for more half-open connections (handy for i.e torrents. Dunno if this helps for TDU though).
