I just downloaded the open beta and when I play it, it stutters like h*ll no matter what video settings I use, but it stutters maybe less in higher settings. I'm getting like 2fps whenever I go over 30km/h. I can play NFS:C on full settings and Oblivion runs at 20fps on medium settings.

Here's my comp: AMD Athlon 3000+, ATI x800xl, 512mb pc2700 RAM.

Plz someone help me I dont get why it stutters like that :(.

I get the same problem. It might be the coding for the game that will be sorted out after this beta test.

could it be the videocard?

i use the 128mb X300se (the se stands for 'special edition'...cant seem to fidn anything special about it though its slow as h*ll!) and the game stutters everywhere.

if you havent got a good answer in 4 hours, im getting a new 7600 today so i will tell you my experience:)

What's the requirements again? 512MB seems like an awfully low amount of ram for a game like TDU (at least, to me)....

Is anything else running in your icon tray? (may be a stupid question.... but never it hurts to ask..) (disable anti-virus software, any messengers.... even the firewall temporarily to see if that could be a cause)

I only had antivirus program on, but my hard drive is pretty messed up, defragmenting it with diskeeper now, I'll come here and tell if it had any effect.

It's not nice to play without sound, but it gotta be better than with the stuttering.

Btw. what videocards do you use? And how can I report this problem to Atari so they can get it fixed in the full version.

Please enter this into the feedback/bug submission tool at the fileplanet beta forum along with a copy of your current dxdiag. The link for the beta site is in the confirmation email that you received with the serial number.
