Cant access the cloudworks/desert

My demo map seems to be broken there is nothing but the edge of the world?
Is it bugged or did they include quests in the demo that we cant actually do?

maybe you are seeing the next area? on the minimap when i reached the next area it looked like the edge of a world, just running right into it brought up a loading screen that loaded it for me. I thought this was kind of disapointing i was expecting a persistant world but hey one game can't have everything. but i havn't gotten to cloudworks yet so i can't vouch for that.

Browsing other forums i've heard a lot of people say thats the end of the demo. and the purple mist is what would be an area transition in the full game

There's one quest in the demo than you can't complete (the one given by the blacksmith assistant). You can't as well complete the main quest "going to cloudworks" of course, as you can't get to Cloudworks, which is not included in the demo.

And where you'd have a zoning to Cloudworks zone in the final game, here you're just blocked at the edge of your current zone.

I thought the demo had 3 starting areas and a cap of level 15? I see one starting area and I can't get experience past level 14.

Actually the level cap of 15 is most likely a mistake and it's 14. As for the 3 areas, you have: the starting area, the elf village area (south of the starting area), and the underground ruined village area filled with undeads where you have to kill the dwarf on his mount for the main quest.
