Um, Tim, like I said the OVA called Read Or Die is a lot better than the ROD TV show. You should check it out.

The OVA is called Read Or Die (which was on Cartoon Network last year), there are also 4 Mangas that are called Read Or Die (which is before the events of the OVA and doesn't really make sense, it also tells the back story of how Yomiko Readman meets Nenene Sumerigawa). The TV show (which was on G4TV last year) is called Read Or Dream, which is also a Manga that is currently being published for the US (they are side stories about the 3 Paper Sisters). The main difference is that in the Read Or Die OVA The British Library are the "Good Guys", and in Read Or Dream TV Show they are the "Bad Guys". Another difference is that instead of 1 paper master in Read Or Die(Yomiko), in Read Or Dream there are at least 5 (which IMO is a little overkill).

Like I said before, the Read Or Dream TV series is a little hard to follow, and not as "cool" as the Read Or Die OVA. Tim, you should at least rent the Read Or Die OVA, I think you will enjoy it.

You must be joking... okay, the OAV's fine in a silly sort of way (How seroiusly can you take something the plot of which revolves around bringing Mozart back from the dead to conduct a "Suicide Symphony" to the world?) but the series is much, much better.

Especially if you're talking character, as Joker hardly even had one to speak of in the OAVs.
