What am i supposed to do with that fighter carrier after destroying 4 nodes which launch fighters and 4 bigger ships which launch after that? My crew says something about flying inside, but what to shoot inside? I've tried flying REMs inside, managed to get them to the center of the ship through one of the 4 holes and detonate, but no damage was registered (maybe i must hit exactly one spot inside?). I tried to fly ownship inside, but in the center of the structure, when i've tried to turn the ship to search for something to shoot at i immediattely hit something and explode. I had an idea of flying comsec inside as it's much smaller, but comsec separation is disabled ("docking port not ready"). Any suggestions?:noob:

There's a mechanism inside the carrier, which will only become vulnerable if you fly inside it. Easiest way to destroy it is with seeker missiles.

Wow, answer from game designer himself! Thanks maybe i'd be able to beat it now:)
Does this mechanism appear on contact list? After flying inside, is it situated to closer to the center of the ship or in reverse direction?

Wow, how did I not see this post  I'm sorry, Sneaksie!

The reactor core is located in the center of the base ship, directly below the Spartacus when you fly in (I suggest flying in slightly from the bottom to avoid the gattling and heavy PBC of the base ship). It's a big, illuminated thing. It may help to go to an external view to see it.

The easiest way to shoot is it to remain oriented for a quick getaway. I'm not sure if the reactor appears as a separate target...I think it does, but if not, you can subtarget the reactor. Fire two missiles and get out of there— and be careful getting out ;)

I think it appears as a separate contact on your contact list. It's a long time since I scripted that mission!

WEP view is a good way to target it and keep your orientation for flying out.

Ah, yes, how could I forget! Indeed, WEP screen is the best for this situation. I mean, I generally prefer it for combat in general, but for this mission it helps a lot.
