Age of the Empires Series

oh man i had Age of the Empires 2 a while back AND I LOVED IT!!! lol I really like the stratagey part of it and i would still have it but it mess up my laptop :( I was just wonderin if any of you had it or have played it before.

btw has anyone else had problems with it too? mine were about the graphics card, and the graphics would mess up alot. but there is a silver lining cause im supposed to get a desktop soon so i can put it back on! :D

I have the latest verision of this ( i think( which is called age of mythology, graphics are really good and has great online multi-player options. Does anyone here own it or play it?

Yeah i have all the age of empire games and expansions and i really like them, i dont have age of mythology...but thats not age of empires...notice it doesnt have empires in the name, but yeah it did come from those...

i like the cheat where you get a car with a mchine gun :D lol its fun...

i also think its cool we got a new forum section!

LOL yeah there was a cheat like that on AE2 where you got a cobra with machine guns :twisted: i got like 20 and just destroyed everything i could :twisted:

Age of Empires series, first type of game is age of empires made by that studio, the age of epires II then age of mythology, i count it in the series, it just was better graphics.

ahem...u forgot the expansions :shock: lol well they made rise of rome expansion for the first one, and conquerers expansion for the second

i like those games, they're like starcraft, except more complicated, and less alienish

I love the AOE series, Especiallly the 2nd one, but i never had any problems with my Laptop not taking it, Either you need some more space on it, or its wont take the game as its too old.

i own the first age of enpires and the 2nd ith an ecpansion pack and i do admit that they a re good games . i enjoyed the 2nd AOE more than the 1st but i prefer on the first one when u can make the cars an laser ppl an they destroy nearly everythin in one shot .

AOE is good but i do prefer the Command and Conquer series , now there was some classic games.

imho, a very interesting update, less micromanaging of resources(like not having to babysit units all the time)more focus on more important things..

I bought Rise of Nations as soon as it came out. The first two weeks it was great, I enjoyed it, but then it kind of lost its appeal. I guess I was looking for anover Civilisation but nothing can compare yet. Settlers was a good substitute but Civ was and still is my favourite.

Did you like Civilizations Baker? I was thinkin of gettin in but i hadnt heard nething about it. What did you like about it?

They kinda started losing there originiality as the series progressed, I preferred Civ 2 but I would tell anyone to buy the latest Civ if its there first one. Its just so addictive, hard to explain whats so good about it but once you start playing you will know. I guess I like games that there is loads going on at once, so you are never sat about waiting for osmething to happen.
