Battle of the SUPER games

Hey, im wondering what u all think the best super games is, so just vote on it! More like what series do you think is the best..Thanx..

The GTA series is indeed great, but I would probably lean more towards the Monkey Island series (excluding 4, was a bit of a let down).

I know i may be being all old school and stuff,

But ya just gotta love Spyro the dragon series and Crash badicoot, I can finish all 3 of the Spyro games (for PS1) in 1 day, Around 9 hours, I did it last saturday, I am the shiz, And the Crash games, apart from Crash 1. I have done all the games 100% or in crash 3s case 104% , I love those games,

I know that they might not constitute as "super games", but the Chrono games are my favorite. Chrono Cross is my number one and is followed very closely by Chrono Trigger, and I am very excited about the possibility of Square making a third in the series...But the possibility of them doing that anytime soon is starting to look rather grim. :cry:

Aside from the Chrono series I do have other games out there that I know are "super". The Legend of Zelda series, the Metroid series, the Final Fantasy series, actual Mario games and not just Mario party games, and in my book the Warcraft series of games have all been awesome.

Now if Square will just make a sequal to Vagrant Story... :wink:

i gotta admit , metal gear was good, grand theft auto was better but the ZELDA series is by far the best . i was playing that months after i competed it bout 3 times.

the gae boy games arent too clever but the n64 games rule

I do admit that the N64 Zelda games are awesome (especially Majora's Mask) and A Link to the Past for the SNES was brilliant, but many of the other ones left me underwhelmed (The ones for the CD-i were crap and the Wind Waker didn't look right to me).

ya, but the wind waker is actually pretty good if u give it a little while, but it still isn't as good as the N64 zeldas...but i pre-ordered the wind waker and got a bonus disk with a harder version of orcarina of time(master quest), with more levels and that was even better than the original

Try PS1 was launched in 1997 I believe or late 1996 making it 8 or 9 years old.

You want to talk old school try Metroid 1, Excitebike, or the even older Q-bert, Wizard of Wor, so on and so forth.


Aside from blatent misuse of facts the best super game series in my mind may be Gran Tourismo, those games sucked about half of my gaming time out of me becuase of my refusal to even race anyone without getting an IA(GT), IA(GT2), S(GT3).

Aside from those how about the Warcraft series except 3 which blows hardcore, or dare I say Sim City?

Pong was were I started my love for gaming. I am an old old-school gamer. I actually loved Pong when it first came out. Found a re-release a little while back plus my cell phone has a similar version on it. Gotta love the originals. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

DRIV3R graphics? theyre ok but if you go from your house, left left diagonal then follo the road until u get to a dupster on the right go behind the dumpster and jump and ull sink through the floor and u can walk around for a bit then ull fly up and be on a roof where u can shoot evryone but no-one can see u. cool huh.(man i luv ruining the game up)


and i think one of the best game series are the WWF/WWE series-especially the latest for ps2-here comes the pain.i unlocked oldskool-undertaker and he comes equipped with a big weight(*****es like misterio,hurricane etcetc cant lift u up) a great stamina(gets up alot and doesnt lose easily to pins and submissions) and has the TOMBSTONE PILE-DRIVER which is about twice as good as the last ride and chokeslam.All for 3500 game dollas.

(also if u go on create a wrestler and put tori wilson with the ppls elbow,then play a bra and panties match wiv her, do the ppls elbow and instead of taking of the elbowpad shell take her top and shorts off leaving her in her UNDERWEAR.but if they then attempt to strip u down the game crashes and sometimes corrupts your saves-but its worth it :wink: )

Monkey Island series was absolutely fantastic. Graphics got better and better, and it was always funny. There were rumours of a 5th one, bu obviosuly they didn't get round to making it, shame...

Both those series are "super" but Bioware's series of games based on Forgotten Realms kick everythings ass ;) yes, even Zelda's (in my not so humble opinion :D )

Think I'm going to play BG1/Tales of the Sword Coast/BG2/ToB all over again with 1 character, though it'd be better if you could transfer into BG2 with equipment.

ya i loved the WWE/WWF series too... the create a character in 4 was the best, 5 wasnt very good at all...


but best ever... i liked mario, thps, the smackdown games r in there, gta, zelda... thats the main ones

The sims series is one of my favourtie. I wasted a load of money on all of the first series. And now the second series coems out and it seems like i wasted all of my money...
I'l probably buy all of the sims 2 add ons and then they'll realease the sims 3...

All-time favourite game ever of all time? Dang that's hard. Burnout 3 is pushing hard for the title right now, with OutRun2 coming in a very close second.

But I gotta say the game that's abused all my free time since, well, a long time: Counter-Strike. If time spent playing is a measure of my favourite game, that's gotta be the one.

Okay, so here's the thing. I'm living away from home at the moment, I brought my gba with me and I was considering getting one of them. I think to myself, before I buy I'll check out the original that they are remaking (which i happened to bring with me).

Horror of horrors, I try to connect my gba to the ac supply... and realise that I haven't brought the connecty thingy with me (I have one of the original gbas).

As I can't use my gba til i go home, I'm not buying either of them yet. But when I do (which i will, because I want one for the shapeshifting pokemon so i can breed some of my weird ones from sapphire) I'm getting fire red, because it has charizard on the front, my first ever pokemon

lol in the first ones i always picked bulbasaur. he had the type advantige for the first 2 gyms so he was very helpful and the 3rd one he was very useful against too since electric doesnt hurt grass much. plus he evolved to his highest stages fastest. he was da bomb 8-)

i always chose squirtle cos thats just cool...then i traded it over to yellow and restarted with a diffo one then traded..and then again with the third...then started with squirtle then traded all three back to the game soi had all three startters...not a cheat but yet very helpful :wink:
