Which is your fave gaming moment? Something that has surprised you, enthralled you, made you happy or sad, you all know what I mean. Here's a few of my picks.

1. Psycho Mantis (MGS, PSX)
- Do I really need to say more. MGS was an excellent game for ripping down the forth wall, it was a game which knew it was a game. There are many sublime moments in this game but the best is Psycho mantis. From moving your controller around on the floor, to saying which games you owned, as well as the method you need to beat him... it was superb and my fave gaming moment of all time so far.

2. The end of Disk 1 (Final Fantasy VII, PSX)
- Now there are going to be 2 types of people who read this. Those who've not played the game will go "What?" those who HAVE will nod sagely. It is the most emotional and heartwrendering part of any game I have played, bar none, the music and the shock value of this (now diminished because most people will now know what I'm on about.)

3. Completing Sonic the hedgehog (Sonic 1, Master System)
The only game I played and completed through to the end, the first time I saw the credits I was elated.

4. Playing Ico for the first time (Ico, PSX)
Ico is a game like few others. It looks gorgeous, there are no energy bars, and all you have are your wits about you. It's actually a hard feeling to describe.

My fave was when playing Resident Evil 1 on PS 1. Or may have been Resi 2 actually . Cant remember. Anyway at some bit in the game, there is really creepy music playing and you are tiptoeing along a dark corridor, knowing sthg is coming but not sure what. The tension is built up perfectly until BAM! straight through the windows bursts a load of crows. Scariest moment of my gaming life by miles, and i mean miles.

I think that's Resi 1.

I remember playing Resi 1 with some mates and when the Dog bursts through the mirror, we all bricked it at the same time :)

Hard to say for me...

I can say what my LEAST FAVORITE is though. Not even a year ago, I bought an original 8-bit Nintendo and a bunch of games for it. My next door neighbor used to have one and he and I spent hours playing Mario III, but could never beat it. Well, a few months ago, I got my hands on a copy of Mario III and beat it. I was happy beyond all words! This was, I think, the first console video game I had ever played! I was expecting some kind of big finish... but no. All that happens is Mario walks into the room where the princess is being kept, and she says "I'm sorry, but the princess is in another castle... Just kidding!" And then the game ends. That's it, except for the credits! I was totally at a loss...

One of my favourite things had to be trapping people in the sims. You'd invite them to your house, but them in a room, light a firework and watch them run around. I had hours of fun with that :D. Also getting stealth of MGS was great as it took me ages to complete and was worth playing again with stealth.

Did anyone ever play Roller Coster Tycoon? I enjoyed making rides so that all the cars would shoot off and land in different areas of the park and blow up. Also, we enjoyed making roller coasters so thrilling that no one would ride them. Also, you could pick people up and drop them in the water... hehe...

The great thing about the Orcale games was that after beating them, you could get secret codes that, when you typed them into the other game (yes, I have both Seasons and Ages) you got special weapons or unlocked more of the story. I totally exhausted the secrets and played the combined Seasons/Ages game all the way to the end where you fight (but suprize here) Gennon. I just wish you could have gotten the special weapons earlier in the game when they would actually have been useful...

I don't know... Meryl never appealed to me THAT much, I'm more of a Sniper Wolf fan :) (Hey, I guess I'm just like Otacon at heart....without the incontinence)

that reminds me....

Metal Gear Solid 2
Finding out about Otacon's past and how REALLY messsed up it is... it's like a Jerry Springer show.... *shudders* It REALLY shocked, me and I remember going "Whaaaat?" when I first saw it.

*was more for sniper wolf too* (Hell I almost cosplayed her, but didn't end up going to a convention)

The whole Otakon and his sister thing made me sad, especially the bit with the parrot. (not saying much just in case someone didn't play it yet.)
