saints row or GTA IV?

saints row for xbox360 looks REALLY GREAT!! wat do u think is better? GTA IV or saints row? (although GTA IV will still release after more than a year but wat do u think will be better)

Have you ever seen Driver: Parallel Lines? It looks exactly the same as GTA, it even has the yellow circle indicating mission areas. :rolleyes:

I think Saint's Row will be in the same mold. In fact, just about everything that's a free-roam gangster game is a ripoff of GTA these days. :rolleyes:

It will always be GTA. When that game first game out (ahh 2d) it broke new grounds. All the games that try and copy it will never exceed it.

but not much places to explore like GTA SA.... and saints row has player customization in shape and clothing and all that stuff that GTA doesnt have...i thinks its gonna be better (although i really like GTA)

im mad that they made GTA:LCS for ps2, because they made it for the psp not the ps2!

if you are to buy eather of the two get GTA hands down... every game that has to do with "gangsters" or what not thats not GTA are very bad. stick to GTA.

You hit the nail on the head with that comment... I was kinda sad to see Godfather: The Game almost mimic GTA completely.

Everyone who posted in this thread needs to play the Saint's Row demo.. it's been out for a quite awhile now. The game is great. The whole city is loaded once the game starts. In and out of buildings with no loading whatsoever. And of course it lives up to the xbox 360 standards.

However, this question isn't even fair. GTA IV is coming out much, much later than Saints Row (Saints Row comes out in, what a week? GTA IV - year+). Of course GTA IV (on the 360) is going to be better than Saints Row. Also, Saints Row is THQ vs. RockStar? Not even close. But anyone who likes these types of games and has a 360 should buy Saints Row to hold yourself off for the time being.

I would prefer it if it was more of a Goodfellas type gangster, far cooler than the Crip style gangs, which is why I always liked to dress my character in a variety of suits (black and white, yellow suit with a green shirt etc.)

Apart from the creating your own character, I really don't think any of them matter. When I had the game, I smoked and drunk about once or twice. I prefer GTA's story anyway.

Apart from the Gender part, all of these and have been in GTA for ages. GTA is also far funnier, has better characters, better driving (the driving on Saints Row was crap in my opinion) and has a better map. Saints Row was really just a knock off GTA on a more powerful console, therefore you could do more and it looked better. However, GTA:SA I still find more fun and just better.

I liked the demo of Saint's Row from when I had my 360, but never enough to buy it. Nothing of that game genre will ever be as good as GTA.
